  • DataTriggered animation is triggered only in the first time

    - by Pavel
    I just wanted to create very simple example of DataTriggers and animation. Two checkboxes and Rectangle. Checking the first cb makes the rectangle fade away. (CodeBehind var is true) Checking the second cb makes the rectangle come back. (var is false) App is loading - the rectangle is showing (true) Firs cb is checked by default. I'm checking second cb - rect is dissapearing. It's OK. But when I then check the first cb rect isn't showing up. But checking the second cb still makes rect show up and fade away. here's my xaml and code behind: <StackPanel> <RadioButton IsChecked="True" Checked="RadioButton_Checked"></RadioButton> <RadioButton Checked="RadioButton_Checked_1"></RadioButton> <Rectangle Name="r1" Width="100" Height="300" Fill="Green"> <Rectangle.Style> <Style TargetType="Rectangle"> <Style.Triggers> <DataTrigger Binding="{Binding Active}" Value="True"> <DataTrigger.EnterActions> <BeginStoryboard> <Storyboard> <DoubleAnimation Storyboard.TargetProperty="Opacity" From="0" To="1" Duration="0:0:1" /> </Storyboard> </BeginStoryboard> </DataTrigger.EnterActions> </DataTrigger> <DataTrigger Binding="{Binding Active}" Value="False"> <DataTrigger.EnterActions> <BeginStoryboard> <Storyboard> <DoubleAnimation Storyboard.TargetProperty="Opacity" From="1" To="0" Duration="0:0:1" /> </Storyboard> </BeginStoryboard> </DataTrigger.EnterActions> </DataTrigger> </Style.Triggers> </Style> </Rectangle.Style> </Rectangle> </StackPanel> public bool Active { get { return (bool) GetValue(ActiveProperty); } set { SetValue(ActiveProperty, value); } } public static readonly DependencyProperty ActiveProperty = DependencyProperty.Register("Active", typeof(bool), typeof(MainWindow), new UIPropertyMetadata(false)); private void RadioButton_Checked(object sender, RoutedEventArgs e) { Active = true; } private void RadioButton_Checked_1(object sender, RoutedEventArgs e) { Active = false; }

  • When calling CRUD check if "parent" exists with read or join?

    - by Trick
    All my entities can not be deleted - only deactivated, so they don't appear in any read methods (SELECT ... WHERE active=TRUE). Now I have some 1:M tables on this entities on which all CRUD operations can be executed. What is more efficient or has better performance? My first solution: To add to all CRUD operations: UPDATE ... JOIN entity e ... WHERE e.active=TRUE My second solution: Before all CRUD operations check if entity is active: if (getEntity(someId) != null) { //do some CRUD } In getEntity there's just SELECT * FROM entity WHERE id=? AND active=TRUE. Or any other solution, recommendation,...?

  • jQuery password strength plugin callback validation method

    - by jmorhardt
    I'm using a a jQuery plugin to evaluate password strength. It gives a graphical representation for the user to see how secure the password is. I'd like to use it to validate the field as well. The plugin works by assessing the password and giving it a score. I want to be able to verify that the user has entered a password of at least a certain score. The code is hosted on jQuery's site here: http://plugins.jquery.com/project/pstrength. The documentation states that there is a way to add a rule and do custom validation. I'm not sure where to start. The inline documentation states: * === Changelog === * Version 2.1 (18/05/2008) * Added a jQuery method to add a new rule: jQuery('input[@type=password]').pstrength.addRule(name, method, score, active) And later in the code there's this method: jQuery.extend(jQuery.fn.pstrength, { 'addRule': function (name, method, score, active) { digitalspaghetti.password.addRule(name, method, score, active); return true; }, 'changeScore': function (rule, score) { digitalspaghetti.password.ruleScores[rule] = score; return true; }, 'ruleActive': function (rule, active) { digitalspaghetti.password.rules[rule] = active; return true; } }); If anybody has seen an example of how to do this I'd appreciate a pointer in the right direction. Thanks!

