  • Windows Azure ASP.NET MVC Role behaves strangely when redirecting from HTTP to HTTPS

    - by Rinat Abdullin
    Subj. I've got an ASP.NET 2 MVC Worker Role Application, that does not differ much from the default template. When attempting redirect from HTTP to HTTPS (this happens when we access constroller secured by the usual RequireSSL attribute implementation) we get blank page with "Bad Request" message. IntelliTrace shows this: Thrown: "The file '/Views/Home/LogOnUserControl.aspx' does not exist." (System.Web.HttpException) Call stack is really short: [External Code] App_Web_vfahw7gz.dll!ASP.views_shared_site_master.__Render__control1(System.Web.UI.HtmlTextWriter __w = {unknown}, System.Web.UI.Control parameterContainer = {unknown}) [External Code] App_Web_bsbqxr44.dll!ASP.views_home_index_aspx.ProcessRequest(System.Web.HttpContext context = {unknown}) [External Code] User control reference is the usual one in /Views/Shared/Site.Master: <div id="logindisplay"> <% Html.RenderPartial("LogOnUserControl"); %> </div> And partial view LogOnUserControl.ashx is located in Views/Shared (and it is ASHX, not ASPX). Problem shows up, when we try to access site pages, that require auth and redirect. These pages are secured by RequireSSL attribute (Redirect == true): [AttributeUsage(AttributeTargets.Method | AttributeTargets.Class, Inherited = true, AllowMultiple = false)] public sealed class RequireSslAttribute : FilterAttribute, IAuthorizationFilter { public bool Redirect { get; set; } // Methods public void OnAuthorization(AuthorizationContext filterContext) { // this get's messy, when we are running custom ports // within the local dev fabric. // hence we disable code in the debug #if !DEBUG if (filterContext == null) { throw new ArgumentNullException("filterContext"); } if (filterContext.HttpContext.Request.IsSecureConnection) return; var canRedirect = string.Equals(filterContext.HttpContext.Request.HttpMethod, "GET", StringComparison.OrdinalIgnoreCase); if (canRedirect && Redirect) { var builder = new UriBuilder { Scheme = "https", Host = filterContext.HttpContext.Request.Url.Host, Path = filterContext.HttpContext.Request.RawUrl }; filterContext.Result = new RedirectResult(builder.ToString()); } else { throw new HttpException(0x193, "Access forbidden. The requested resource requires an SSL connection."); } #endif } } Obviously we compile in RELEASE for this case. Does anybody have any idea, what could cause this strange exception and how to get rid of it?

  • RIA: how to get functionality, not a data

    - by Budda
    On the server side I have the following class: public class Customer { [Key] public int Id { get; set; } public string FirstName { get; set; } public string SecondName { get; set; } public string FullName { get { return string.Concat(FirstName, " ", SecondName); } } } The problem is that each field is calculated and transferred to the client, for example 'FullName' property: [DataMember()] [Editable(false)] [ReadOnly(true)] public string FullName { get { return this._fullName; } set { if ((this._fullName != value)) { this.ValidateProperty("FullName", value); this.OnFullNameChanging(value); this._fullName = value; this.RaisePropertyChanged("FullName"); this.OnFullNameChanged(); } } } Instead of data transferring (that is traffic consuming, in some cases it introduces significant overhead). I would like to have a calculation on the client side. Is this possible without manual duplication of the property implementation? Thank you.

  • Parsing RSS2 In PHP

    - by mrduclaw
    I'm trying to get content from an RSS2 feed from one of my sites and use it in another site. The feed is here. And the code I'm using is taken from this nice site and has been modified like the following: $doc = new DOMDocument(); $doc->load('http://tripleax.com/john/?feed=rss2'); $arrFeeds = array(); foreach ($doc->getElementsByTagName('item') as $node) { print('<div style="width:100%" class="option"><strong>'); $a = $node->getElementsByTagName('title')->item(0)->nodeValue; print("$a"); print('</strong><br /><span class="option">'); $a = $node->getElementsByTagName('description')->item(0)->nodeValue; print("$a");` } The problem I'm having is, I want to display the entire post's contents. And the description is a sort of the teaser. Changing $node->getElementsByTagName('description')->item(0)->nodeValue to $node->getElementsByTagName('content')->item(0)->nodeValue gives me nothing, and content:encoded is no better. Can someone please point me in the right direction to solving this? Thanks!

