  • Silverlight: Set Items Widths in ItemsControl to Stretch

    - by Tom Allen
I've got an ItemsControl which fills from top to bottom, but I can't get it's child items to occupy the whole width of the ItemsControl: I basically need to stretch the green bits to fill the width of the control (as shown by the blue bits). I've tried things like setting the HorizontalAlignment property of the template item to Stretch and I've even tried binding it's Width property to the ItemsControl Width, but neither worked. Should be a straight forward one, but it's something I just can't quite figure out...

  • java.lang.ClassNotFoundException using google commons

    - by pie154
I have two classes inside a package. Both call a method from another class, one works perfectly fine and the other gives the error java.lang.ClassNotFoundException and the error java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/google/common/base/Predicate The class path should be the same for both as they are in he same package so I can't figure out why one has access to the class and the other doesn't? thanks in advance for any help given.

  • Trouble binding command in grid menu item.

    - by Pete
    I have a grid that's inside a usercontrol derived class called MediatedUserControl. I'm adding a context menu to let the user delete an item, but I've been unable to figure out how to bind the command to my command property. I'm using MVVM and my viewmodel implements a public ICommand property called DeleteSelectedItemCommand. However, when the view is displayed, I get the following message in the output window: System.Windows.Data Error: 4 : Cannot find source for binding with reference 'RelativeSource FindAncestor, AncestorType='BRO.View.MediatedUserControl', AncestorLevel='1''. BindingExpression:Path=DataContext.DeleteSelectedItemCommand; DataItem=null; target element is 'BarButtonItem' (HashCode=6860584); target property is 'Command' (type 'ICommand') I feel like I generally have a good handle on bindings like this and can't figure out what it is I'm missing here. Thanks for any help you can provide. <dxg:GridControl HorizontalAlignment="Left" Margin="12,88,0,0" x:Name="gridControl1" VerticalAlignment="Top" Height="500" Width="517" DataSource="{Binding ItemList}" BorderBrush="{StaticResource {x:Static SystemColors.ActiveBorderBrushKey}}" ShowBorder="True" Background="{StaticResource {x:Static SystemColors.ControlLightBrushKey}}" UseLayoutRounding="False" DataContext="{Binding}"> <dxg:GridControl.Columns> <dxg:GridColumn FieldName="Code" Header="Code" Width="107" /> <dxg:GridColumn FieldName="Name" Header="Item" Width="173" /> <dxg:GridColumn FieldName="PricePerItem" Header="Unit Price" Width="70"> <dxg:GridColumn.EditSettings> <dxe:TextEditSettings DisplayFormat="N2" /> </dxg:GridColumn.EditSettings> </dxg:GridColumn> <dxg:GridColumn FieldName="Quantity" Header="Qty" Width="50" AllowEditing="True" /> <dxg:GridColumn FieldName="TotalPrice" Header="Total Price" Width="90"> <dxg:GridColumn.EditSettings> <dxe:TextEditSettings DisplayFormat="N2" /> </dxg:GridColumn.EditSettings> </dxg:GridColumn> </dxg:GridControl.Columns> <dxg:GridControl.View> <dxg:TableView ShowIndicator="False" ShowGroupPanel="False" MultiSelectMode="Row" AllowColumnFiltering="False" AllowBestFit="False" AllowFilterEditor="False" AllowEditing="False" AllowGrouping="False" AllowSorting="False" AllowResizing="False" AllowMoving="False" AllowMoveColumnToDropArea="False" AllowDateTimeGroupIntervalMenu="False" > <dxg:TableView.RowCellMenuCustomizations> <dxb:BarButtonItem Name="deleteRowItem" Command="{Binding RelativeSource={RelativeSource FindAncestor, AncestorType=view:MediatedUserControl, AncestorLevel=1}, Path=DataContext.DeleteSelectedItemCommand}"> </dxb:BarButtonItem> </dxg:TableView.RowCellMenuCustomizations> </dxg:TableView> </dxg:GridControl.View>

  • Using Subversive to move the head back one revision

    - by Fadi Chalfoun
Using Eclipse/Subversive I commanded it to delete a branch of mine. Unfortunately it also took the liberty of wiping out my trunk folder. SVN isn't my strong suit so I am trying to figure out how to get Subversive to move it's head back one revision so the trunk/branch that was deleted re-appears again. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