  • PendingIntent in Widget + TaskKiller

    - by YaW
    Hi, I've developed an Application (called Instant Buttons) and the app has a widget feature. This widget uses PendingIntent for the onClick of the widget. My PendingIntent code is something like this: Intent active = new Intent(context, InstantWidget.class); active.setAction(String.valueOf(appWidgetId)); active.putExtra("blabla", blabla); //Some data PendingIntent actionPendingIntent = PendingIntent.getBroadcast(context, 0, active, 0); actionPendingIntent.cancel(); actionPendingIntent = PendingIntent.getBroadcast(context, 0, active, 0); remoteViews.setOnClickPendingIntent(R.id.button, actionPendingIntent); The onReceive gets the intent and do some stuff with the MediaPlayer class to reproduce a sound. I have reports from some users that the widgets stop working after a while and with some research i've discovered is because the Task Killers. It seems that when you kill the app in the TaskKiller, the PendingIntent is erased from memory, so when you click the widget, it doesn't know what to do. Is there any solution for this? Is my code wrong or something or it's the default behavior of the PendingIntent? Is there something I can use to avoid the TaskKiller to stop my widgets from working?? Greetings.

  • Updating a field in a record dyanamically in extjs

    - by Daemon
    Scenario I want to update the column data of particular record in grid having store with static data. Here is my store: : : extend : 'Ext.data.Store', model : 'MyModel', autoLoad:true, proxy: { type: 'ajax', url:'app/data/data.json', reader: { type: 'json', root: 'users' } }, My data.json { 'users': [ { QMgrStatus:"active", QMgrName: 'R01QN00_LQYV', ChannelStatus:'active', ChannelName : 'LQYV.L.CLNT', MxConn: 50 } ] } What I am doing to update the record : var grid = Ext.getCmp('MyGrid'); var store = Ext.getStore('Mystore'); store.each(function(record,idx){ val = record.get('ChannelName'); if(val == "LQYV.L.CLNT"){ record.set('ChannelStatus','inactive'); record.commit(); } }); console.log(store); grid.getView().refresh(); MY PROBLEM I am getting the record updated over here.It is not getting reflected in my grid panel.The grid is using the same old store(static).Is the problem of static data? Or am I missing something or going somewhere wrong? Please help me out with this issue.Thanks a lot. MY EDIT I am tryng to color code the column based on the status.But here I am always getting the status="active" even though I am updating the store. What I am trying to do in my grid { xtype : 'grid', itemId : 'InterfaceQueueGrid', id :'MyGrid', store : 'Mytore', height : 216, width : 600, columns : [ { text: 'QueueMgr Status', dataIndex: 'QMgrStatus' , width:80 }, { text: 'Queue Manager \n Name', dataIndex: 'QMgrName' , width: 138}, { text: 'Channel Status',dataIndex: 'ChannelStatus' , width: 78,align:'center', renderer: function(value, meta, record) { var val = record.get('ChannelStatus'); console.log(val); // Here I am always getting status="active". if (val == 'inactive') { return '<img src="redIcon.png"/>'; }else if (val == 'active') { return '<img src="greenIcon.png"/>'; } } }, { text: 'Channel Name', align:'center', dataIndex: 'ChannelName', width: 80} { text: 'Max Connections', align:'center', dataIndex: 'MxConn', width: 80} ] }

  • Why does animate not work for the first few 'selections' of my next button?

    - by Josiah
    I'll just start right off the bat and say I'm fairly new to JQuery, so if you see some glaring issues with my code....let me know what I'm doing wrong! Either way, I've been working on a script to fade divs in and out using the z-index and animate. It "works" after about 2-3 clicks, but the first two clicks do not fade or animate as I was hoping....why is that? I'll just throw javascript up here, but if you need/want more code, just let me know. Thanks! $(document).ready(function() { //Slide rotation/movement variables var first = $('#main div.slide:first').attr('title'); var last = $('#main div.slide').length; //Needed for the next/prev buttons var next; //Set the first div to the front, and variable for first div var $active = $('#main div.slide[title='+first+']'); //Hide the links until the div is hovered over and take them away when mouse leaves $('#main').children('a').hide(); $('#main').mouseenter(function() { $('#main').children('a').fadeIn(750); }).mouseleave(function() { $('#main').children('a').fadeOut(750); }); $active.css('z-index', '4'); $('#main #next').click(function() { if ((next = parseInt($active.attr('title')) + 1) > last) { next = 1; } $active.css('z-index', '0').stop().animate({opacity: 0}, 1000); $active = $('#main div[title='+next+']').css('z-index', '4').stop().animate({opacity : 1}, 1000); }); });

