  • jQuery click event on IE7-8, does not execute on the div, only on its text

    - by user3665301
I have a problem using the jQuery click event with IE7-8-9. I apply the event on a div. But on these two IE versions, I have to click on the text contained within the div to make the event work. I don't understand because it was still normally working on these versions until I made a few changes (like adding the font css properties) but when I try to delete these changes it stil does not work as I want; Here is a jsfiddle illustrating the situation and its full screen result. http://jsfiddle.net/rC632/ function clickEvent(){ $('.answerDiv').click(function(){ $( "div:animated" ).stop(); if ( idPreviousClick === $(this)[0].id) { } else { if (idPreviousClick != -1) { $("#"+idPreviousClick).css({height:'100px', width:'100px', top:'0', 'line-height': '100px'}); $("#"+idPreviousClick).parent().css({height:'100px', width:'100px', top:'0'}); } $(this).animate({height:'120px', width:'120px', 'line-height': '120px'}); $(this).parent().animate({height:'120px', width:'120px', top:'-10px'}); idPreviousClick = $(this)[0].id; } }); } $(document).ready(function(){ clickEvent(); }); var idPreviousClick = -1; http://jsfiddle.net/rC632/embedded/result/ Could you have any idea of what is missing ? Thanks

  • Google Radar Chart: Not plotting data

    - by Hallik
Hi. I have different types of data that I have normalized just with base10, so everything is on a 10 point scale. There are two data points, and the legend for them show up fine. All the points around the radar show up fine and so do the labels for them, but I don't see any filled in data. Outside of the labels and axis, the chart is blank. Below is the actual image tag I render, then I split up the variables on each line for easy readability. Anyone mind telling me why it isn't working? <img src="http://chart.apis.google.com/chart?cht=rs&amp;chm=B,3366CC60,0,1.0,5.0|B,CC4D3360,1,1.0,5.0&chs=600x500&chd=t:4.6756775443385,4.7031365524912,1.8646655408171,1.8358167047079,4.2483837215455,4.1367786166752,|5.0319252700625,5.0370797208146,1.8415340693163,1.8591105937857,4.3392150450337,4.1434876641017&chco=3366CC,CC4D33&chls=2.0,4.0,0.0|2.0,4.0,0.0&chxt=x&chxl=0:|Label1|Label2|label3|Label4|Label5|Label6&chxr=0,0.0,10.0&chdl=Data Object 1|Data Object 2&"/> cht=rs& chm=B,3366CC60,0,1.0,5.0|B,CC4D3360,1,1.0,5.0& chs=600x500& chd=t:4.6756775443385,4.7031365524912,1.8646655408171,1.8358167047079,4.2483837215455,4.1367786166752,|5.0319252700625,5.0370797208146,1.8415340693163,1.8591105937857,4.3392150450337,4.1434876641017& chco=3366CC,CC4D33& chls=2.0,4.0,0.0|2.0,4.0,0.0& chxt=x& chxl=0:|Label1|Label2|label3|Label4|Label5|Label6& chxr=0,0.0,10.0& chdl=Data Object 1|Data Object 2& This is the radar chart page, I can't tell what I am doing wrong. http://code.google.com/apis/chart/docs/gallery/radar_charts.html

  • Safari Extension Questions

    - by Rob Wilkerson
I'm in the process of building my first Safari extension--a very simple one--but I've run into a couple of problems. The extension boils down to a single, injected script that attempts to bypass the native feed handler and redirect to an http:// URI. My issues so far are twofold: The "whitelist" isn't working the way I'd expect. Since all feeds are shown under the "feed://" protocol, I've tried to capture that in the whitelist as "feed://*/*" (with nothing in the blacklist), but I end up in a request loop that I can't understand. If I set blacklist values of "http://*/*" and "https://*/*", everything works as expected. I can't figure out how to access my settings from my injected script. The script creates a beforeload event handler, but can't access my settings using the safari.extension.settings path indicated in the documentation. I haven't found anything in Apple's documentation to indicate that settings shouldn't be available from my script. Since extensions are such a new feature, even Google returns limited relevant results and most of those are from the official documentation. What am I missing? Thanks.

  • Problem parsing an atom feed using simplexml_load_file(), can't get an attribute.