  • Is this correct for disposing an object using IDisposable

    - by robUK
    I have a class that implements the IDisposable interface. I am using a webclient to download some data using the AsyncDownloadString. I am wondering have I correctly declared my event handlers in the constructor and within the using statement of the web client? And is this correct way to remove the event handlers in the Dispose method? Overrule is this the correct way to use the IDisposable interface? public class Balance : IDisposable { //Constructor WebClient wc; public Balance() { using (wc = new WebClient()) { //Create event handler for the progress changed and download completed events wc.DownloadProgressChanged += new DownloadProgressChangedEventHandler(wc_DownloadProgressChanged); wc.DownloadStringCompleted += new DownloadStringCompletedEventHandler(wc_DownloadStringCompleted); } } ~Balance() { this.Dispose(false); } //Get the current balance for the user that is logged in. //If the balance returned from the server is NULL display error to the user. //Null could occur if the DB has been stopped or the server is down. public void GetBalance(string sipUsername) { //Remove the underscore ( _ ) from the username, as this is not needed to get the balance. sipUsername = sipUsername.Remove(0, 1); string strURL = string.Format("https://www.xxxxxxx.com", sipUsername); //Download only when the webclient is not busy. if (!wc.IsBusy) { // Download the current balance. wc.DownloadStringAsync(new Uri(strURL)); } else { Console.Write("Busy please try again"); } } //return and display the balance after the download has fully completed void wc_DownloadStringCompleted(object sender, DownloadStringCompletedEventArgs e) { //Pass the result to the event handler } //Dispose of the balance object public void Dispose() { Dispose(true); GC.SuppressFinalize(this); } //Remove the event handlers private bool isDisposed = false; private void Dispose(bool disposing) { if (!this.isDisposed) { if (disposing) { wc.DownloadProgressChanged -= new DownloadProgressChangedEventHandler(wc_DownloadProgressChanged); wc.DownloadStringCompleted -= new DownloadStringCompletedEventHandler(wc_DownloadStringCompleted); wc.Dispose(); } isDisposed = true; } } }

  • Preset value of HTML Forms - iPhone SDK

    - by laura
    Hi. I'm trying to preset the value of a dropdown menu and the value of a text box in an HTML form. As soon as the user taps the button in my iPhone app, it enters the webview and I was hoping to preset one of the dropdown menus and text field. How do I go about this? I want to set the dropdown to value "4" and the text field to "Giro Apps" Here's the relevant HTML form code: <select id="advSrcId" class="list" onchange="showOther($('advSrcId').options[$('advSrcId').selectedIndex].value)" name="advSrcId"> <option selected="" value="">Select</option> <option value="1">Google</option> <option value="2">Facebook</option> <option value="3">Friend Referral</option> <option value="4">Other</option> </select> <div id="otherAdvsrc" style=""> <p> Please give details here: <br/> <input class="text" type="text" value="" name="advsrc"/> <br/> </p> </div> TIA!

  • Accessing Spring beans from a Tiles view (JSP)

    - by Sinuhe
    In Spring MVC I can access my beans in JSP using JstlView's exposedContextBeanNames (or exposeContextBeansAsAttributes). For example, then, in my JSP I can write (${properties.myProperty). But when the same JSP is a part of a tiles view, these properties aren't accessible. Is possible to configure Tiles properly or access these properties in another way? I'm using Spring MVC 3.0.2 and Tiles 2.2.1. Here's a bit of my configuration: <bean id="tilesViewResolver" class="org.springframework.web.servlet.view.UrlBasedViewResolver"> <property name="order" value="1"/> <property name="viewClass" value="org.springframework.web.servlet.view.tiles2.TilesView" /> </bean> <bean class="org.springframework.web.servlet.view.InternalResourceViewResolver"> <property name="viewClass" value="org.springframework.web.servlet.view.JstlView"/> <property name="order" value="2"/> <property name="prefix" value="/WEB-INF/views/"/> <property name="suffix" value=".jsp"/> <property name="exposedContextBeanNames"> <list><value>properties</value></list> </property> </bean>