  • jquery tabbed interface breaks when using images

    - by Steve
    hello all, using jquery to create a tabbed interface. coding is quite typical: html: <div id="tabbed-interface"> <ul> <li><a href="#option1">Option1</a></li> <li><a href="#option2">Option2</a></li> <li><a href="#option3">Option3</a></li> </ul> </div> jquery: $(document).ready(function(){ $('#tabbed-interface li:first').addClass('active'); $('#tabbed-interface div').not(':first').hide(); $('#tabbed-interface>ul>li>a').click(function(event){ $('#tabbed-interface>ul>li').removeClass('active'); $(event.target).parent().addClass('active'); $('#tabbed-interface>div').fadeOut().filter(this.hash).fadeIn(250); return false;});}); css: ul li {background: #232323; list-style: none; border: 1px solid #616161; } ul li.active {background: none; list-style: none; border: 1px solid: #616161; border-bottom: 1px solid #121212; z-index: 1; } as you can see, all this does is add the class 'active' to the li that is clicked, and this corresponds to whether a background is shown or not. this works perfectly with text, but i am required to use non standard fonts. when i try to side step the issue using transparent .png images, it is unreliable. For instance, changing the HTML to: <div id="tabbed-interface"> <ul> <li><a href="#option1"><img src="option1.png" /></a></li>

  • Hibernate Annotation for Entity existing in more than 1 catalog

    - by user286395
    I have a Person entity mapped by Hibernate to a database table in a database catalog "Active". After a period of time, records in this database table in the "Active" catalog are archived/moved to an exact copy of the table in a database Catalog "History". I have the need to retrieve from both the Active and History Catalogs. Is there a better way to model this with Hibernate annotations than making an abstract class that 2 classes extend from. This is what I have now. @MappedSuperclass public abstract class Person { @Id private Integer id; private String name; } @Entity @Table(name="Person", catalog="Active") public class PersonActive extends Person { } @Entity @Table(name="Person", catalog="History") public class PersonHistory extends Person { }

  • add navigation buttons with highlight to jQuery Cycle

    - by JJ Nold
    I am currently using jQuery cycle to display featured projects. I currently have the next and prev buttons setup, I also have four rounded buttons in between. I would like them to function as both a link to the corresponding slide as well as add a class to the button who's slide is currently active. I have the nav setup and the active class setup I just need the jQuery. You can see the code at http://jjnold.com/dev in the main slider at the top. I was thinking it's probably something like this to assign the class but I'm not sure how to link to the corresponding slide and have them work together. Any help is greatly appreciated. $('.featuredNavInt a').click(function() { $('.featuredNavInt a').removeClass('active'); $(this).addClass('active'); });

  • LINQ to SQL DB Connections not closing

    - by Joe
    I am using LINQ to SQL in an asp.net mvc application. I am calling stored procedures via ajax calls. The active connections for 2-3 users goes to 100 active connections. and then server timeouts happen. I then used IOC -autofac to resuse the same repository that has a datacontext. now tho i get an active connection on the SQL server per loggedin user plus one. I have never seen this before. Why wouldnt Lin2sql not drop a connection when not in use? would calling a stored procedure in an ajax call in a loggedin session creat an a new active connection? Could a Stored Procedure with loops and or a waitfor hold open a connection??

Can it be simplified/reduced further? Many thanks!

  • How to make link become inactive?

    - by Konstantin Vasilcov
    The idea was simple: change li background color on hover to one color ul#menu li a:hover {...} change it on mouse press to the other color ul#menu li a:active {...} return the color to the original (normal) if the link is neither hover nor pressed The problem appeared to be that, if user rejected his intention and lets the mouse up away from the link, the back color stays as if it was pressed. Then I tried to research and came up with this: ul#menu li a:hover:active {...} It became better, and the link is not marked with special back color in a normal state after user presses the link and rejects. But the "on-hover" back color became equal to the active one. So it looks like the link gets "active" state and stays in it even after user releases mouse button. Hate to write this, but I am very new to html and css. So I may be missing something very basic here. Could you, please, suggest any way, how to achieve my goal? EDIT I've read this source CSS Styling links (thought there could be some other state to use instead of active), but found nothing suitable there...

  • Tunnel is up but cannot ping directly connected network

    - by drmanalo
    We configured a site-to-site VPN and here is the topology. I control the network on the left but not the one on the right. All devices in our network has public IPs. Server---ASA5505---Cisco887======Internet=====ASA5510---devices I can see the tunnel is up and can do extended ping using a loopback interface. From the 10.175 and 10.165 networks, they can also ping my loopback address. I can also dial in using a Cisco VPN client, and can connect to the devices on the right. #show crypto session Crypto session current status Interface: Vlan3 Profile: xxx-profile Session status: UP-ACTIVE Peer: 213.121.x.x port 500 IKEv1 SA: local 77.245.x.x/500 remote 213.121.x.x/500 Active IPSEC FLOW: permit ip 10.0.20.0/255.255.255.240 10.175.0.0/255.255.128.0 Active SAs: 0, origin: crypto map IPSEC FLOW: permit ip 10.0.20.0/255.255.255.240 10.165.0.0/255.255.192.0 Active SAs: 2, origin: crypto map #ping 10.165.29.39 source loopback 2 Type escape sequence to abort. • How to configure default text selection behavior in Windows XP, 7? (eg. mouse click selects entire word vs. mouse click inserts an active cursor)