    - by Craig Ward
    Hi, I am trying to create a social timeline. I pull in feeds form certain places so I have a timeline of thing I have done. The problem I am having is with Google reader Shared Items. I want to get the time at which I shared the item which is contained in <entry gr:crawl-timestamp-msec="1269088723811"> Trying to get the element using $date = $xml->entry[$i]->link->attributes()->gr:crawl-timestamp-msec; fails because of the : after gr which causes a PHP error. I could figure out how to get the element, so thought I would change the name using the code below but it throws the following error Warning: simplexml_load_file() [function.simplexml-load-file]: I/O warning : failed to load external entity "<?xml version="1.0"?><feed xmlns:idx="urn:atom-extension:indexing" xmlns:media="http://search.yahoo.com/mrss/" xmlns <?php $get_feed = file_get_contents('http://www.google.com/reader/public/atom/user/03120403612393553979/state/com.google/broadcast'); $old = "gr:crawl-timestamp-msec"; $new = "timestamp"; $xml_file = str_replace($old, $new, $get_feed); $xml = simplexml_load_file($xml_file); $i = 0; foreach ($xml->entry as $value) { $id = $xml->entry[$i]->id; $date = date('Y-m-d H:i:s', strtotime($xml->entry[$i]->attributes()->timestamp )); $text = $xml->entry[$i]->title; $link = $xml->entry[$i]->link->attributes()->href; $source = "googleshared"; echo "date = $date<br />"; $sql="INSERT IGNORE INTO timeline (id,date,text,link, source) VALUES ('$id', '$date', '$text', '$link', '$source')"; mysql_query($sql); $i++; }` Could someone point me in the right direction please. Cheers Craig

  • Find the flaws in the concept...

    - by Trindaz
A web based web browser. Sounds silly right? Here's a use case. All comments about what could go wrong, and if anyone has tried and failed at this, very much wanted User goes to www.theBrowser.com and logs in with credentials specific to theBrowser.com. User tells theBrowser what their username and password for various sites are User goes to theBrowser.com/?uri=somesite.com theBrowser sends off the http request with User's log in details, then sends the http response back to User. This lets theBrowser do weird and wonderful functions like change colours / style sheets / etc. to every site that gets passed through it. From a technical stand point, storing username and password and passing them along is not a challenge for one user, but if there were a few, I'd have to use some kind of server based browser software to store a session per user logged in at theBrowser.com. How could I do that? Will I have to start from scratch? Obviously privacy and security are issues. Would theBrowser.com be too great a risk, even if users are fully warned? Cheers, Dave

  • jQuery problem with change event and IE8

    - by Marcus
There is a bug in jQuery 1.4.2 that makes change event on select-element getting fired twice when using both DOM-event and a jQuery event, and this only on IE7/8. Here is the test code: <html> <head> <script src="http://code.jquery.com/jquery-1.4.2.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> jQuery(document).ready(function() { jQuery(".myDropDown").change(function() { }); }); </script> </head> <body> <select class="myDropDown" onchange="alert('hello');"> <option>1</option> <option>2</option> <option>3</option> <option>4</option> </select> </body> </html> Ticket to actual bug: http://dev.jquery.com/ticket/6593 This causes alot of trouble for us in our application cause we use both ASP.NET-events mixed with jQuery and once you hook up a change event on any element every select (dropdown) gets this double firing problem. Is there anyone who knows a way around this in the meantime until this issue is fixed?

  • Circle drawing with SVG's arc path

    - by ????
The following SVG path can draw 99.99% of a circle: (try it on http://jsfiddle.net/DFhUF/46/ and see if you see 4 arcs or only 2, but note that if it is IE, it is rendered in VML, not SVG, but have the similar issue) M 100 100 a 50 50 0 1 0 0.00001 0 But when it is 99.99999999% of a circle, then nothing will show at all? M 100 800 a 50 50 0 1 0 0.00000001 0 And that's the same with 100% of a circle (it is still an arc, isn't it, just a very complete arc) M 100 800 a 50 50 0 1 0 0 0 How can that be fixed? The reason is I use a function to draw a percentage of an arc, and if I need to "special case" a 99.9999% or 100% arc to use the circle function, that'd be kind of silly. Again, a test case on jsfiddle using RaphaelJS is at http://jsfiddle.net/DFhUF/46/ (and if it is VML on IE 8, even the second circle won't show... you have to change it to 0.01) Update: This is because I am rendering an arc for a score in our system, so 3.3 points get 1/3 of a circle. 0.5 gets half a circle, and 9.9 points get 99% of a circle. But what if there are scores that are 9.99 in our system? Do I have to check whether it is close to 99.999% of a circle, and use an arc function or a circle function accordingly? Then what about a score of 9.9987? Which one to use? It is ridiculous to need to know what kind of scores will map to a "too complete circle" and switch to a circle function, and when it is "a certain 99.9%" of a circle or a 9.9987 score, then use the arc function.

