  • Differences between KVR16N11H/8 and KVR16N11/8 memory except for height?

    I accidentally ordered KVR16N11/8 instead of KVR16N11H/8 and I'm wondering if I'm going to have compability issues with my Intel DP67DE motherboard. When searching for compatible RAM on Kingstons site for that motherboard the KVR16N11H/8 RAM was one of the compatible ones. The KVR16N11/8 did not show up as compatible for that motherboard. The only difference I can see is that they have different physical height, or am I missing something?

    I am configuring apache2 on debian and would like to allow only robots.txt to be accessed for searching engines, while other .txt files are restricted, I tried to add the followings to .htaccess but no luck: <Files robots.txt> Order Allow,Deny Allow from All </Files> <Files *.txt> Order Deny,Allow Deny from All </Files> Can anyone help or give me some hints?     i tried executing the mail() and got the following error "Warning: mail() [function.mail]: Failed to connect to mailserver at "localhost" port 25, verify your "SMTP" and "smtp_port" setting in php.ini or use ini_set() " but SMTP and smtp_port are both set in php.ini more ever other codes are working fine with localhost. disabled or/and added exception to firewell no result.... tried telnet localhost 25 error:could not connect to localhost port 25:connection failed..... Thunderbird my mail client says:could not connect to server localhost the connection was refused....

AGDLP principle said that I should assign permissions on the above folders to DL-Groups. Let's say I have a G-Group of users, G-Accounting-Payable, containing users that have access to the D:\Acctg\Payable folder. The way I see it, I have two strategies: - Strategy 1 Create three DL-Groups and assign them permissions: DL-D-Acctg_T -- allowed traversal of D:\Acctg folder DL-D-Acctg-Pay_LF -- allowed listing of D:\Acctg\Payable folder contents DL-D-Acctg-Pay__RW -- allowed full permissions to the contents of D:\Acctg\Payable folder Add G-Accounting-Payable as member to all the above DL-Groups - Strategy 2 Create just one DL-Group DL-D-Acctg-Pay__RW, and assign it the proper permissions for each level of the folder. Then, add G-Accounting-Payable as member to that DL-Group. - Which strategy is the Recommended Best Practice, and why?

  • VMware vSphere 4.1: host performance graphs show "No data available", except the realtime view, which works fine

    Here's our scenario: Site 1 has 3 hosts, and our vCenter server is here. Site 2 has 3 hosts. All hosts are ESXi 4.1 update 1. If I view the Performance tab for any host in Site 1, I can view realtime, 1 Day, etc., i.e. all the views give me graph data. For the hosts in Site 2, I can view the realtime graphs, 1 Day and 1 Week both say "No data available". 1 Month had mostly nothing, 1 Year shows that it was working fine for a long time and then started breaking. 1 Month view: 1 Year view: What would cause this loss of performance data?

  • VPN is working, except for DNS lookups. Firewall (Cisco ASA 5505) issue?

    I've got the following set up: LAN -> DHCP / DNS / VPN server (OSX 10.6) -> Cisco ASA 5505 -> WAN Connecting to the LAN via VPN works fine. I get all the details properly and I can ping any host on the internal network using their IP. However, I can't do any host lookups whatsoever. I've looked through the logs on and found this nugget in the firewall log: 3 Sep 08 2010 10:46:40 305006 10.0.0.197 65371 portmap translation creation failed for udp src inside:myhostname.local/53 dst inside:10.0.0.197/65371 Port 53 is dns services, no? Because of that log entry, I'm thinking that the issue is with the firewall, not the server. Any ideas? Please keep in mind that I have very little knowledge and experience with this kind of firewall and the little experience I do have is with the ASDM GUI console, not the CLI console.

  • Motherboard will fully reboot, except with reset/shutdown button.

    Hello Everyone, I have a intel d525mw motherboard, on which I have ubuntu server. When I go to reboot my machine, it goes to the restart prompt and then just hangs there. I have also noticed this when I had freebsd on it. It kills everything and drops to a shell view where the final line reads something like "[timestamp] restarting now" and then it just sits there and I manually have to reboot it. Any idea what could be causing this?

