• CentOS Client - Unable to Establish iSCSI connection with multiple interfaces on the initiator

  So after upgrading to CentOS 6.2, I am seemingly no longer able to login into my iSCSI targets. I have multiple interfaces on different subnets on the system, and I first thought that it had to do with the fact that I may not be binding correct interfaces, which seems to be the case when looking at netstat, as this is clearly wrong: [root]? netstat -na|grep .90 tcp 0 1 10.10.100.60:42354 10.10.8.90:3260 SYN_SENT tcp 0 1 10.10.100.60:40777 10.10.9.90:3260 SYN_SENT I then went ahead and disabled all but one interface, and so as a result netstat appears to be correct, but the issue with login remains. I am positive that the target never sees a packet, because I see nothing by SYN_SENT. I know the problem is on my client, because the target is servicing multiple systems, none of which are CentOS 6.2. At this point I am pretty confident that some things changed between CentOS 6.0/6.1 and 6.2. So, if anyone have any thoughts, or ran into this, I would very much like to hear your thoughts. I went a few weeks back and grabbed a snapshot of this system from before upgrading to 6.2. I spun up a new system from the snapshot, and reconfigured interface info and host keys, as well as iSCSI initiator and iscsi interface info to match new MACs. Changed nothing else. Then, I attempted to connect to my targets, and no issues at all. I cannot say that this was unexpected. I then went ahead and compared sysctl settings from both systems and there were differences after the upgrade, but nothing seemingly relevant to iSCSI or IP that could contribute to this. I also noticed that by default now two sessions per connection were enabled after the upgrade, but I changed it back to 1 session in /etc/iscsi/iscsid.conf. On the problematic system we can see that source interface is seemingly wrong, but even when I disable the 10.10.100 interface, problems persist. So, while this may be relevant, I could not validate it for certain. Needless to say, further research is necessary. Something is clearly different between releases. It is quite obscure and I doubt this will happen to anyone else any time soon. It turns out that setting iface.iscsi_ifacename and iface.hwaddress in the interfaces configuration file is not legal. When one manually adds an iscsi target, such as below, all settings from the interface config file are copied into the node config file, that gets created by the below command. Result is parameters iface.iscsi_ifacename and iface.hwaddress together in the same config file. These parameters are seemingly mutually exclusive, which does not exactly make sense, or there is perhaps an oversight in the codepath.   Just now , I try to install the Jungo WinDriver in the Ubuntu 13.10 . But I am puzzled by the its manual : 4.2.3. Linux WinDriver Installation Instructions 4.2.3.1.   I'm unsuccessfully trying to get Wake on Lan to work with my local server (IP Address : 192.168.0.2, distro Ubuntu 12.04.3 LTS) which has a Realtek RTL8101E/RTL8102E ethernet card. The computer sending the WOL is a Macbook Pro which is connected on the same network. Yet the server fails to start.   I create class with two property - name,link(below). I use simple property validation by Required and StringLength attribute. I bind this class object to WPF ListBox(with textBoxs). But when I have textbox empty or write words longer than 8 sign nothing happens :/ What should I do to fires ErrorMessage? Or how to implement validation in other way ?   I worked a lot with Hibernate as my JPA implementation. In most cases it works fine! But I have also seen a lot of pitfalls: Remoting with persisted Objects is difficult, because Hibernate replaces the Java collections with its own collection implementation. So the every client must have the Hibernate .jar libraries. You have to take care on LazyLoading exceptions etc. One way to get around this problem is the use of webservices. Dirty checking is done against the Database without any lock. "Delayed SQL", causes that the data access isn't ACID compliant. (Lost data...) Implict Updates So we don't know if an object is modified or not (commit causes updates). Are there similar issues with Toplink, Eclipse Link and Ibatis? When should I use them? Have they a similar performance? Are there reasons to choose Eclipse Link/Toplink... over Hibernate?

  I'm getting this warning msg. in Google webmaster tools Incorrect rel-alternate-hreflang implementation In particular, there seems to be a problem with missing or incorrect bi-directional linking (when page A links with hreflang to page B, there must be a link back from B to A as well). This msg. seems pretty straight forward, but when checking their example pages, I'm not finding anything wrong. I'm using alternate for translation of main site menu, titles, etc.. In each page I have this: <link rel="alternate" hreflang="en" href="http://mydomain.com/page" /> <link rel="alternate" hreflang="jp" href="http://ja.mydomain.com/page" /> <link rel="alternate" hreflang="ko" href="http://ko.mydomain.com/page" /> <link rel="alternate" hreflang="th" href="http://th.mydomain.com/page" /> <link rel="alternate" hreflang="es" href="http://es.mydomain.com/page" /> <link rel="alternate" hreflang="pt" href="http://pt.mydomain.com/page" /> I've double checked this exists in all the 6 pages. This is the first time I've seen this msg although I've implemented this at least 6 months ago, and implementation hasn't changed. Is there any way to check a specific set of pages for these things? Am I missing something in my implementation? We're auto-redirecting people from a location to their specific language, and give them an option to manually change this. I've also just found out about the suggestion for Vary HTTP header - is that relevant and important here?