  • PulpCore music playback - loop sound and animate volume

    - by Peter Perhác
I have been experimenting with PulpCore, trying to create my own tower defence game (not-playable yet), and I am enjoying it very much I ran into a problem that I can't quite figure out. I extended PulpCore with the JOrbis thing to allow OGG files to be played. Works fine. However, pulpCore seems to have a problem with looping the sound WHILE animating the volume level. I tried this with wav file too, to make sure it isn't jOrbis that breaks it. The code is like this: Sound bgMusic = Sound.load("music/music.ogg"); Playback musicPlayback; ... musicVolume = new Fixed(0.75); musicPlayback = bgMusic.loop(musicVolume); //TODO figure out why it's NOT looping when volume is animated // musicVolume.animate(0, musicVolume.get(), FADE_IN_TIME); This code, for as long as the last line is commented out, plays the music.ogg again and again in an endless loop (which I can stop by calling stop on the Playback object returned from loop(). However, I would like the music to fade in smoothly, so following the advice of the PulpCore API docs, I added the last line which will create the fade-in but the music will only play once and then stop. I wonder why is that? Here is a bit of the documentation: Playback pulpcore.sound.Sound.loop(Fixed level) Loops this sound clip with the specified volume level (0.0 to 1.0). The level may have a property animation attached. Parameters: level Returns: a Playback object for this unique sound playback (one Sound can have many simultaneous Playback objects) or null if the sound could not be played. So what could be the problem? I repeat, with the last line, the sound fades in but doesn't loop, without it it loops but starts with the specified 0.75 volume level. Why can't I animate the volume of the looped music playback? What am I doing wrong? Anyone has any experience with pulpCore and has come across this problem? Anyone could please download PulpCore and try to loop music which fades-in (out)? note: I need to keep a reference to the Playback object returned so I can kill music later.

  • How to check if TcpClient Connection is closed?

    - by Superdumbell
I'm playing around with the TcpClient and I'm trying to figure out how to make the Connected property say false when a connection is dropped. I tried doing NetworkStream ns = client.GetStream(); ns.Write(new byte[1], 0, 0); But it still will not show me if the TcpClient is disconnected. How would you go about this using a TcpClient?

  • Object Naming without Hungarian?

    - by EdOxH
Mostly because of reading this site, I'm trying to move away from Hungarian Notation. Or I guess the improper (system) Hungarian. I can figure out a better way to name most data types, but I don't know what to do with objects. What would be a good naming convention for objects? I use objRS for recordsets now. Would I just use rs?

  • Testing for javascript alerts with Capybara

    - by Dhruv
I'm using Cumcumber + capybara + selenium to run automated testing, but I'm having trouble finding a way to assert that a javascript alert is displayed. This question seems has a solution with selenium, but I can't figure out how to call the selenium object using Capybara. Is there a simple way to test for alerts using Capybara? Or is there a workaround?

  • Is it possible to transcode audio in C# using DirectSound?

    - by Robert Davis
I want to transcode a lot of audio from its source format to PCM without resampling or messing with the sample size. I figure if Windows Media Player can play the file and it doesn't use a legacy ACM codecs it must be using DirectSound to do so (this is on Windows XP and Windows Server 2k3). So is it possible to access DirectSound from C# and do so? I've tried searching the web but all the examples have been about playback which I have no interest in doing.

  • Simple cropping with Paperclip

    - by collimarco
    I would like to crop images on upload using Paperclip to get square thumbs from the center of the original picture. I find out a method in documentation that seems to do exactly what I want: transformation_to(dst, crop = false) The problem is that I can't figure out where to use this method. It would be great to simply pass something as a parameter here: has_attached_file :picture, :styles = { :medium = "600x600", :thumb = "something here" }

  • Apply an Animation on a Drawable in Android

    - by Casebash
I am adding a glow animation effect to a logo. So far, I have managed to get the glow image behind the logo, using a LayeredDrawable, but I can't figure out how to animate it. I have found that AlphaAnimation would achieve the desired effect, but unfortunately I can only apply it on Views, not Drawables. How can I achieve this effect?

  • Mercurial/.hgignore - How do I ignore everything but the contents of a folder?

    - by Beibin
I have a NetBeans project and the Mercurial repository is in the project root. I would like it to ignore everything except the contents of the "src" and "test" folders, and .hgignore itself. I'm not familiar with regular expressions and can't come up with one that will do that. The ones I tried: (?!src/.*) (?!test/.*) (?!^.hgignore) (?!src/.|test/.|.hgignore) These seem to ignore everything, I can't figure out why. Any advice would be great.

  • Get the path of the .dmg from the mount point

    - by wbg
I'm looking for a way to get the .dmg path of a mounted disk image with just its mount point. I want to write a "simple" Finder service that ejects the disk image and trashes the accompanying .dmg. The ejecting is trivial, but I'm at a loss as to how to figure out the path of the .dmg, given just the mount point. diskutil doesn't seem to know or isn't saying. It's for a script, so AppleScript- or shell-based suggestions are preferred.

  • Use only alpha channel of texture in OpenGL?

    - by Chris
Hey, I'm trying to draw a constant color to the framebuffer and blend it using the alpha channel from an RGBA texture. I've been looking at glBlendFunc and glBlendColor, but can't seem to figure out a way to ignore the RGB values from the texture. I'm thinking I'll have to pull out the alpha values myself and make a second texture with GL_ALPHA. Is there a better way to do this? Thanks!
