  • Download Spring 2.5 sample applications

    - by Don
    Hi, I've seen various references to a couple of Spring MVC 2.5 example applications, named 'petclinic' and 'jpetstore'. I can't seem to find where to download these examples. Can anyone can provide a link to download them (ideally also with instructions for setup/deploying)? Thanks, Don

  • Tile Engine: Entity location wrong

    - by Trizicus
    I've made a tile engine that has 30px by 30px. I've ran into a problem with an object for example. I've loaded an object 20px by 20px and when I do a collision check I have to use x/y position which is top left in Java2D. How can I do collision detection based on the entire object? This is relevant code: boolean checkCol() { int currentGridX = ship.getX()/30; int currentGridY = ship.getY()/30; if(test[currentGridX][currentGridY] == 0) return true; System.out.println("collision"); return false; }

  • OnClickListener onClick=true and selector

    - by azerto00
    I have not found any answer for my problem, so I need your help ... I have an LinearLayout which I want to be clickable in order to lunch another activity. So I implement an onClickListener to it. I created an selector for this LinearLayout in order that what someone click on it, the background change. I just don't understand that : If my LinearLayout doesn't have android:clickable="true" in the xml, I'm able to click on it and get what I want but the selector doesn't work. If I remove this line, it is the opposite .. the selector work but not the onClick event. So, can anyone can explain me why ? Just in case, here is my the content of my selector file : <selector xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"> <item android:drawable="@drawable/btn_restaurants_background_state_pressed" android:state_pressed="true"></item> <item android:drawable="@drawable/btn_restaurants_background_state_pressed" android:state_focused="true"></item> <item android:drawable="@drawable/btn_restaurants_background_state_pressed" android:state_selected="true"></item> <item android:drawable="@drawable/btn_restaurants_background_state_normal"></item> </selector> Thanks you in advance

    - by braveterry

[Y, n] </input> <condition property="copy.file"> <or> <equals arg1="Y" arg2="${choice}"/> <equals arg1="y" arg2="${choice}"/> </or> </condition> </target> In another target, I'd like to conditionally copy a file depending on whether or not the copy.file property is set.   • JPQL: What kind of objects contains a result list when querying multiple columns?

    - by Bunkerbewohner
    Hello! I'm trying to do something which is easy as pie in PHP & Co: SELECT COUNT(x) as numItems, AVG(y) as average, ... FROM Z In PHP I would get a simple array like [{ numItems: 0, average: 0 }] which I could use like this: echo "Number of Items: " . $result[0]['numItems']; Usually in JPQL you only query single objects or single columns and get Lists types, for example List or List. But what do you get, when querying multiple columns?

  • How can I fade in a JPanel & children?

    - by Christian 'fuzi' Orgler
    I know that I can fade in a panel, by adding the alpha value to the background color & a timer. But how can I fade in a panel with child components (like a JLabel)? EDIT _fadeTimer = new Timer(40, new ActionListener() { @Override public void actionPerformed(ActionEvent e) { if (_alpha == 255) { _fadeTimer.stop(); } else { pnl_hint.setBackground(new Color( bgColor.getRed(), bgColor.getGreen(), bgColor.getBlue(), (_alpha += 1))); pnl_hint.updateUI(); } } }); _fadeTimer.start();

  • JSF, writeAttribute("value", str, null) fails with strings obtained through ValueExpression.getValue

    - by Roma
    Hello, I'm having a somewhat weird problem with custom JSF component. Here's my renderer code: public class Test extends Renderer { public void encodeBegin(final FacesContext context, final UIComponent component) throws IOException { ResponseWriter writer = context.getResponseWriter(); writer.startElement("textarea", component); String clientId = component.getClientId(context); if (clientId != null) writer.writeAttribute("name", clientId, null); ValueExpression exp = component.getValueExpression("value"); if (exp != null && exp.getValue(context.getELContext()) != null) { String val = (String) exp.getValue(context.getELContext()); System.out.println("Value: " + val); writer.writeAttribute("value", val, null); } writer.endElement("textarea"); writer.flush(); } } The code generates: <textarea name="j_id2:j_id12:j_id19" value=""></textarea> Property binding contains "test" and as it should be, "Value: test" is successfully printed to console. Now, if I change the code to: public void encodeBegin(final FacesContext context, final UIComponent component) throws IOException { ResponseWriter writer = context.getResponseWriter(); writer.startElement("textarea", component); String clientId = component.getClientId(context); if (clientId != null) writer.writeAttribute("name", clientId, null); ValueExpression exp = component.getValueExpression("value"); if (exp != null && exp.getValue(context.getELContext()) != null) { String val = (String) exp.getValue(context.getELContext()); String str = "new string"; System.out.println("Value1: " + val + ", Value2: " + str); writer.writeAttribute("value", str, null); } writer.endElement("textarea"); writer.flush(); } generated html is: <textarea name="j_id2:j_id12:j_id19" value="new string"></textarea> and console output is "Value1: test, Value2: new string" What's going on here? This doesn't make sense. Why would writeAttribute differentiate between the two strings? Additional info: The component extends UIComponentBase I am using it with facelets

  • Is there a faster method then StringBuilder for a max 9-10 step string concatenation?