• How do I edit an XML file with Perl?

  I have a movie collection catalogue with local links to folders and files for an easy access. Recently I reorganaized my entire hard disk space and I need to update the links and I'm trying to do that automatically with Perl. I can export the data in a XML file and import it again. I can extract the new filepaths with the use of File::Find but I'm stuck with two problems. I have no idea how to connect the $title from the new filepath with the corresponding $title from the XML file. I'm dealing with such files for the first time and I don't know how to proceed with the replacement process. • Linking to an item in another node (XSLT)

  I have an XML document with companies listed in it. I want to create a link with XSLT that contains the <link> child of the next node. Sorry if this is confusing..here is some sample XML of what i'm trying to obtain: <portfolio> <company> <name>Dano Industries</name> <link>dano.xml</link> </company> <company> <name>Mike and Co.</name> <link>mike.xml</link> </company> <company> <name>Steve Inc.</name> <link>steve.xml</link> </company> </portfolio> I want two links, "BACK" and "NEXT". While currently on mike.xml, I want BACK to link to "dano.xml" and NEXT linked to "steve.xml"...etc..and have it dynamically change when on a different page based on the nodes around it. I want to do this because I may add and change the list as I go along, so I don't want to have to manually re-link everything. How can I obtain this? Sorry I am new to XSLT, so please explain with solution if possible! Thanks in advance!

• Square Brackets in Python Regular Expressions (re.sub)

  I'm migrating wiki pages from the FlexWiki engine to the FOSwiki engine using Python regular expressions to handle the differences between the two engines' markup languages. The FlexWiki markup and the FOSwiki markup, for reference. Most of the conversion works very well, except when I try to convert the renamed links. Both wikis support renamed links in their markup. For example, Flexwiki uses: "Link To Wikipedia":[http://www.wikipedia.org/] FOSwiki uses: [[http://www.wikipedia.org/][Link To Wikipedia]] both of which produce something that looks like I'm using the regular expression renameLink = re.compile ("\"(?P<linkName>[^\"]+)\":\[(?P<linkTarget>[^\[\]]+)\]") to parse out the link elements from the FlexWiki markup, which after running through something like "Link Name":[LinkTarget] is reliably producing groups <linkName> = Link Name <linkTarget = LinkTarget My issue occurs when I try to use re.sub to insert the parsed content into the FOSwiki markup. My experience with regular expressions isn't anything to write home about, but I'm under the impression that, given the groups <linkName> = Link Name <linkTarget = LinkTarget a line like line = renameLink.sub ( "[[\g<linkTarget>][\g<linkName>]]" , line ) should produce [[LinkTarget][Link Name]] However, in the output to the text files I'm getting [[LinkTarget [[Link Name]] which breaks the renamed links. After a little bit of fiddling I managed a workaround, where line = renameLink.sub ( "[[\g<linkTarget>][ [\g<linkName>]]" , line ) produces [[LinkTarget][ [[Link Name]] which, when displayed in FOSwiki looks like <[[Link Name> <--- Which WORKS, but isn't very pretty. I've also tried line = renameLink.sub ( "[[\g<linkTarget>]" + "[\g<linkName>]]" , line ) which is producing [[linkTarget [[linkName]] There are probably thousands of instances of these renamed links in the pages I'm trying to convert, so fixing it by hand isn't any good. For the record I've run the script under Python 2.5.4 and Python 2.7.3, and gotten the same results. Am I missing something really obvious with the syntax? Or is there an easy workaround?

• Jquery dialog box - doesn't fade out before closing

  I have div(box) on my page and I'm using this script to display div as dialog box. Inside that div I have a hyper link, On click of the hyper link I want to fade out the dialog box and close.. The content of the dialog fades out, but the border of the dialog box remains same. If I add $("#box").dialog('close') to the click function after fadeto there is no effect.. it just closes the dialog box completely. • How do I post a link to the feed of a page via the Facebook Graph API *as* the page?