  • Unit testing with Mocks when SUT is leveraging Task Parallel Libaray

    - by StevenH
    I am trying to unit test / verify that a method is being called on a dependency, by the system under test. The depenedency is IFoo. The dependent class is IBar. IBar is implemented as Bar. Bar will call Start() on IFoo in a new (System.Threading.Tasks.)Task, when Start() is called on Bar instance. Unit Test (Moq): [Test] public void StartBar_ShouldCallStartOnAllFoo_WhenFoosExist() { //ARRANGE //Create a foo, and setup expectation var mockFoo0 = new Mock<IFoo>(); mockFoo0.Setup(foo => foo.Start()); var mockFoo1 = new Mock<IFoo>(); mockFoo1.Setup(foo => foo.Start()); //Add mockobjects to a collection var foos = new List<IFoo> { mockFoo0.Object, mockFoo1.Object }; IBar sutBar = new Bar(foos); //ACT sutBar.Start(); //Should call mockFoo.Start() //ASSERT mockFoo0.VerifyAll(); mockFoo1.VerifyAll(); } Implementation of IBar as Bar: class Bar : IBar { private IEnumerable<IFoo> Foos { get; set; } public Bar(IEnumerable<IFoo> foos) { Foos = foos; } public void Start() { foreach(var foo in Foos) { Task.Factory.StartNew( () => { foo.Start(); }); } } } I appears that the issue is obviously due to the fact that the call to "foo.Start()" is taking place on another thread (/task), and the mock (Moq framework) can't detect it. But I could be wrong. Thanks

  • Stack Overflow on Marshal.PtrToStructure reading wmv files

    - by Nick Udell
    Hi, I'm using a frame grabber class in order to capture and process each frame in a video. The class can be found here: http://www.codeproject.com/KB/graphics/FrameGrabber.aspx I'm having issues with running it, however. When loading the file, it attempts to marshal a video format pointer into a VideoInfoHeader (I'm using DirectShow.Net). The code that does this is as follows: videoInfo = (VideoInfoHeader)Marshal.PtrToStructure(mediaType.formatPtr, typeof(VideoInfoHeader)); When I run this it immediately crashes out of the debugging environment, probably with a stack overflow. When stepping through I can see that the formatPtr always equals 93, though I do not know what to make of this as I am fairly new to marshalling. I have checked that the video runs fine in Windows Media Player. This is essential in finding the dimensions of the video and also the size of the header, which needs to be skipped before the frames can be read. I am running Windows 7 x64. Any help on this would be much appreciated, I must've tried fifteen different frame grabbing techniques.

  • Using Android AsyncTask to download html file

    - by Lukas Tomsu
    i just started with android and i'm working on a simple app that should download contents of a html file. I'm using AsyncTask as suggested, but i'm encountering one problem. In the following code (i followed a tutorial code), i get tv cannot be resolved for the onPostExecute method. How to access the downloaded file? Thank You: public class FlashResults extends Activity { @Override public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); TextView tv = new TextView(this); setContentView(tv); readWebpage(tv); } protected class DownloadPage extends AsyncTask<String, Void, String> { protected String doInBackground(String... urls) { String responseStr = null; try { for (String url : urls) { DefaultHttpClient httpClient = new DefaultHttpClient(); HttpGet get = new HttpGet(url); HttpResponse httpResponse = httpClient.execute(get); HttpEntity httpEntity = httpResponse.getEntity(); responseStr = EntityUtils.toString(httpEntity); } } catch (UnsupportedEncodingException e) { } catch (ClientProtocolException e) { } catch (IOException e) { } return responseStr; } protected void onPostExecute(String result) { tv.setText(result); } } public void readWebpage(View v) { DownloadPage task = new DownloadPage(); task.execute(new String[] { "http://seznam.cz" }); } }