  • Sum of XML duration elements in SQL2008

    - by Matt
I have a XML column that holds information about my games. Here's a sample of the information looks like. <game xmlns="http://my.name.space" > <move> <player>PlayerA</player> <start movetype="Move">EE5</start> <end movetype="Move">DF6</end> <movetime>PT1S</movetime> </move> <move> <player>PlayerB</player> <start movetype="Move">CG7</start> <end movetype="Move">DE6</end> <movetime>PT3S</movetime> </move> <move> <player>PlayerA</player> <start movetype="Move">FD3</start> <end movetype="Move">EG8</end> <movetime>PT4S</movetime> </move> </game> I'm trying to design an XML query to take the sum of my movetime element. Basically I need the sum of each players move time. So using the above sample, PlayerA would have a total move time of 5 seconds and PlayerB would have a total move time of 3 seconds. Here's the XML query that I've been currently been working with SELECT GameHistory.query('declare default element namespace "http://my.name.space"; data(/game/move/movetime)') AS Value FROM GamesWHERE Id=560 I'm a newbie to XSLT / XPATH functions :P

  • osCommerce custom PHP page

    - by Afrosimon
Hello! One of my client has an old osCommerce website and while working on it I have to implement what I would call "custom php page", i.e. a page which query a MySQL table, not related to osCommerce, and list the result. I'm not sure of the version, this trick I have seen a lot didn't gave me any result : http://www.clubosc.com/how-to-know-what-version-of-oscommerce-you-are-using.html . And I'm having a hard time doing this seemingly simple task, since osCommerce doesn't allow any php code in the page creation, and I didn't find any module giving me this possibility (not that it is easy to search in this mess : http://addons.oscommerce.com/). At this point I figured it would be easier to just hack'n slash through the code and come up with a custom page : I copied the index.php (the entry point in the application) : <?php require('includes/application_top.php'); if(!$smarty->is_cached($sContentPage, $sCachingGroup)) { //we switch on the content recognition require('includes/pages/' . $sContentClass . '.php'); } $smarty->display($sContentPage, $sCachingGroup); require(DIR_WS_INCLUDES . 'application_bottom.php'); ?> Here I gave a specific value to $sContentClass (with or without the if makes no difference) and customize the corresponding PHP file so it show my custom content but also initialize the same variable than those other PHP file in the pages/ folder. But alas, all of this curious and dubious code simply return me the home page. So here I am, is there an osCommerce Guru around here, or would anyone has a better idea (oh and I also posted on the osCommerce forum, but I'm still waiting for a response...)? Thanks a lot in advance.

  • Getting message in android app: Binary XML file line #2: You must supply a layout_width attribute.

    - by opike
I'm trying to use a ListView inside of a RelativeLayout but when I run my app I get a runtimeexception with the message: Binary XML file line #2: You must supply a layout_width attribute. • WCF - remote service without using IIS - base address?

    - by Mark Pim
I'm trying to get my head around the addressing of WCF services. We have a client-server setup where the server occasionally (maybe once a day) needs to push data to each client. I want to have a lightweight WCF listener service on each client hosted in an NT service to receive that data. We already have such an NT service setup hosting some local WCF services for other tasks so the overhead of this is minimal. Because of existing legacy code on the server I believe the service needs to be exposed as ASMX and use basicHttpBinding to allow it to connect. Each client is registered on the server by the user (they need to configure them individually) so discovery is not the issue. My question is, how does the addressing work? I imagine the user entering the client's address on the server in the form http://0.0.0.0/MyService or even http://hostname/MyService If so, how do I configure the client service in its App.config? Do I use localhost? If not then what is the reccommended way of exposing the service to the server? Note: I don't want to host in IIS as that adds extra requirements to the hardware required for the client. The clients will be almost certainly located on LANs, not over the public internet

  • What do I need for development for an ARM processor?

