  • Setup Custom Portal & Content Enabled Domain

    - by Stefan Krantz
When overlooking the past year we have seen a large increase in deployments where only some parts of the WebCenter Suite infrastructure has been used. The most common from my personal perspective is a domain topology that includes: WebCenter Custom Portal, WebCenter Content and Oracle HTTP ServicesToday its very common to see installation where the whole suite is installed when the use case only requires the custom portal and some sub component like WebCenter Content. This post will go into detail on how to minimize the deployment time and effort by only laying down the necessary managed servers needed, by following this proposed method you will minimize the configuration steps and only install the required components and schema's, configure only the necessary components and minimize the impact of architectural changes through reduced dependencies. Assumptions: Oracle 11g Database installed SYS or equivalent access to Database to setup schema's via RCU Running Operating System supporting JDK 7 Update 2 (Check support matrix here) Good understanding of WebLogic Architecture Binaries: Oracle JDK 7 Update 2 (1.7.0_02) (Download) Oracle WebLogic 10.3.6 (Download) Oracle WebCenter Binaries (11.1.1.6) (Download) Oracle WebCenter Content Binaries (11.1.1.6) (Download 1) (Download 2) Oracle HTTP Services (11.1.1.6) (Download) Oracle Repository Creation Utility (11.1.1.6) (Download Linux or Windows) Schema's: Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; • Download HTML and Images with WGet without first few lines

    - by St. John Johnson
I'm attempting to use wget with the -p option to download specific documents and the images linked in the HTML. The problem is, the site that is hosting the HTML has some non-html information preceding the HTML. This is causing wget to not interpret the document as HTML and doesn't search for images. Is there a way to have wget strip the first X lines and/or force searching for images? Example URL: http://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/13239/000119312510070346/ds4.htm First Lines of Content: <DOCUMENT> <TYPE>S-4 <SEQUENCE>1 <FILENAME>ds4.htm <DESCRIPTION>FORM S-4 <TEXT> <HTML><HEAD> <TITLE>Form S-4</TITLE> Last Lines of Content: </BODY></HTML> </TEXT> </DOCUMENT>

  • Getting a 404 when setting up MVC in IIS 6 and using .NET 4 beta 2

    - by joshcomley
Hi all, I've completed this set up on a fair few IIS 6 boxes, but one is giving me a tough time. The problem occurs when I add the application extension mapping to: c:\windows\microsoft.net\framework\v4.0.21006\aspnet_isapi.dll When this is in place, I get a 404 error on every request. Even if I remove all files from the application directory apart from a basic test.htm and navigate to that, I still get a 404. I've unchecked the "Verify that file exists" I've set up a .NET 4 application pool and pointed my application to that I've changed the ASP.NET version to 4.0.21006 I've checked the IIS log file, and there's nothing useful in there (it only shows the first bunch of requests after each reboot and then stops logging) I've checked the application event log and nothing gets reported I've installed MVC 2 I've copied the set up onto another box, just to be sure, following all the same steps - and it all works! What else can I look out for?? N.B: If I set .NET to v2 in IIS, then I can successfully navigate to \test.htm

  • apache mod-rewrite issue

    - by mike
I've modified my .htaccess file to have the following statement RewriteCond $1 !^index.php$ RewriteRule ^/?([^/]+)$ index.php?c=home&m=details&seo=$1 [L,NS] This allows me to use product URL's like this: http://domain.com/product_name However, when trying to access a file at the same level as index.php, it always calls the RewriteRule above and errors out. I need to be able to access files like below, but each URL currently attempts to load index.php. http://domain.com/about.htm http://domain.com/terms.htm http://domain.com/robots.txt etc Any suggestions on how I can modify my htaccess file to get this to work correctly?

  • loading js files dynamically via another js file?

    - by mark smith
Hi there, is there anyway to load other JS files from within a single JS file. I would like to point my individual pages "ITS" js file and that js file would load jquery, other js files. I know i can just pop all these into the html i.e. I was thinking of separations of concerns so i was wondering if anything exists already without me reinventing the wheel.... That i would just need to edit home.js to change what other js (jquery etc) are loaded for home.htm ... home.htm would just point to home.js Thanks

  • Bulk import 301 redirects in IIS 6.0

    - by pkiddie
Is there a mechanism, or any additional tools that I can make use of to bulk import 301 redirect rules into an IIS6.0 web application? I want to be able to 301 redirect some old .htm pages to their new home on a CMS to ensure the current search index entries resolve OK and don't 404, but there are roughly ~50 pages. The only way I've found to achieve this is to create dummy .htm files and then right click on the file-File tab-Redirect to a URL radio button within the IIS MMC snapin, which is a little laborious over the number of pages. Thanks.

  • How do I use FB.Connect.streamPublish in an iframe facebook app?