    - by Mouse of Fury
    I find the mouse click behavior of Windows XP and Windows 7 annoying and intrusive. I don't remember Windows NT being quite this bad, or MacOS 7 - 10 which I used in the nineties. When I'm using a browser and I click on a text field - for example, the address bar, or a search box - the first thing which happens is the entire field is selected.Subsequent clicks seem to select parts of words, often deciding arbitrarily to exclude or include adjacent punctuation. The same in Excel and other apps, and when trying to rename files, so I'm assuming this behavior comes from a system-wide text handling routine. I frequently want to edit text, cut out or replace odd parts of the insides of words or chunks of sentences, and often find that to get a simple cursor to insert I have to click the mouse up to 4 times in succession. I've had to do a lot of this recently and it has been driving me insane. Is there a place at the system level where this can be configured? In a perfect world, I'd like a single click on a new text area to insert a cursor point, and a rapid double click to select the entire area. Words or text within the area could be selected by inserting a cursor, holding down the mouse button and dragging to the exact point where I want the selection to end - even if that's in the middle of a word. No, I don't need or want Windows to "smart select" a word or sentence for me. I've looked in the Mouse and Accessibility Options control panels (Windows XP). Haven't found anything even close. Thanks -

  • Does a hard drive "working hard", i.e. when defragmenting or otherwise continuously active, significantly affect a laptop's temperature?

    - by Marko
    Trying to diagnose and fix an overheating Acer 5735 laptop, running speedfan and doing general workload to try and cause the overheat conditions. I notice that windows xp is badly fragmented according to defraggler, at 58% fragmentation. So I defrag whilst watching the speedfan window, which was at the start reporting high warning style symbols for all of the sensors. After the defrag, I rebooted and ran a few programs, and even defraggler again and the sensors in speedfan all reported green i.e. not high. Wondering if there is a correlation between windows fragmentation causing the hard drive to work harder and produce more heat inside the laptop? dont want to just assume that the problems are resolved, so either speedfan is not accurate enough or fragmentation can lead to additional hard drive heat? All comments or suggestions welcome.

  • reuse div container to load images

    - by user295927
    Hi All; What I would like to do: use a single container to load images. As it is now: I have eleven (11) containers in HTML mark-up each with its own div. each container holds 4 images (2 images side by side top and bottom) when link in anchor tag is clicked div with images fades in. /*-- Jquery accordion is used for navigation typical example is below --*/ <li> <a class="head" href="#">commercial/hospitality</a> <ul> <li><a href="#" projectName="project1" projectType="hospitality1" image1="images/testImage1.jpg" image2="images/testImage2.jpg" image3="images/testImage3.jpg" image4="images/testImage4.jpg">hospitality project number 1</a> </li> <li><a href="#" projectName="project2" projectType="hospitality2" image1="images/testImage1.jpg" image2="images/testImage2.jpg" image3="images/testImage3.jpg" image4="images/testImage4.jpg">hospitality project number 2</a> </li> <li><a href="#" projectName="project3" projectType="hospitality3" image1="images/testImage1.jpg" image2="images/testImage2.jpg" image3="images/testImage3.jpg" image4="images/testImage4.jpg">hospitality project number 3</a> </li> </ul> </li> Typical <div> container used for image insertion currently there are 11 of them: <div id="hospitality1" class="current"> <div id="image1"><img src="images/testImage.jpg"/></div> <div id="image2"><img src="images/testImage.jpg"/></div> <div id="image3"><img src="images/testImage.jpg"/></div> <div id="image4"><img src="images/testImage.jpg"/></div> </div> Here is the code I am using at this point, it does work, but is there a better way to do this that will only re-use a single div container for loading the images? $(document).ready(function(){ $('#navigation a').click(function (selected) { var projectType = $(this).attr("projectType"); //projectType var projectName = $(this).attr("projectName"); //projectName var image1 = $(this).attr("image1"); //anchor tag for image number 1 var image2 = $(this).attr("image2"); //anchor tag for image number 2 var image3 = $(this).attr("image3"); //anchor tag for image number 3 var image4 = $(this).attr("image4"); //anchor tag for image number 4 console.log(projectType); //returns type of project console.log(projectName); //returns name of project console.log(image1); //returns 1st image console.log(image2); //returns 2nd image console.log(image3); //returns 3rd image console.log(image4); //returns 4th image $(function() { $(".current").hide(); // hides previous selected image $("#" + projectType ).fadeIn("normal").addClass("current"); }); }); As you can, see the mark up getting quite large. Any help is appreciated. ussteele

  • How can I hit my database with an AJAX call using javascript?