  • All email directed to 3rd party vendor except for one specific domain. How?

    So we setup a site to site vpn tunnel with another company. We then proceeded to setup a DNS zone on each others dns servers and entered in each others Mail server name and IP, MX record and WWW record. This allowed us to send emails to each others mail servers through the site to site vpn. Now recently the other company started using MX Logic to scan all outbound and incoming mail. So all outbound email is directed to MX Logic. However we still want email between us to travel across the the Site to Site VPN tunnel. How can we specify that to happen for just one domain not to be directed to MX Logic? Stump on both ends and looking for help.

This should NOT apply to our dev team (operating remotely), so we'd want to specify certain IPs that should have access to the under-construction site. How can this be accomplished in IIS 6?   • 100% CPU in QuickTime H.264 decoder on Windows on Win7, except when using XP compat. mode

    I have a Windows program that uses the Apple QuickTime API to play video. On Windows 7, CPU usage is 100% on one core, which I believe is why the playback is choppy. If I turn on XP compatibility mode for this program, the CPU usage is around 20% of one core, and playback is normal. Using a profiling tool called Very Sleepy (http://www.codersnotes.com/sleepy), I was able to narrow down the high CPU usage to a function in the QuickTime H.264 decoder called JVTCompComponentDispatch. I can't imagine why there would be a difference in CPU usage when XP compatibility mode is turned off or on. Any ideas?

  • Can I get a dump of all my databases *except one* using mysqldump?

    I'm currently using mySQLdump to backup my dev machine and servers. There is one project I just started, however, that has a HUUUUUGE database that I don't really need backed up, and i'll be a big problem to add it to the rest of the backup cycle. I'm currently doing this: "c:\Program Files\mysql\MySQL Server 5.1\bin\mysqldump" -u root -pxxxxxx --all-databases g:\backups\MySQL\mysqlbackup.sql Is it possible to somehow specify "except this database(s)"? I wouldn't like to have to specify the list of DBs manually, since that would mean that I'd have to remember updating my backup batch file every time I create a new DB, and I know that's not gonna happen. EDIT: As you probably guessed from my command line above, i'm doing this on Windows, so I can't do any kind of fancy bash stuff, only wimpy .bat things. Alternatively, if you have other ideas to solve this same issue, they are more than welcome, of course! Thanks Daniel

Except for a predefined list of record's columns which their records should appear first in a given predefined order, then all other records should be sorted alphabetically based on the same column For instance, assume we have the following table which is called Names Lets assume the predefined list is ("Mathew", "Ashraf", "Jack"). I.e. these are the names of whom their records should be listed first as in the predefined order. So the desired query result should be: Which query could retrieve this custom order ?     I need to get a string from URL request of brower, and then create a text image by requested text. I know the default encoding of the Java net transmission is "ISO-8859-1", it can works normally with all characters what defined in "ISO-8859-1". But when I request a multi-byte Unicode character (e.g. chinese or something like ¤?), then I need to decode it by "UTF-8" from "ISO-8859-1". My codes like: String reslut = new String(requestString.getBytes("ISO-8859-1"), "UTF-8"); Everything is fine, but I found some characters in ISO-8859-1 are not been shown now, which characters are 0x80 - 0xFF(defined in" ISO-8859-1"), i.e. the characters except 0x00-0x7F are not been shown when converted to "UTF-8" from "ISO-8859-1" Any other method can solve this query?

    .saf_search is a button, when it's clicked, the menu .lisearch fades in, when you click anywhere on the page EXCEPT for on the menu .lisearch, then it should fade out(that's how it's SUPPOSED to work) Does anyone know why this isn't working?     hi, so I have this simple for loop to echo an array: for ($i = 0; $i < count($director); $i++) { echo '<a href="person.php?id='.$director[$i]["id"].'">'.$director[$i]["name"].'</a>'; } The problem here is that when more than one element is in the array then I get everything echoed without any space between. I want to separate each element with a comma except the last one. I cant use 'implode' so I'm looking for another solution... Anyone?
