JHotDraw is a two-dimensional graphics framework for structured drawing editors that is written in Java. It is based on Erich Gamma's JHotDraw, which is copyright 1996, 1997 by IFA Informatik and Erich Gamma. I was wondering, besides JHotDraw, do you try out any Java 2D Drawing Framework, which is worth a try?

  • Merging deletes in a Team Foundation Server baseless merge

    I have two TFS branches that do not have a direct parent/child relationship in TFS. In a certain revision, 94 in my example, several items were deleted. I have been tasked with applying those deletes to the main branch. I'd like to do so through a baseless merge. I tried the following command to do so: tf merge /baseless /recursive /version:94 .\programs\program1 ..\Release\programs\program1 Most of the items in the tree were marked as "merge", and some were marked as "merge edit". However, none of the items were deleted at the destination. On a whim i tried to merge over a single delete like so: tf merge /baseless /recursive /version:94 .\programs\program1\source1.cs ..\Release\programs\program1\source1.cs I got the following error message: The item [TFS_PATH] does not exist at the specified version. How do I do this? Is there a way to avoid making all those deletes myself?

  • Migrate your data from VSS Server to Team Foundation Server

    Hello Everyone, Yesterday, I asked a question Migrate to TFS and the answer mentioned some very good tools which can be very helpful. Thanks to jwanagel. But I forgot to mention there the VSS server and TFS server are two different machines. And when you've both on different location it seems you would have to take a different path. What would I have to do to migrate my Visual SourceSafe database which is on a different machine to a TFS Server which is on an another machine? Thanks.

Why is this and are there better implementations? I am also looking for a good example that uses this framework to validate database dependent business rules.   • Missing AVFoundation.framework

    Hi, AVFoundation.framework is not where the documentation says it should be. I have iPhone SDK 2.2 installed (never had previous sdk versions installed) and I can't find that folder under /System/Library/Frameworks I did find it under /Developer/Platforms/iPhoneOS.platform/Developer/SDKs/iPhoneOS2.2.sdk/System/Library/Frameworks/ folder but if I add it from that location, then the compiler can't find the header files. I tried copying the entire AVFoundation.framework folder to /System/Library/Framework, but it still can't find the header files. How can I use AVFoundation classes? Thanks, Alex

    I have a problem. The thing is that I am using Visual Studio 2005 and .Net Framework 3.5 sp1. I have created the app and I want to have the .Net Framework prerequisite installed before however I can only select 2.0 . This wont go well since some columns in some of my grids will be arranged differently along with other problems. Is there any add-ins or something I can use to included .Net Framework 3.5 sp1 in my prerequisite list?

  • .NET Framework 4 in WPF not showing bitmap effect

    I am having a problem using VS2010 and framework version 4 with bitmap effects. If I have the code below and run it in a WPF application using the .NET Framework 4 Client Profile, the bitmap effect does not appear. If I set the framework version to .NET Framework 3.5 Client Profile (and change no code), it runs as expected. At first, I thought it was a problem in my application, but I removed the code and put it in a separate standalone application and it behaves the same. Anyone else verify that the same problem happens? What is happening here?   • Does Team Foundation support cross-app workitem groups?

    We're currently using Visual Source Safe and BugNet and looking to migrate up and away from VSS. I've been pushing for either SVN ( a) we're an ASP.NET shop, b) DCVS is not an option - no matter how much I like Hg ;-) or TFS. Well we finally got a new dev server, so I talked the boss into installing TFS on it (30 day trial). In the meantime, we had started experimenting with FogBugz. We really like FogBugz for about 80% of what we want to do, and the other 20% is probably stuff that we don't know what we want. I'm pushing for TFS because it allows for IDE integrated (mostly) everything. He's pushing for FogBugz because he can group tasks by customer and then project and manage everything from one dashboard. (which means I lose most of my IDE integration - no huge loss I agree) Does TFS support a single dashboard that would span all our solutions (in this case each solution is a full app that we sell to a vertical market client) and let us assign workitems to each solution-spanning-group? So for instance I think we envision something like this: PROJECT1 - Bugtracker and workitems PROJECT2 - Bugtracker and workitems PROJECT3 - Bugtracker and workitems CUSTOMER1 - Deployment schedules, required features, specific notes (Uses PROJECT1, PROJECT2) CUSTOMER2 - Deployment schedules, required features, specific notes (Uses PROJECT2, PROJECT3) CUSTOMER3 - Deployment schedules, required features, specific notes (Uses PROJECT1, PROJECT3) Hopefully that makes sense. naturally it's more complicated than this but I think I've given the details enough to paint a picture. I offered the option of creating dummy projects per customer but he doesn't like that and it doesn't really give us the single dashboard view that we're hoping to end up with (and that FogBugz as we've sorta implmented things does do now). Has anyone got a good suggestion on a management app that would accomplish what both of us want?

    My dev team used in the past MKS Source Integrity source control and we are not evaluating to migrate to TFS 2010. Some concepts and meaning are a bit different and we need sometime to learn how to do the same things we do before in TFS or how to change our approach. First of all, we used to do Checkpoints for each software release. MKS in this case does a snapshot of all source code files. You can later compare different checkpoints to see the code differences, or extract a whole checkpoint as a build. Does TFS have a similar feature? Do you know where can I read something about it?     I'm trying to install the latest version of #Develop but am getting the message This setup requires the .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 to be installed I'm running Windows 7, and I've tried running the installer for .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 plus the installer for the Windows 7 SDK. The installer just says to use the Control Panel to turn Windows Features on and off to configure .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 Anyone got any suggestions ?

    I was importing some entities to AX 2012 using AIF and consuming the web services through an C# ASP.Net application. I already made it for Customers,Vendors,Workers,Chart of Accounts and now starting General Journals. Some customization I could find a workaround using the AIF Document Service Wizard: Creating the DUNS number using a service for the DirDunsNumber table, later associating the customer with the new created DUNS Number. On the Products data migration will need a lot of customization like this. This month I heard the annoucement that there is this new framework (Data Migration Framework), still in beta version. I would like to know if the Data Migration Framework would cover all of these customizations ? What are the advantages of this new framework over AIF ?

  • ACL suggestions needed for a small light framework developed

    Hello all, I've developed a small framework that was needed for the firm that I work. The problem is I've not made a full level framework, as developers are finding tough time to understand what is what, So I made a simple structure with app/controllers, app/models, app/views so that they can clearly separate the code and can get used to higher frameworks later. All other things like components/modules/helpers are just coded for now in a file called app_functions.php. The above framework is derived from cakePHP, not all, but just the framework uses a modified code of dispatcher of cake. The models all work with normal sqls, and views with pure html using a template engine. Now I'm trying to develop a small application over it, it cameout well, but ACL is something which many versions of it have not proved that satisfactory. Can anybody suggest a good ACL. I've checked phpGACL(too heavy), Zend_ACL likely won't be compatible, Cakephp's ACL which wont fit in the structure,as we are not using cake's SQLs, as there too many queries hitting the database for one page display.

    After installing .Net 4 and getting some questions that were already answered here I also realized how the Framework dlls are repeated in several places for the different Framework versions (this is not new, it happens with previous versions, but hadn't paid attention to it until now) 1 - GAC: %systemroot%\assembly 2- Framework installation directory: %systemroot%\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v... 3- and if you have the Windows SDK installed, also in: C:\Program Files\Microsoft SDKs\Windows\ I think the last ones are the so called "Reference Assemblies" and have extra metadata to aid Visual Studio, but what about location number 2? Why are assemblies repeated there?
