  • Replace a div content with PHP

    hi everybody, yesterday, I posted a question about "Hom to change a DIV id with a php function" and someone found the right answer with a regular expression. The problem is that I wanted to use this answer to aplly the method on other same problems. But, as I'm very bad at regular expressions, I couldn't. More than once, the videos doesn't appear. Which is obvious because of the unique ID. As you can see, the content has these ids: div id="player959093-parent" div id="player959093" div id="player959093-config s1.write("player959093"); So my question is: Is there a function that can replace the string "player959093" or concatenate it with some other string to resolve the display problem?     Hi, since in mysql datetime field is represented as string (i'm not sure how it works internally), wouldn't be from performance point of view faster to store date as unix timestamp? I don't need to use any mysql native date functions, i'm going for performance of sorting and selecting data. if there was an index for that column, would be difference between int and datetime?     I'm trying to find a cleaner alternative (that is idiomatic to Scala) to the kind of thing you see with data-binding in WPF/silverlight data-binding - that is, implementing INotifyPropertyChanged. First, some background: In .Net WPF or silverlight applications, you have the concept of two-way data-binding (that is, binding the value of some element of the UI to a .net property of the DataContext in such a way that changes to the UI element affect the property, and vise versa. One way to enable this is to implement the INotifyPropertyChanged interface in your DataContext. Unfortunately, this introduces a lot of boilerplate code for any property you add to the "ModelView" type. ("test.jpg") I tried to use WebBrowser control, to download and render picture, but it only works when WebBrowser placed in displayed form. In other ways it's render only black rectangle. But i want to render picture without any visual effect (creating, activating form etc.)

  • c#: Design advice. Using DataTable or List<MyObject> for a generic rule checker

    Hi, I have about 100,000 lines of generic data. Columns/Properties of this data are user definable and are of the usual data types (string, int, double, date). There will be about 50 columns/properties. I have 2 needs: To be able to calculate new columns/properties using an expression e.g. Column3 = Column1 * Column2. Ultimately I would like to be able to use external data using a callback, e.g. Column3 = Column1 * GetTemperature The expression is relatively simple, maths operations, sum, count & IF are the only necessary functions. To be able to filter/group the data and perform aggregations e.g. Sum(Data.Column1) Where(Data.Column2 == "blah") As far as I can see I have two options: 1. Using a DataTable. = Point 1 above is achieved by using DataColumn.Expression = Point 2 above is acheived by using DataTable.DefaultView.RowFilter & C# code 2. Using a List of generic Objects each with a Dictionary< string, object to store the values. = Point 1 could be achieved by something like NCalc = Point 2 is achieved using LINQ DataTable: Pros: DataColumn.Expression is inbuilt Cons: RowFilter & coding c# is not as "nice" as LINQ, DataColumn.Expression does not support callbacks(?) = workaround could be to get & replace external value when creating the calculated column GenericList: Pros: LINQ syntax, NCalc supports callbacks Cons: Implementing NCalc/generic calc engine Based on the above I would think a GenericList approach would win, but something I have not factored in is the performance which for some reason I think would be better with a datatable. Does anyone have a gut feeling / experience with LINQ vs. DataTable performance? How about NCalc? As I said there are about 100,000 rows of data, with 50 columns, of which maybe 20 are calculated. In total about 50 rules will be run against the data, so in total there will be 5 million row/object scans. Would really appreciate any insights. Thx. ps. Of course using a database + SQL & Views etc. would be the easiest solution, but for various reasons can't be implemented.

But consider this code... $array = array('Item 1'); $array += array('Item 2'); var_dump($array); Output is array(1) { [0]= string(6) "Item 1" } Why does this not work? Skipping the shorthand and using $array = $array + array('Item 2') does not work either. Does it have something to do with the keys?

    Is it possible to control with javascript whether a browser goes to the server for an image or to the browser cache? Can I force the browser to make a server call when it would otherwise use a cached image? I know I can simply append a query string to my image url, but, if I understand correctly, that works because the browser sees that as a new image. I want the old image to be replaced in the cache.

    I believe back when we were on Win2K, Windows Search would search through Jar files to locate specific classes but this doesn't appear to work in XP. Does anyone know how to enable this in XP? Note, to do the search in Win2K we just entered *.jar for the files and "ClassABC" for the search text string and the search would return any jar files containing class files where the title contained "ClassABC".

    I'm invoking a rest service that returns JSON like this: { "some.key" : "some value", "another.key" : "another value" } I would like to think that I can invoke this service with a java.util.Map as the response type but that's not working for me. I get this exception: org.springframework.web.client.RestClientException: Could not extract response: no suitable HttpMessageConverter found for response type [interface java.util.Map] Should I just specify String as the response type and convert the JSON to a Map?