    - by tmedge
    I am pretty new at this stuff, so bear with me. I am using ASP.NET MVC. I have created an overlay to cover the page when someone clicks a button corresponding to a certain database entry. Because of this, ALL of my code for this functionality is in a .js file contained within my project. What I need to do is pull the info corresponding to my entry from the database itself using an AJAX call, and place that into my textboxes. Then, after the end-user has made the desired changes, I need to update that entry's values to match the input. I've been surfing the web for a while, and have failed to find an example that fits my needs effectively. Here is my code in my javascript file thus far: function editOverlay(picId) { //pull up an overlay $('body').append('<div class="overlay" />'); var $overlayClass = $('.overlay'); $overlayClass.append('<div class="dataModal" />'); var $data = $('.dataModal'); overlaySetup($overlayClass, $data); //set up form $data.append('<h1>Edit Picture</h1><br /><br />'); $data.append('Picture name: &nbsp;'); $data.append('<input class="picName" /> <br /><br /><br />'); $data.append('Relative url: &nbsp;'); $data.append('<input class="picRelURL" /> <br /><br /><br />'); $data.append('Description: &nbsp;'); $data.append('<textarea class="picDescription" /> <br /><br /><br />'); var $nameBox = $('.picName'); var $urlBox = $('.picRelURL'); var $descBox = $('.picDescription'); var pic = null; //this is where I need to pull the actual object from the db //var imgList = for (var temp in imgList) { if (temp.Id == picId) { pic= temp; } } /* $nameBox.attr('value', pic.Name); $urlBox.attr('value', pic.RelativeURL); $descBox.attr('value', pic.Description); */ //close buttons $data.append('<input type="button" value="Save Changes" class="saveButton" />'); $data.append('<input type="button" value="Cancel" class="cancelButton" />'); $('.saveButton').click(function() { /* pic.Name = $nameBox.attr('value'); pic.RelativeURL = $urlBox.attr('value'); pic.Description = $descBox.attr('value'); */ //make a call to my Save() method in my repository CloseOverlay(); }); $('.cancelButton').click(function() { CloseOverlay(); }); } The stuff I have commented out is what I need to accomplish and/or is not available until prior issues are resolved. Any and all advice is appreciated! Remember, I am VERY new to this stuff (two weeks, to be exact) and will probably need highly explicit instructions. BTW: overlaySetup() and CloseOverlay() are functions I have living someplace else. Thanks!

  • Juju Zookeeper & Provisioning Agent Not Deployed

    - by Keith Tobin
    I am using juju with the openstack provider, i expected that when i bootstrap that zookeeper and provisioning agent would get deployed on the bootstrap vm in openstack. This dose not seem to be the case. the bootstrap vm gets deployed but it seems that nothing gets deployed to the VM. See logs below, I may be missing something, also how is it possible to log on the bootstrap vm. Could I manual deploy, if so what do I need to do. • SEO - Google and link cleaning / cloaking [closed]

    - by Jens Törnell
    Possible Duplicate: Does the Google spider render JavaScript? This a SEO related question, not a code related one. Googles own link cleaning / cloaking Gå to http://www.google.com and search for something. Hover the title and you will se a link to the page you want to go to. The URL you see when hovering is NOT the link you are clicking on. Instead of clicking you can drag the title a little bit and then hover it. Then you will se the real URL. My own link cleaning / cloaking Go to http://jsfiddle.net/NvmER/1/ and click the link, or look at the code below. You will be "redirected" to http://www.test.com. The real link are http://www.test.com/?event=23 Working code in case jsfiddle don't work If you need to se how it works I pasted a code below. <a class="direct" href="http://www.test.com/?event=23" data-redirect="http://www.test.com">Länk</a>? $(document).ready(function() { $("a.direct").live("mousedown", function(e){ var oldurl = $(this).attr('href'); var newurl = $(this).attr('data-redirect'); $(this).attr('href', newurl); }); });? Question Is this ok with Google? It's done with javascript. If you have an answer, link to a source or test to support it.