  • ASP.NET Model Binder and base type

    My model inherits from an interface: public interface IGrid { ISearchExpression Search { get; set; } . . } public interface ISearchExpression { IRelationPredicateBucket Get(); } The model: public class Project : IGrid { public ISearchExpression Search { get; set; } public Project() { this.Search = new ProjectSearch(); } } The ProjectSearch: public class ProjectSearch: ISearchExpression { public string Name { get; set; } public string Number { get; set; } public IRelationPredicateBucket Get() {...} } And the strong typed partialview in the main view: <%@ Control Language="C#" Inherits="System.Web.Mvc.ViewUserControl<ProjectSearch>" %> <%= Html.TextBoxFor(x=>x.Name)%> <%= Html.TextBoxFor(x => x.Number)%> .... When I submit the form, the Search property don't get bound properly. Everything is empty.The action takes an argument of ProjectSearch type. Why the Search don't get bound as supposed ?

  • How to get the ui:param value in Javabean

    - by mihaela
    Hello, I am learning facelets and Seam and I'm facing the following problem: I'm have 2 xhtml files, one includes the other and each one has its own Seam component as backing bean. I want to send and object to the included facelet and obtain that object in the backing bean corresponding to the included facelet. I'll take an example to explain better the situation: registration.xhtml with Seam component as backing bean Registration.java. In this class I have an object of type Person address.html with Seam component as backing bean Address.java. In this class i want to obtain the Person object from the Registration component and set the address. registration.xhtml includes the address.xhtml and passes an object using How to obtain this object in Address bean? Will be the same reference of the object from the Registration bean? is the solution of passing this object or there is another solution for that? (maybe f:attribute, but even in this case how do I obtain the object in bean) This example is simple and not necessarily realistic but I have a similar problem and I don't know how to solve it. Thanks in advance.

  • Entity Framework Custom Query Function

    - by Josh
    I have an Entity Framework 4.0 Entity Object called Revision w/ Nullable DateEffectiveFrom and DateEffectiveTo dates. I was wondering if there was a short-hand way of querying an object's RevisionHistory based on a particular QueryDate date instead of having to use the following query structure: var results = EntityObject.Revisions.Where(x => (x.DateEffectiveFrom == null && x.DateEffectiveTo == null) || (x.DateEffectiveFrom == null && x.DateEffectiveTo >= QueryDate) || (x.DateEffectiveFrom <= QueryDate && x.DateEffectiveTo == null) || (x.DateEffectiveFrom <= QueryDate && x.DateEffectiveTo >= QueryDate)); I've tried creating the following boolean function in the Revision class: partial class Revision { public bool IsEffectiveOn(DateTime date) { return (x.DateEffectiveFrom == null && x.DateEffectiveTo == null) || (x.DateEffectiveFrom == null && x.DateEffectiveTo >= date) || (x.DateEffectiveFrom <= date && x.DateEffectiveTo == null) || (x.DateEffectiveFrom <= date && x.DateEffectiveTo >= date)); } ... } And then updating the query to: var results = EntityObject.Revisions.Where(x => x.IsEffectiveOn(QueryDate)); but this obviously doesn't translate to SQL. Any ideas would be much appreciated.

  • raw_id_fields for modelforms

    - by nbv4
    I have a modelform which has one field that is a ForeignKey value to a model which as 40,000 rows. The default modelform tries to create a select box with 40,000 options, which, to say the least is not ideal. Even more so when this modelform is used in a formset factory! In the admin, this is easiely avoidable by using "raw_id_fields", but there doesn't seem to be a modelform equivalent. How can I do this? Here is my modelform: class OpBaseForm(ModelForm): base = forms.CharField() class Meta: model = OpBase exclude = ['operation', 'routes'] extra = 0 raw_id_fields = ('base', ) #does nothing The first bolded line works by not creating the huge unwieldy selectbox, but when I try to save a fieldset of this form, I get the error: "OpBase.base" must be a "Base" instance. In order for the modelform to be saved, 'base' needs to be a Base instance. Apparently, a string representation of a Base primary key isn't enough (at least not automatically). I need some kind of mechanism to change the string that is given my the form, to a Base instance. And this mechanism has to work in a formset. Any ideas? If only raw_id_fields would work, this would be easy as cake. But as far as I can tell, it only is available in the admin.

