• Spring validation has error in XML document from ServletContext resource

  I applied spring validation in my registration page .but the follwing error are shown in my server log of my app engine server. javax.servlet.UnavailableException: org.springframework.beans.factory.xml.XmlBeanDefinitionStoreException: Line 22 in XML document from ServletContext resource [/WEB-INF/spring/appServlet/servlet-context.xml] is invalid; nested exception is org.xml.sax.SAXParseException; lineNumber: 22; columnNumber: 30; cvc-complex-type.2.4.c: The matching wildcard is strict, but no declaration can be found for element 'property'. • drawRect gets called on UIView subclass but not on UIViewController

  My code is working so far but I had to create a Class for the UIView. This is a bit inconvenient because I need to interact with the ViewController too. BTW, I did try [self setNeedsDisplay] on the ViewDidLoad of the UIViewController subclass file but it didn't work. Here's the code, which works on UIView Subclass but doesn't get called on a UIViewController one: - (void)drawRect:(CGRect)rect { UIColor *currentColor = [UIColor redColor]; CGContextRef context = UIGraphicsGetCurrentContext(); someNum = 1; CGContextBeginPath(context); CGContextMoveToPoint(context, 30, 40); [self addDotImageX:30 andY:40]; CGContextSetLineWidth(context, 2); CGContextSetStrokeColorWithColor(context, currentColor.CGColor); CGContextStrokePath(context); } Any ideas on what to try? BTW, this is a TabBar App. I know those can somehow block the calls to drawRect. The Tabs where created programatically, not through a Nib.   Not sure if what I am trying is possible or not, but I'd like to reuse a linq expression on an objects parent property. With the given classes: class Parent { int Id { get; set; } IList<Child> Children { get; set; } string Name { get; set; } } class Child{ int Id { get; set; } Parent Dad { get; set; } string Name { get; set; } } If i then have a helper Expression<Func<Parent,bool> ParentQuery() { Expression<Func<Parent,bool> q = p => p.Name=="foo"; } I then want to use this when querying data out for a child, along the lines of: using(var context=new Entities.Context) { var data=context.Child.Where(c => c.Name=="bar" && c.Dad.Where(ParentQuery)); } I know I can do that on child collections: using(var context=new Entities.Context) { var data=context.Parent.Where(p => p.Name=="foo" && p.Childen.Where(childQuery)); } but cant see any way to do this on a property that isnt a collection. This is just a simplified example, actually the ParentQuery will be more complex and I want to avoid having this repeated in multiple places as rather than just having 2 layers I'll have closer to 5 or 6, but all of them will need to reference the parent query to ensure security.

  I am working on a c# project using ASP .net. I have a list of reports with a hyperlink for each, which calls the web server, retrieves a PDF and then returns the PDF for the user to save or open: ASPX page: <table> <tr> <td> <a href="#" onclick="SubmitFormToOpenReport();">Open Report 1</a> <td> </tr> ... </table> ASP.Net: context.Response.Clear(); context.Response.AddHeader("content-disposition", "attachment;filename=report.pdf"); context.Response.Charset = ""; context.Response.ContentType = "application/pdf"; context.Response.BinaryWrite(myReport); context.Response.Flush(); This works as expected, however I would like it to also refresh the page with an updated list. I am having trouble as the single request/response is returning the report. Is there a way to refresh the page as well? While there is a correct response, feel free to include answers which details alternative solutions/ideas for doing this.

From my domain object I have to invoke a Web Service Client and in order to get a reference to the Web Service client I do this: ApplicationContext context = new ClassPathXmlApplicationContext("client-ws.xml"); //b'cos I don't want to use WebApplicationContextUtils ProductServiceClient client = (ProductServiceClient) context.getBean("productClient"); .. client.find(prodID); //calls a Web Service .. However, I have concerns that looking up the client-ws.xml file and getting a reference to the ProductServiceClient bean is not efficient. I thought of getting it using WebApplicationContextUtils. However, I don't want my domain objects to have a dependency on the ServletContext (a web/control layer object) because WebApplicationContextUtils depends on ServletContext. What is the best way to get a reference to a spring bean in the backend layers? Thanks!