    - by Gary
I'm making a simple iframe-based facebook app. I have the following code to size my iframe: FB_RequireFeatures(["Connect"], function(){ FB.XdComm.Server.init('/xd_receiver.htm'); FB.CanvasClient.startTimerToSizeToContent(); FB.CanvasClient.syncUrl(); }); I want to add a link that will display a popup which will allow the user to post an app-defined image/link to the user's wall. To get things working initially, I tried just using the following code on a click event: FB.Connect.streamPublish(''); However, nothing happens. I've tried adding: FB.init(<?=API_KEY?>, '/xd_receiver.htm'); both inside the FB_RequireFeatures function, before it, after it... no luck. Nothing happens. No errors are thrown. Nothing. Any ideas?

  • How can I get make JavaScript code execution to wait until an AJAX request with script is loaded and executed?

    - by Edward Tanguay
In my application, I am using Ext.Ajax.request to load scripts which I execute with eval. The problem is that since it takes time for the AJAX request to complete, code that is executed afterward which needs variables which are in the script loaded in via AJAX. In this example, I show how this is the case. How can I change this code so that the execution of the JavaScript after the AJAX waits until the script in the AJAX call has been loaded and executed? testEvalIssue_script.htm: <script type="text/javascript"> console.log('2. inside the ajax-loaded script'); </script> main.htm: <html> <head> <script type="text/javascript" src="ext/adapter/ext/ext-base.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="ext/ext-all-debug.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> function loadViewViaAjax(url) { Ext.Ajax.request({ url: url, success: function(objServerResponse) { var responseText = objServerResponse.responseText; var scripts, scriptsFinder=/<script[^>]*>([\s\S]+)<\/script>/gi; while(scripts=scriptsFinder.exec(responseText)) { eval.call(window,scripts[1]); } } }); } console.log('1. before loading ajax script'); loadViewViaAjax('testEvalIssue_script.htm'); console.log('3. after loading ajax script'); </script> </head> <body> </body> </html> output: 1. before loading ajax script 3. after loading ajax script 2. inside the ajax-loaded script How can I get the output to be in the correct order, like this: 1. before loading ajax script 2. inside the ajax-loaded script 3. after loading ajax script

  • Executing AJAX scripts within an AJAX response

    - by KcYxA
Hi there, I'm having trouble using AJAX page updates along with other AJAX scripts. During a normal page load, the AJAX scripts (picture scrolling and picture thumbnails) work fine. But when I update a page with AJAX, these scripts (usually loaded in the header of the initial page load) stop working. I am wondering if this is specific to these scripts and I need to look into them deeper to resolve/re-write or if I am missing something more generic in combining AJAX page updates with AJAX scripts the returned code relies on. Embedded javascript runs fine. Thanks for your ideas! PS: The scripts I am using are from www.dynamicdrive.com are: 1) stepcarousel (http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex4/stepcarousel.htm) and 23) thumbnailviewer (http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex4/thumbnail.htm) from the

  • Post login execution

    - by Javi
Hello, I need to do some processing only after the user has successfully logged in the system. I have thought that I can do a RESTful method and setting it as the default-target-url so when the login is successful it goes to this url and then I can redirect to the real index of my web application. <form-login login-page='/login.htm' default-target-url='/home.htm' always-use-default-target='true' /> The problem is that this processing can be executed by calling its URL so it could be executed by any user at any time. I want to make sure it is only executed after login. Is there any way to do this? Thank you very much.

  • Frameset frame cached by Firefox

    - by dragonfly
Hi, I have a html page which contains nested frameset (don't ask why, I'm only servicing the app ;) ). What bothers me, is why FF caches Header.htm file constantly. I had to use clear cache to force browser to download it again. ctrl+f5 didn't help. <frameset rows="68,*" border="0" frameborder="no" framespacing="0"> <frame name="header" src="/Header.htm" scrolling="no" noresize> <frame name="footer" src="/Login.aspx?w=<% =company %>&amp;loc=<% =ccdom %>"> </frameset> Any ideas what is responsible for that behaviour? On the other hand, IE downloads the file without a hassle. Thanks, Pawel

  • redirecting to multiple virtual subdomains using htaccess

Hi Everyone I am trying to create subdomains via htaccess. The code below does exactly want I want It takes http://domain.com and redirect it to http://www.domain.com Options -Indexes DirectoryIndex index.html index.htm index.asp index.php ErrorDocument 401 http://www.domain.com ErrorDocument 403 http://www.domain.com ErrorDocument 404 http://www.domain.com ErrorDocument 500 http://www.domain.com ErrorDocument 507 http://www.domain.com RewriteEngine On RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^domain.com$ RewriteRule ^(.*) http://www.domain.com/$1 [QSA,L,R=301] AddType text/html .html .htm .asp This is the part I am not to sure of: RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^domain.com/nl$ RewriteRule ^(.*) http://nl.domain.com/$1 [QSA,L,R=301] How can I create virtual subdomains so that if someone goes to http://nl.domain.com it would stay on http://nl.domain.com if someone types http://www.nl.domain.com it would take out the http://www.nl.domain.com and make it http://nl.domain.com also the directory structure for the subdomain would be http://www.domain.com/nl (This is where the actual files will be sitting). so if someone goes to http://www.domain.com/nl it should also redirect to http://nl.domain.com. Thanks in advance for any advice and pointers
