• Can't ssh to ec2 permission denied (publickey)

  I have existing instances running and I can connect to them fine. Even if I start a new instance from one of my saved ami's I can connect to it fine but any new public or community ami (I've tried 2 offical Ubuntu ami's and 1 Fedora quickstart ami) I get permission denied (publickey). The permissions are good on my key file. I've also tried creating a new keyfile. My ec2 firewall rules are good, I've also tried creating a new group.   Hi I have developed a Flash Video player in Flash CS3 with Action Script 2.0 to play video from Adobe Flash Media Server 3.5. To play video from FMS 3.5, first I have to verify my swf file on FMS 3.5 server console so that it can be ensure that RTMP video URL only be play in verified SWF file. Right now I am facing problem of "NetConnection.Connect.Close" when I try to connect my NetConnection Object to FMS 3.5 to stream video from that server. So now I am getting this message "NetConnection.Connect.Close" from FMS 3.5. When this is happening in my office area at the same time when I am checking the the same video url from out side the office (With help of my friends who is in another office) area it is working fine. My friends naver faced even a single issue with NetConnection.Connect.Close. But in my office when I got message NetConnection.Connect.Close, I can play another streaming video very well like mtv.com jaman.com rajshri.com etc. Some time FMS works fine and video starts playing but in the middle of the video same thing happen "NetConnection.Connect.Close" There is no issue of Bandwidth in my office. I do't know why this is happening. Please see the message when I am getting "NetConnection.Connect.Close" message. • Amazon ELB CNAME record not working

  Hi there, I have set up my EC2 infrastructure behind an ELB instance and by using the ELBs DNS name everything works as expected. Now i wanted to forward a subdomain of my main project domain to the ELBs DNS Name with a CNAME entry. I did this about 12 hours ago and it doesnt seem to work, and i dont know why. The subdomain just cant be resolved. This is the DNS entry which was processed from my DNS provider without errors yesterday: @ IN A 111.111.111.111 localhost IN A 127.0.0.1 mail IN A 111.111.111.111 www IN A 111.111.111.111 ftp IN CNAME www beta IN CNAME myelbnamehere.eu-west-1.elb.amazonaws.com imap IN CNAME www loopback IN CNAME localhost pop IN CNAME www relay IN CNAME www smtp IN CNAME www @ IN MX 10 mail Using nslookup, all the subdomains and main domain gets looked up correctly, but beta.domain.com doesnt. I get "** server can't find beta.domain.com: NXDOMAIN" What am i doing wrong ? Do i need to wait longer ? When i use the ELB DNS name directly everything works as expected. When i do an NSlookup on my providers DNS Server, the CNAME gets resolved, but it looks like any other DNS server cant find the subdomain thanks in advance

• iPhone openGLES performance tuning

  Hey there! I'm trying now for quite a while to optimize the framerate of my game without really making progress. I'm running on the newest iPhone SDK and have a iPhone 3G 3.1.2 device. I invoke arround 150 drawcalls, rendering about 1900 Triangles in total (all objects are textured using two texturelayers and multitexturing. most textures come from the same textureAtlasTexture stored in pvrtc 2bpp compressed texture). This renders on my phone at arround 30 fps, which appears to me to be way too low for only 1900 triangles. I tried many things to optimize the performance, including batching together the objects, transforming the vertices on the CPU and rendering them in a single drawcall. this yelds 8 drawcalls (as oposed to 150 drawcalls), but performance is about the same (fps drop to arround 26fps) I'm using 32byte vertices stored in an interleaved array (12bytes position, 12bytes normals, 8bytes uv). I'm rendering triangleLists and the vertices are ordered in TriStrip order. I did some profiling but I don't really know how to interprete it. instruments-sampling using Instruments and Sampling yelds this result: http://neo.cycovery.com/instruments_sampling.gif telling me that a lot of time is spent in "mach_msg_trap". I googled for it and it seems this function is called in order to wait for some other things. But wait for what?? instruments-openGL instruments with the openGL module yelds this result: http://neo.cycovery.com/intstruments_openglES_debug.gif but here i have really no idea what those numbers are telling me shark profiling: profiling with shark didn't tell me much either: http://neo.cycovery.com/shark_profile_release.gif the largest number is 10%, spent by DrawTriangles - and the whole rest is spent in very small percentage functions Can anyone tell me what else I could do in order to figure out the bottleneck and could help me to interprete those profiling information?   How does this change as of June 18, 2013 affect my existing repository with a file that exceeds that limit? I last pushed 2 months ago with a large file. I have a large file that I have removed locally but I can not push anything now. I get a "remote error" ... remote: error: File cron_log.log is 126.91 MB; this exceeds GitHub's file size limit of 100 MB I added the file to .gitignore after original push... • Issues with cross-domain uploading

  I'm using a django plugin called django-filebrowser which utilizes uploadify. The issue I'm having is that I'm hosting uploadify.swf on a remote static media server, whereas my admin area is on my django server. At first, the browse button wouldn't invoke my browser's upload. I fixed this by modifying the sameScriptAccess to always instead of sameDomain. Now the progress bar doesn't move at all, I probably have to enable some server setting for cross domain file uploading, or most likely actually host a separate upload script on my media server. • Javascript Post Request like a Form Submit

  I'm trying to direct a browser to a different page. If I wanted a GET request, I might say document.location.href = 'http://example.com/q=a'; But the resource I'm trying to access won't respond properly unless I use a POST request. If this were not dynamically generated, I might use the HTML <form action="http://example.com/" method="POST"> <input type="hidden" name="q" value="a"> </form> Then I would just submit the form from the DOM. But really I would like JavaScript that allows me to say post_to_url('http://example.com/', {'q':'a'}); What's the best cross browser implementation? Edit I'm sorry I was not clear. I need a solution that changes the location of the browser, just like submitting a form. If this is possible with XMLHTTPRequest, it is not obvious. And this should not be asynchronous, nor use XML, so AJAX is not the answer.