    - by claws
Hello, I'm familiar with X86[-64] architecture & assembly. I want to start develop for an ARM processor. But unlike desktop processors, I don't have an actual ARM processor. I think I need an ARM simulator. http://www.armtutorial.com/ say An ARM assembly compiler will be required, the most accessible is the ARMulator. I thought of downloading Armulator but found from http://forums.arm.com/index.php?showtopic=13744 that Its not sold seperately. But you can download an eval of RVDS - which includes RVISS/ARMulator I've downloaded & installed RVDS but It looks very complex. I'm unable to figure out what do I need to do to write ARM assembly & run it. I want to write in assembly not in C/C++. I don't have an ARM processor. What is a good simulator? Can any one please mention in short. How to write assembly & assemble & simulate using RVDS. Please be clear? Are there any other alternative ways. I can't afford buying any kind of boards. I always learn from books rather than tutorials. I'm following these two books: ARM System Developer's Guide: Designing and Optimizing System Software (The Morgan Kaufmann Series in Computer Architecture and Design) ARM System-on-Chip Architecture (2nd Edition) Do you have any better suggestions?

  • Why do I get Detached Entity exception when upgrading Spring Boot 1.1.4 to 1.1.5

    - by mmeany
On updating Spring Boot from 1.1.4 to 1.1.5 a simple web application started generating detached entity exceptions. Specifically, a post authentication inteceptor that bumped number of visits was causing the problem. A quick check of loaded dependencies showed that Spring Data has been updated from 1.6.1 to 1.6.2 and a further check of the change log shows a couple of issues relating to optimistic locking, version fields and JPA issues that have been fixed. Well I am using a version field and it starts out as Null following recommendation to not set in the specification. I have produced a very simple test scenario where I get detached entity exceptions if the version field starts as null or zero. If I create an entity with version 1 however then I do not get these exceptions. Is this expected behaviour or is there still something amiss? Below is the test scenario I have for this condition. In the scenario the service layer that has been annotated @Transactional. Each test case makes multiple calls to the service layer - the tests are working with detached entities as this is the scenario I am working with in the full blown application. The test case comprises four tests: Test 1 - versionNullCausesAnExceptionOnUpdate() In this test the version field in the detached object is Null. This is how I would usually create the object prior to passing to the service. This test fails with a Detached Entity exception. I would have expected this test to pass. If there is a flaw in the test then the rest of the scenario is probably moot. Test 2 - versionZeroCausesExceptionOnUpdate() In this test I have set the version to value Long(0L). This is an edge case test and included because I found reference to Zero values being used for version field in the Spring Data change log. This test fails with a Detached Entity exception. Of interest simply because the following two tests pass leaving this as an anomaly. Test 3 - versionOneDoesNotCausesExceptionOnUpdate() In this test the version field is set to value Long(1L). Not something I would usually do, but considering the notes in the Spring Data change log I decided to give it a go. This test passes. Would not usually set the version field, but this looks like a work-around until I figure out why the first test is failing. Test 4 - versionOneDoesNotCausesExceptionWithMultipleUpdates() Encouraged by the result of test 3 I pushed the scenario a step further and perform multiple updates on the entity that started life with a version of Long(1L). This test passes. Reinforcement that this may be a useable work-around. • Follow tab's url in jquery ui tabs

    - by Aakash Chakravarthy
Hello, I have jquery tabs like <ul id="tabsList"> <li><a href="#tab-1">Name 1</a></li> <li><a href="#tab-2">Name 2</a></li> <li><a href="http://www.google.com/">Name 3</a></li> </ul> <div id="tab-1">content 1</div> <div id="tab-2">content 2</div> the first two tabs load the respective divs. But the third one should go to google.com, instead it does nothing. It just adds http://example.com/index.html#ui-tabs-[object Object] to the url. I am developing a wordpress plugin and the admin page needs a tab interface. I tested this in a local server and not working update: i don't want to load google.com inside the page. It should open the webpage in new tab/window like ordinary links do.