  • Is there a better way to refresh WebView?

    - by cdg
    Hi all. Ok. I have looked EVERYWHERE and my little brain just can't understand a better way to refresh an activity. Any suggestions that I can understand would be great. :) Here is the java code: package com.dge.dges; import android.app.Activity; import android.content.Intent; import android.os.Bundle; import android.view.View; import android.webkit.WebView; import android.widget.Button; public class dgeActivity extends Activity { WebView mWebView; /** Called when the activity is first created. */ @Override public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); setContentView(R.layout.main); mWebView = (WebView) findViewById(R.id.webview); mWebView.getSettings(); mWebView.loadUrl("http://www.websitehere.php"); Button newButton = (Button)findViewById(R.id.new_button); newButton.setOnClickListener(new View.OnClickListener() { public void onClick(View v) { Intent intent = new Intent(dgeActivity.this, dgeActivity.class); startActivity(intent); } }); } } And here is the main.xml <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <RelativeLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:id="@+id/RelativeLayout" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:background="#000000" > <WebView android:id="@+id/webview" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:scrollbars="none" /> <Button android:id="@+id/new_button" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_alignParentBottom="true" android:layout_centerHorizontal="true" android:text="Refresh" /> </RelativeLayout> I don't like the idea of just re-stacking activity after activity. There has to be an easier way to refresh the webview. Please help. :)

  • Android: forward search queries to one single activity that handles search

    - by Stefan Klumpp
    I have an activity handling search (ACTIVITY_1), which works perfectly when I use the search (via SEARCH button on the phone) within/from this activity. However, when I use search from another activity (ACTIVITY_2..x) by implementing onNewIntent and forward the query string to my Search_Activity.class (ACTIVITY_1) @Override protected void onNewIntent(Intent intent) { Log.i(TAG, "onNewIntent()"); if (Intent.ACTION_SEARCH.equals(intent.getAction())) { Log.i(TAG, "===== Intent: ACTION_SEARCH ====="); Intent myIntent = new Intent(getBaseContext(), Search_Activity.class); myIntent.setAction(Intent.ACTION_SEARCH); myIntent.putExtra(SearchManager.QUERY, intent.getStringExtra(SearchManager.QUERY)); startActivity(myIntent); } } it always pauses ACTIVITY_2 first and then goes to onCreate() of ACTIVITY_2. Why does it recreate my ACTIVITY_2 when it is already there and doesn't go to onNewIntent directly? Is there another way I can forward search queries directly to ACTIVITY_1? For example via a setting in the Manifest.xml Is it possible to generally forward all search queries automatically to ACTIVITY_1 without even implementing onNewIntent in all the other activities? Currently I have to put an <intent-filter> in every single activity to "activate" my custom search there and forward the query then to the activity that handles search via the onNewIntent (as shown above). <activity android:name=".Another_Activity" android:theme="@style/MyTheme"> <intent-filter> <action android:name="android.intent.action.SEARCH" /> <category android:name="android.intent.category.DEFAULT" /> </intent-filter> <meta-data android:name="android.app.searchable" android:resource="@xml/searchable" /> </activity>

  • Object created in Interface Builder getting dealloc'ed too soon

    - by Collin Allen
    The Project I'm working on a relatively simple iPhone OS project that's navigation controller based, with a root table view and a detail table view. Tap an item in the main list to see its details in a pushed table view. The Setup I broke out the data source for both views into their own objects so as not to muddy the purpose of a view controller. Having done this, the table views no longer have data sources since those methods are now in separate files, so I created an instance of each data source class in the appropriate XIB files with the Object item (dragged it in, then set its class). Then, to actually connect the tableviews to their data sources, I set the dataSource outlet of each tableview to the yellow data source object in Interface Builder. The table view delegates are still set to their view controllers. The Problem The root table view works just fine, but when you tap a row to push to the detail view, the data source object gets instantiated as expected, then immediately dealloc'ed, causing a crash (numberOfSectionsInTableView: gets called on the freed object). I can't figure out why the data source is getting automatically dealloc-ed when I need it right then and there for the detail view, as indicated by my data source object creation and tableview connection in Interface Builder. What's more perplexing is that the very approach works fine for the root tableview! The Question Is there anything obvious I'm missing that would cause this to happen? Or, is this even the right way to instantiate a data source for a table view controller? It seems like poor object oriented programming to do it from within the view controller, which should only be concerned with the view. I could cram everything in two table view controller classes and it would probably work, but it would not be as modular as I'd like. Thanks!