• Android ProgressDialog inside another dialog

  I'm working on a game using AndEngine, and I need to show the users the list of his Facebook friends. I've created my custom Adatper and after the loading finishes everything works great. I have a problem with the loading it self. The ListView is inside a custom dialog, since I don't really know how to create one using AndEngine, So inside this dialog, I'm running an AsyncTask to fetch the friends' info, in that AsyncTask I'm have a ProgressDialog. The problem is, the ProgressDialog shows up behind the dialog that contains the to-be list (which while loading, is just the title). I can see the ProgressDialog "peeking" behind that dialog.. Any Ideas?   I have to send out letters to certain clients and I have a standard letter that I need to use. I want to replace some of the text inside the body of the message with variables.   I read from < Essential ASP.NET with Examples in C# the following statement: Another useful property to know about is the static Current property of the HttpContext class. This property always points to the current instance of the HttpContext class for the request being serviced. This can be convenient if you are writing helper classes that will be used from pages or other pipeline classes and may need to access the context for whatever reason. By using the static Current property to retrieve the context, you can avoid passing a reference to it to helper classes. For example, the class shown in Listing 4-1 uses the Current property of the context to access the QueryString and print something to the current response buffer. Note that for this static property to be correctly initialized, the caller must be executing on the original request thread, so if you have spawned additional threads to perform work during a request, you must take care to provide access to the context class yourself. I am wondering about the root cause of the bold part, and one thing leads to another, here is my thoughts: We know that a process can have multiple threads. Each of these threads have their own stacks, respectively. These threads also have access to a shared memory area, the heap. The stack then, as I understand it, is kind of where all the context for that thread is stored. For a thread to access something in the heap it must use a pointer, and the pointer is stored on its stack. So when we make some cross-thread calls, we must make sure that all the necessary context info is passed from the caller thread's stack to the callee thread's stack.   Running Maven, Eclipse, and Weblogic, when I try to Run As Server onto my local server, I get this error: "Cannot find the declaration of element 'beans'. at mvc-dispatcher-servlet.xml" Then, when I go back into the xml, select all, copy, delete, and paste, error goes away and I'm able to run the web app just fine on the server. • Graph not following orientation

  so I am trying to draw some grid lines that in landscape go all the way down to the bottom, however when I switch to landscape the the graph doesn't follow and the grid lines go smaller. If I only need to update Field1 of the Orders table for some rows based on a condition and Field2 for some other rows based on a different condition then what changes I need to do? 2.)   I am trying to register an interceptor using a annotation-driven controller configuration. As far as I can tell, I've done everything correctly but when I try testing the interceptor nothing happens.   Ok, this is my problem. I'm doing a logonscript that basically copies Microsoft Word templates from a serverpath on to a local path of each computer. This is done using a check for group membership. But, if a user is member of more than one group, the /MIR switch removes the content from the first group, since it's mirroring the content from the second group. Meaning, I can't have both contents. This is "solved" by not using the /MIR switch and just let the content get copied anyway. BUT the whole idea of having the templates on a server is so that I can control the content the users receive through the script. So if I delete a file or folder from the server path, this doesn't replicate on the local computer. Since I don't use the /MIR switch anymore. Comprende? So, what do I do? I did a small script that basically checks the folders and files and then removes them accordingly, but this actually ended up being the same functionality as the /MIR switch anyway. How do I solve this problem? Edit: I've found that what I actually need is a routine that scans my local template folder for files and folders and checks if the same structure exists in any of the source template folders. The server template folders are set up like this: \\fileserver\templates\group1\ \\fileserver\templates\group2\ \\fileserver\templates\group3\ \\fileserver\templates\group4\ \\fileserver\templates\group5\ \\fileserver\templates\group6\ And the script that does the copying is structures like this (pseudo): If User is MemberOf (group1) Then RoboCopy.exe \\fileserver\templates\group1\ c:\templates\workgroup *.* /E /XO End if If User is MemberOf (group2) Then RoboCopy.exe \\fileserver\templates\group2\ c:\templates\workgroup *.* /E /XO End if If User is MemberOf (group3) Then RoboCopy.exe \\fileserver\templates\group3\ c:\templates\workgroup *.* /E /XO End if Etc etc With the /E switch, I make sure it copies subfolders as well. And the /XO switch only copies files and folders that are newer than those in my local path. But it doesn't consider if the local path contains files or folders that doesn't exist on the server template path. So after the copying is done, I would like to check if any of the files or folders on my c:\templates\workgroup actually exists in either of the sources. And if they don't, delete them from my local path. Something that could be combined in these memberchecks perhaps?

• Where to put default-servlet-handler in Spring MVC configuration

  In my web.xml, the default servlet mapping, i.e. /, is mapped to Spring dispatcher. In my Spring dispatcher configuration, I have DefaultAnnotationHandlerMapping, ControllerClassNameHandlerMapping and AnnotationMethodHandlerAdapter which allows me to map url to controllers either by its class name or its @Requestmapping annotation. However, there are some static resources under the web root which I also want spring dispatcher to serve using default servlet. According to Spring documentation, this can be done using <mvc:default-servlet-handler/> tag. In the configuration below, there are 4 candidate locations that I marked which are possible to insert this tag. Inserting the tag in different location causes the dispatcher to behave differently as following : Case 1 : If I insert it at location 1, the dispatcher will no longer be able to handle mapping by the @RequestMapping and controller class name but it will be serving the static content normally. Cas 2, 3 : It will be able to handle mapping by the @RequestMapping and controller class name as well as serving the static content if other mapping cannot be done successfully. Case 4 : It will not be able to serve the static contents.   I've written the following code that works fine if you decide to scan a QR code (using zxing) and store it in private storage but in case you decide to cancel scanning, it crashes and the file previously stored content disappears. I think it might be a design error, not sure why. • Strange results - I obtain same value for all keys

  I have a problem with mapreduce. Giving as input a list of song ("Songname"#"UserID"#"boolean") i must have as result a song list in which is specified how many time different useres listen them... so a output ("Songname","timelistening"). I used hashtable to allow only one couple . With short files it works well but when I put as input a list about 1000000 of records it returns me the same value (20) for all records.