    - by Pentium10
    I have this code to concate some array elements: StringBuilder sb = new StringBuilder(); private RatedMessage joinMessage(int step, boolean isresult) { sb.delete(0, sb.length()); for (int i = 0; i <= step; i++) { if (mStack[i] == null) continue; rm = mStack[i].getCurrentMsg(); if (rm == null || rm.msg.length() == 0) continue; if (sb.length() != 0) { sb.append(", "); } sb.append(rm.msg); } return sb.toString(); } Important the array holds max 10 items, so it's not quite much. My trace output tells me this method is called 18864 times, 16% of the runtime was spent in this method. Can I optimize more?

  • How to prevent the other threads from accessing a method when one thread is accessing a method?

    - by geeta
    I want to search for a string in 10 files and write the matching lines to a single file. I wrote the matching lines from each file to 10 output files(o/p file1,o/p file2...) and then copied those to a single file using 10 threads. But the output single file has mixed output(one line from o/p file1,another line from o/p file 2 etc...) because its accessed simultaneously by many threads. If I wait for all threads to complete and then write the single file it will be much slower. I want the output file to be written by one thread at a time. What should i do? My source code:(only writing to single file method) public void WriteSingle(File output_file,File final_output) throws IOException { synchronized(output_file){ System.out.println("Writing Single file"); FileOutputStream fo = new FileOutputStream(final_output,true); FileChannel fi = fo.getChannel(); FileInputStream fs = new FileInputStream(output_file); FileChannel fc = fs.getChannel(); int maxCount = (64 * 1024 * 1024) - (32 * 1024); long size = fc.size(); long position = 0; while (position < size) { position += fc.transferTo(position, maxCount, fi); } } }

  • deploying project to tomcat ROOT

    - by stsd
    I have deployed my project to tomcat root, and it works fine without any problem. To acheive this I created a ROOT file TOMCAT_HOME/conf/Catalina/localhost/ROOT.xml with content below: <Context docBase="/home/user/project.war" path="" reloadable="true" /> So right now I can see my project under localhost:8080/ without any problem.. but I don't know where my project has been extracted, there is even no ROOT directory under TOMCAT_HOME/webapps, any idea?

  • How do I pass an array to a method?

    - by ambidextorous
    Hey, I have not been able to find a proper answer on any forums about this. But how exactly do I pass an array to a class constructor? public class TestArray { String name; String[] array; public TestArray(String name, String[] anArray){ this.name = name; int len = anArray.length; this.array = new String[len]; for (int i = 0; i < len; i++) { this.array[i] = new String(anArray[i]); } } public static void main(String[] args){ String[] anArray = new String[2]; anArray[0] = new String("Test"); anArray[1] = new String("Test2"); TestArray work = new TestArray("Jordan", anArray); // How to pass the array? } }

  • Dynamically generating high performance functions in clojure

    - by mikera
    I'm trying to use Clojure to dynamically generate functions that can be applied to large volumes of data - i.e. a requirement is that the functions be compiled to bytecode in order to execute fast, but their specification is not known until run time. e.g. suppose I specify functions with a simple DSL like: (def my-spec [:add [:multiply 2 :param0] 3]) I would like to create a function compile-spec such that: (compile-spec my-spec) Would return a compiled function of one parameter x that returns 2x+3. What is the best way to do this in Clojure?

  • Is there a way to filter out offensive words from Jcaptcha?

    - by elduff
    We are using JCaptcha for a captcha tool in a small app that my team is writing. However, just during development time (on a small team - 4 of us), we've run across a number of curse words and other potentially offensive words for the actual captchas. Is there a way to filter out potentially offensive words so that they are not presented to the user?

  • Text input for multi-valued attribute

    - by Sean
    I need to create an input form that will allow a user to enter any number of values for a particular attribute. I've tried several approaches, all of which seem to have various levels of failure. The latest model bean looks something like: public class Product { private String name; private String[] tags; ...accessors... } The input fields look something like: <h:inputText id="name" value="#{product.name}"></h:inputText> <h:inputText id="tag0" value="#{product.tag[0]}"></h:inputText> My plan was to allow the user is to use javascript to add additional form fields as needed. This type of setup gives me a 'Target Unreachable' error. What am I missing? I am using JSF 1.1 on WebSphere 6.1