  • GWT CssResource Customization

    - by Eric Landry
    I'm writing a GWT widget using UIBinder and MVP. The widget's default styles are defined in TheWidgetView.ui.xml: <ui:style type="com.widgetlib.spinner.display.TheWidgetView.MyStyle"> .textbox { border: 1px solid #red; } .important { font-weight: bold; } </ui:style> The widget's CssResource interface is defined in TheWidgetView.java: public class TheWidgetView extends HorizontalPanel implements TheWidgetPresenter.Display { // ... some code @UiField MyStyle style; public interface MyStyle extends CssResource { String textbox(); String important(); } // ... more code } I'd like the consumer of this widget to be able to customize part of the widget's styles and to have this in their MyExample.ui.xml: <ui:style type="com.consumer.MyExample.MyStyle"> .textbox { border: 2px solid #black; } </ui:style> And this be their MyExample.java: public class MyExample extends Composite { // ... some code @UiField MyStyle style; interface MyStyle extends TheWidgetView.MyStyle{ String textbox(); } // ... more code } Is there a way that my widget can have default styles, but that the consumer of the widget can override one of them? When an interface extends TheWidgetView.MyStyle, the of the widget consumer needs to define all the styles listed in that parent interface. I've seen some widget libraries have the widget's constructor take in a ClientBundle as parameter, which I suppose could apply to CssResource. Although, I'm not sure how I'd pass in this style object in a constructor invoked by UIBinder. Thanks much in advance!

  • CssClass and default images in ServerContol

    - by Jeff Dege
    I'm writing a ServerControl in ASP.NET 3.5, and I'm exposing CssClass, so the user can manipulate the visual appearance of the control. My problem is that I want to establish reasonable defaults, so that the user doesn't have to configure CSS unless he wants to change the defaults. My specific problem is that my control is emitting html divs, that need to display background images. I want the user to be able to specify a different image in CSS, but I want to display a default background image, and I can't make that work. The entire server control is emitted as a div, with a class name set to the value the user provided in CssClass. The div that needs the background image is enclosed within this outer div, with a class name of its own. I am currently setting the background image in CSS on the page that contains the control: <style type="text/css"> .cssClass .innerDiv { background-image: url("http://...."); } </style> With this the proper image is drawn. But if it's not there, no image is drawn. What I want is for the ServerControl to emit some CSS that will define these image urls, that would be over-ridden by any css that was added by the user, and for that default CSS to include URLs to images embedded in the ServerControl's assembly. And I'm not sure of how to do either. Nor, for that matter, am I sure this is the best approach. Any ideas?

  • Is it okay to implement reference counting through composition?

    Most common re-usable reference counted objects use private inheritance to implement re-use. I'm not a huge fan of private inheritance, and I'm curious if this is an acceptable way of handling things: class ReferenceCounter { std::size_t * referenceCount; public: ReferenceCounter() : referenceCount(NULL) {}; ReferenceCounter(ReferenceCounter& other) : referenceCount(other.referenceCount) { if (!referenceCount) { referenceCount = new std::size_t(1); other.referenceCount = referenceCount; } else { ++(*referenceCount); } }; ReferenceCounter& operator=(const ReferenceCounter& other) { ReferenceCounter temp(other); swap(temp); return *this; }; void swap(ReferenceCounter& other) { std::swap(referenceCount, other.referenceCount); }; ~ReferenceCounter() { if (referenceCount) { --(*referenceCount); if (!*referenceCount) delete referenceCount; } }; operator bool() const { return referenceCount && (*referenceCount != 0); }; }; class SomeClientClass { HANDLE someHandleThingy; ReferenceCounter objectsStillActive; public: SomeClientClass() { //Construct handle thingy } ~SomeClientClass() { if (objectsStillActive) return; //Release resources }; }; or are there subtle problems with this I'm not seeing?