• jQuery 1.4 Dynamically created images aspect ratio incorrect in IE8 and max-width

  After upgrading to jQuery 1.4, when I try to add an image to a page dynamically using jQuery 1.4 in IE8, the image will lose the correct aspect ratio. This appears to affect only IE8 (IE7 and Firefox work fine) with jQuery 1.4 (1.3.2 works fine). • Open mails in outlook from java using the protocol "mapi://"

  I developp a Java application using Windows Desktop Search from which I can retrieve some information about files on my computer such as urls (System.ItemUrl). An example of such url is file://c:/users/ausername/documents/aninterestingfile.txt for "normal" files. This field give also urls of mail items indexed from Outlook or Thunderbird. Thunderbird's items (only available using vista and seven) are also files (.wdseml). But outlook's items urls start with "mapi://" like : mapi://{S-1-5-21-1626573300-1364474481-487586288-1001}/[email protected]($b423dcd5)/0/Inbox/???????????????????????? The problem I have is opening the real item from Java in Outlook using this url. If I copy/paste it in the run dialog of Windows, it works ; it also works if I use "start" followed by the copied/pasted url in command line. The url seems to be encoded in UTF-16. • NoSuchMethod exception thrown in GWT

  I'm starting to get my feet wet in the latest Google Web Toolkit using the Eclipse plugin on OS X 10.5.8. So far I've been able to get the client up and running, which is great. The server, though, is a different matter. I'm trying to link to a .jar file that has some classes I want to use in a server ServiceImpl class, but it seems to have glommed onto a previous iteration of the .jar - I've added a method, rebuilt the jar, removed the jar from the libraries tab on the GWT project's build path (as well as on the exports) and reincluded the jar. No luck - I'm still getting: [WARN] Exception while dispatching incoming RPC call com.google.gwt.user.server.rpc.UnexpectedException: Service method 'public abstract org.gwtapplication.client.LWDocument org.gwtapplication.client.DocumentService.getDocument()' threw an unexpected exception: java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: org.externalmodel.MyReallyValidClass.toSomething()Ljava/lang/String; at com.google.gwt.user.server.rpc.RPC.encodeResponseForFailure(RPC.java:378) at com.google.gwt.user.server.rpc.RPC.invokeAndEncodeResponse(RPC.java:581) ... • Fancybox "close" hangs/delays in IE7/8

  I'm having an issue with IE7/8 only on a development site: when closing the Fancybox, there is a major delay, sometimes about ten seconds or so, sometimes much longer (like a minute). Some things that might be relevant: • Using fancybox 1.3.1 • Works perfectly on all other browsers (FF, Safari, Opera, Chrome) • The loaded iframe contains a flash "virtual tour" • There are no errors reported in IE's Dev Toolbar or in DebugBar • The fancybox renders perfectly in IE, and after it has closed, there is not a problem loading it again. The closing seems to be the only issue. (That, and that it crashed the client's browser once, but I'm inclined to believe that had more to do with the content of the iframe than fancybox). I changed the link to the iFrame to something simpler (google), and it closed with no problem. So it does seem to have something to do with a conflict with the content of the iframe. • Phonegap Screenshot plugin in Cordova 2.0.0

It worked and the screenshot was saved to the phone. However it fails with cordova 2.0.0.   Hi, I'm using Microsoft's AJAX library via their CDN. Everything was going fine in an old project. I then created a new project and copied and pasted some of the AJAX code hoping that it would work. However, my code isn't working and I've been struggling to figure out why. In filteredtextboxbehavior.debug.js, I have the error: Uncaught TypeError: Object #<an Object> has no method 'registerComponent' Any ideas why I'm getting this error? The code has been working previously so I'm not sure if I had added any extra settings in my old project which the new one doesn't have.   I'm trying to grab some JSON from Apple's iTunes JSON service. The request is simple: http://ax.phobos.apple.com.edgesuite.net/WebObjects/MZStoreServices.woa/wa/wsSearch?term=jac&limit=25 If you visit the URL in your browser you will see some well-formed (backed up by jsonlint.com) JSON. • Sharing session state between 2 ASP.NET applications using SQL Server

  Hi I'm working on a site that has a requirement to share session between a cms application and an online store application on the same domain eg. mydomain.com and store.mydomain.com I've made some progress with it and it works on my local build between localhost/cms and localhost/store Basically I have done what is suggested in this article http://blogs.msdn.com/toddca/archive/2007/01/25/sharing-asp-net-session-state-across-applications.aspx and hacked the TempGetAppID Stored Procedure to return the same application id (1). This appears to work as it creates sessions with ids like 'abv5d2urx1asscfwuzw3wp4500000001', which is what I'd expect. My issue is that when I deploy it to our testing environment, it creates a new session when I navigate between the 2 sites. So when I start a session on the cms site, if I navigate to the store, it creates a new session. These are set up as 2 different websites in IIS7. In the web.config files for both sites, the and elements are both the same and are as follows (minus sensitive information) Has anyone got an ideas why this might not be working? I am sharing Forms Authentication across the 2 sites and that works fine. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated! Many thanks Dave