  • Trying to compile x264 and ffmpeg for iPhone - "missing required architecture arm in file"

    - by jtrim
I'm trying to compile x264 for use in an iPhone application. I see there are instructions on how to compile ffmpeg for use on the platform here: http://lists.mplayerhq.hu/pipermail/ffmpeg-devel/2009-October/076618.html , but I can't seem to find anything this complete for compiling x264 on the iPhone. I've found this source tree: http://gitorious.org/x264-arm that seems to have support for the ARM platform. Here is my config line: ./configure --cross-prefix=/usr/bin/ --host=arm-apple-darwin10 --extra-cflags="-B /Developer/Platforms/iPhoneOS.platform/Developer/SDKs/iPhoneOS3.2.sdk/usr/lib/ -I /Developer/Platforms/iPhoneOS.platform/Developer/SDKs/iPhoneOS3.2.sdk/usr/lib/" ...and inside configure I'm using the gas-preprocessor script (first link above) as my assembler: gas-preprocessor.pl gcc When I start compiling, it chunks away for a little while, then it spits out these warnings and a huge list of undefined symbols: ld: warning: option -s is obsolete and being ignored ld: warning: -force_cpusubtype_ALL will become unsupported for ARM architectures ld: warning: in /usr/lib/crt1.o, missing required architecture arm in file ld: warning: in /usr/X11R6/lib/libX11.dylib, missing required architecture arm in file ld: warning: in /usr/lib/libm.dylib, missing required architecture arm in file ld: warning: in /usr/lib/libpthread.dylib, missing required architecture arm in file ld: warning: in /usr/lib/libgcc_s.1.dylib, missing required architecture arm in file ld: warning: in /usr/lib/libSystem.dylib, missing required architecture arm in file Undefined symbols: My guess would be that the problem has to do with the "missing required architecture arm in file" warning...any ideas?

  • Adding custom valiadtion to ASP.NET controls

    - by Brian
We're trying to build a simple asp control for some clients where they can just drop in a single block - i.e. <captcha:CaptchaControl ID="CaptchaControl1" runat="server" Server="http://localhost:51947/" /> and have it render the control. The catch is that I can't get this to include custom validation. Right now I'm using the RenderContents function to display the layout of the control itself as well as hook it up the to Javascript. The problem is that I don't know how to get custom validation to fire when used as part of a control. protected override void RenderContents(HtmlTextWriter output) { output.Write(@" <script type=""text/javascript"" src=""http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.3/jquery.min.js""></script> <link rel=""stylesheet"" type=""text/css"" href=""/Layout/CaptchaLayout.css"" /> //etc <asp:Textbox id=""text1"" runat=""server"" text=""""></asp:Textbox> <asp:CustomValidator id=""CustomValidator2"" runat=""server"" ControlToValidate = ""text1"" ErrorMessage = ""You must enter at least 8 characters!"" ClientValidationFunction=""validateLength"" > </asp:CustomValidator>" ); } Any suggestions for a better way to do this?

  • Newbie question: How do you layout an icon, 2 text lines and a button?

    - by Keith Barrows
I am trying to extend a sample I found at http://developer.android.com/resources/articles/layout-tricks-efficiency.html. I am a brand new MonoDroid developer, just installed it yesterday, and trying to jump right into UI design and so far it is not clicking for me completely. I have this main.xml: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <RelativeLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="?android:attr/listPreferredItemHeight" android:padding="6dip"> <ImageView android:id="@+id/icon" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:layout_alignParentTop="true" android:layout_alignParentBottom="true" android:layout_marginRight="6dip" android:src="@drawable/icon" /> <TextView android:id="@+id/secondLine" android:layout_width="200dip" android:layout_height="26dip" android:layout_toRightOf="@id/icon" android:layout_alignParentBottom="true" android:layout_alignParentRight="true" android:singleLine="true" android:ellipsize="marquee" android:text="Second line which is a long line of text and needs to scroll" /> <TextView android:id="@+id/firstLine" android:layout_width="200dip" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_toRightOf="@id/icon" android:layout_alignParentRight="true" android:layout_alignParentTop="true" android:layout_above="@id/secondLine" android:layout_alignWithParentIfMissing="true" android:singleLine="true" android:ellipsize="marquee" android:gravity="center_vertical" android:text="First line" /> <Button android:id="@+id/logonButton" android:layout_width="50dip" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_toRightOf="@id/secondLine" android:layout_alignParentRight="true" android:layout_alignParentTop="true" android:gravity="center_vertical" android:text="Login" /> /> </RelativeLayout> What I am trying to do is have an icon on the left, 2 lines of text stacked in the middle and a button on the right. When I run this in my emulator I am seeing: The second line is not scrolling. The button does not show up. Is there by any chance a simple WYSIWYG editor for layout? Or is there an app to give me a quick view of my layout XML? Something like FireBug in FireFox would be fine. Barring the slim chance there are UI helpers for Droid, what am I doing wrong? :)