  I'm working on a plugin for a Wordpress blog that posts a link to every article published to a Facebook Page associated with the blog. I'm using the Graph API and I have authenticated myself, for the time being, via OAuth. I can successfully post a message to the page using curl via a POST request to https://graph.facebook.com/mypageid/feed with e.g. message = "This is a test" and it published the message. The problem is that the message is "from" my user account. I'm an admin on this test page, and when I go to Facebook and post an update from the web, the link comes "from" my page. That's how I'd like this to be set up, because it looks silly if all the shared links are coming from a user account. Is there a way to authenticate myself as a page? Or is there an alternate way to POST to a page feed that doesn't end up being interpreted as a comment from a user? Thanks for any thoughts or suggestions.

  Greetings, I am getting a very weird and unpredictable result in firefox when using the following syntax: $this->Html->link($this->Html->div('p-cpt',$project['Project']['name']) . $this->Html->div('p-img',$this->Html->image('/img/projects/'.$project['Project']['slug'].'/project.thumb.jpg', array('alt'=>$project['Project']['name'],'width'=>100,'height'=>380))),array('controller' => 'projects', 'action' => 'view', $project['Project']['slug']),array('title' => $project['Project']['name'], 'escape' => false),false); OK I know it is big but bear with me. The point is to get the following output: <a href="x" title="x"> <div class="p-ctp">Name</div> <div class="p-img"><img src="z width="y" height="a" alt="d" /></div> </a> I'm not sure if this validates correctly both on cakephp and html but it works everywhere else apart from firefox.   I'm looking for a set of simple rules and redirects for my site. I've tried so many combinations that I'm starting to get confused. I'm not sure how to set this up. Generally, without mod-rewrite, I would use relative paths to link to files: <a href="link.php">Link</a> if it's in the same directory. Now I'd like to use this: <a href="link">Link</a> And so if you go to this page: localhost/mysite/link it will take you to the correct place, which would be: localhost/mysite/link.php But also, many directory levels deep I would like it to work as well: localhost/mysite/group/link2 would go to: localhost/mysite/group/link2.php and: localhost/mysite/group/section/link3 would go to: localhost/mysite/group/section/link3.php But then in all these cases, if someone were to type in this: localhost/mysite/group/section/link3.php in the URL bar, it would show this: localhost/mysite/group/section/link3 Thanks

  What's the best way to link formal specs to JIRA enhancement requests? I want to track changes to specifications using JIRA. Ideally, I'd like to refer to a functional ID reference in a JIRA ticket (e.g. MYAPPAPPROVAL LOGICMAIN SCREEN), so that program managers can retrospectively categorise defects. The reason for this, is so that QA scripts and documentation tickets can be searched/categorised meaningfully in the tracking system. There seems to be a million possible ways to do this, e.g. should I write a custom component to select functional IDs from a tree? should I write the specs in confluence, or another CMS with a TrackBack facility? should I include a link to the documentation URL? should I use some other 3rd party plugin application? should I use some Atlassian application that i'm unaware of? am I using the wrong tracking tool/process to measure spec growth? What's the best way, in your experience?

Do do so, I need to set this attribute to nil. In the first one, I have to add a new action for something that the update controller already can do. In the second one, I cannot set the facebook_uid to nil without customizing the update action, and I cannot have a link instead of a button without adding some javascript. Still, what would you recommend as the best and most elegant solution for this context? Did I miss a third alternative?

• how to link with static mySQL C library with Visual Studio 2008?

  Hi, My project is running fine, but its requirement for some DLLs means it cannot be simply dragged and dropped by the end user. The DLLs are not loaded when put side by side with my executable, because my executable is not an application, and its location is not in the few locations where Windows looks for DLL. I already asked a question about how to make their loading happen. None of the suggestions worked (see the question at http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2637499/how-can-a-win32-app-plugin-load-its-dll-in-its-own-directory) So I am now exploring another way: get rid of the DLLs altogether, and link with static versions of them. This is failing for the last of those DLLs. So I am at this point where all but one of the libraries are statically linked, and everything is fine. The last library is the standard C library for mySQL, aka Connector/C. The problem I have may or may not be related with that origin. Whenever I switched to the static library in the linker additional dependency, I get the following errors (log at the end): 1- about 40 duplicate symbols (e.g. _toupper) mutually between LIBCMT.lib and MSVCRT.lib. Interestingly, I can't control the inclusion of these two libraries: they are from Visual Studio and automatically included. So why are these symbol duplicate when I include mySQL's static lib, but not its DLL? Its a plugin for a host application that I don't control. The port currently works, albeit with installation issues due to that lone remaining DLL. As a Mac programmer I am rather disoriented with Visual Studio and Windows which I find confusing, poorly designed and documented, with error messages that are very difficult to grasp and act upon. So I will be very grateful for any help.