  • ClassCastException while using service

    - by Sebi
    I defined a local Service: public class ComService extends Service implements IComService { private IBinder binder = new ComServiceBinder(); public class ComServiceBinder extends Binder implements IComService.IServiceBinder { public IComService getService() { return ComService.this; } } public void test(String msg) { System.out.println(msg); } @Override public IBinder onBind(Intent intent) { return binder; } } The corresponding interface: public interface IComService { public void test(String msg); public interface IServiceBinder { IComService getService(); } } Then i try to bind the service in another activity in another application, where the same interface is available: bindService(new Intent("ch.ifi.csg.games4blue.gamebase.api.ComService"), conn, Context.BIND_AUTO_CREATE); and private ServiceConnection conn = new ServiceConnection() { @Override public void onServiceConnected(ComponentName name, IBinder service) { Log.i("INFO", "Service bound " + name); comService = ((IComService.IServiceBinder)service).getService(); serviceHandler.sendEmptyMessage(0); } @Override public void onServiceDisconnected(ComponentName arg0) { Log.i("INFO", "Service Unbound "); } }; but the line comService = ((IComService.IServiceBinder)service).getService(); always throws a 05-02 22:12:55.922: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(622): java.lang.ClassCastException: android.os.BinderProxy I can't explain why, I followed the app sample on http://developer.android.com/resources/samples/ApiDemos/src/com/example/android/apis/app/LocalServiceBinding.html Any hints would be nice!

  • struts2 trim all string obtained from forms

    - by aelkin
    Hi All, I develop web application using struts2. I want to improve getting string from forms. For this need trim all string and if obtained string is empty then set null to field. For this, I created StringConverter. public class StringConverter extends StrutsTypeConverter { @Override public Object convertFromString(Map context, String[] strings, Class toClass) { if (strings == null || strings.length == 0) { return null; } String result = strings[0]; if (result == null) { return null; } result = result.trim(); if (result.isEmpty()) { return null; } return result; } @Override public String convertToString(Map context, Object object) { if (object != null && object instanceof String) { return object.toString(); } return null; } } Next, I added row to xwork-conversion.properties java.lang.String=com.mypackage.StringConverter Thats all. But I did not get the desired result. convertToString() method is called when jsp build form, but convertFromString() doesn't invoke. What I do wrong? How can I get the same behaviour using another way? Please, not offer solutions such as: remove the value of such form elements using javascript. create util method which will make it using reflection. Then call it for each form bean. Thanks in advance, Alexey.

  • How to remove the file suffix/extension (.jsp and .action) using the Stripes Framework?

    - by Dolph Mathews
    I'm looking to use pretty / clean URL's in my web app. I would like the following URL: http://mydomain.com/myapp/calculator .. to resolve to: com.mydomain.myapp.action.CalculatorActionBean I tried overwriting the NameBasedActionResolver with: public class CustomActionResolver extends NameBasedActionResolver { public static final String DEFAULT_BINDING_SUFFIX = "."; @Override protected String getBindingSuffix() { return DEFAULT_BINDING_SUFFIX; } @Override protected List<String> getActionBeanSuffixes() { List<String> suffixes = new ArrayList<String>(super.getActionBeanSuffixes()); suffixes.add(DEFAULT_BINDING_SUFFIX); return suffixes; } } And adding this to web.xml: <servlet-mapping> <servlet-name>StripesDispatcher</servlet-name> <url-pattern>*.</url-pattern> </servlet-mapping> Which gets me to: http://mydomain.com/myapp/Calculator. But: A stray "." is still neither pretty nor clean. The class name is still capitalized in the URL..? That still leaves me with *.jsp..? Is it even possible to get rid of both .action and .jsp?
