Hi,
I have a string "hello [world] this {is} a (test)" I want to remove all text in braces, e.g. returning "hello this a". But only if the braces match.
Anyone have a nice neat solution?
Is there a CSS library which mimics the iPhone grouped UITableView?
I want to build a nice looking table which looks exactly like the grouped UITableView. As there are multiple text styles within the each line of text, and I don't need any interactivity except scrolling, it seems it would be easier to build with HTML and display it in a UIWebView. Is there a css library which matches this need?
Hi everyone,
I have google analytics on my site.
One page has a button which when pressed executes some javascript.
It would be nice to monitor the number of hits the button receives when people come to this page.
Can anybody suggest the easiest way to achieve this with google analytics ?
Are there any best practices to do this ?
thanks
i had very nice dev. env. - clojure, maven and jetty with hot deploy. now i moved to google appengine and i can not figure out how to configure maven achieve hot deploy
Sure you could divide the remaining file size by the current download speed, but if your download speed fluctuates (and it will), this doesn't produce a very nice result. What's a better algorithm for producing smoother countdowns?
I'm planning to buy CryptoLicensing but before buying it I'd like to get some feedbacks if anyone tried it before. Also it'd be interesting if anyone cracked it or spotted an easy hack against it.
I've seen some other SO questions regarding the choosing a .NET licensing component but if you currently happy with another component it'd be nice to hear your experience. It's just quite hard to nail this without going through a long trial.
I'm going to use Selenium RC to replay some tests for a website. I want to kickoff those tests from a Java test framework so that I get nice reports how many tests failed, etc.
Which java test framework should I use? Is JUnit the preferred framework for this purpose?
I had some very strange problems with GraphicsGrid.
The individual PraphPlot:s looks nice and ok, but the code
GraphicsGrid[{{GraphPlot[{{a -> b, "ab"}, {a -> c,
"7"}}]}, {GraphPlot[{{a -> b, "5"}, {a -> c, "2"}}]}}]
just produces 2 big clots of garbage. If I remove the edge labels, everything works as expected. I am using Mathematica 7.0.0.
Preferably with visual illustrations... MSDN just lists class-names and what I really want to see is which versions of MFC have nice modern functionality like dockable toobars, collapsible windows, and other graphical niceties.
Does such a 'visual catalog' exist? From MSDN it's not always clear even what each class does without a pretty picture.
It turns out our slaves spend a considerable amount of time moving the archived artifacts back to the master Hudson node. It at least triples the duration of the build. It would be nice if there would be a way to prevent it. However, setting the maximum number of builds to keep doesn't have an influence at all. Is there another way to prevent sending the results back to the central Hudson master?
Want to add a nice multiple image upload feature to a site so I figured use one that most people already know. This is a .Net MVC App
Anyone know what Facebook uses?
If not, then does anyone know of one that is similar?
I am just wondering if you are supposed to write a sort of really secure application with data being transmitted over insecure networks, what kind of encryption algorithm will you use it in order to make it safe ? I know several c++ libraries for encryption providing nice functions with different algorithms, but i'm not quite sure which cipher to use - AES, DES, RSA, Blowfish or maybe something more different ?
Please provide your ideas and suggestions. Thank you.
I want to use a method of an object.
Like $myObject->helloWorld().
However there are a couple of methods so I loop through an array of method names and call the method like this:
my $methodName ="helloWorld";
$myObject->$methodNames;
This works quite nice but some objects don't have all methods.
How can I tell whether $myObject has a method called helloWorld or not?
Hello,
I tried Google Guice the first time and find it very nice.
But, when I reached the part of Built-in Bindings I do not understand the examples.
For me it looks like I can use it for logging like an interceptor, but I don't know how.
Could someone of you explain this type of Binding and how I can use it? And maybe (if it's possible) use it for logging?
I want to streamline my library on FreeBsd using PUID from MusicBrainz. I need a command line utility for this, but I have not been able to find. It would be nice to give input mp3-file and receive PUID as result.
Hi,
Google reveals rather old reports. How is the current situation?
It would be nice to have percentage figures by framework version.
Thanks in advance,
Katey
Is there a simple way of making the static content of an .aspx page multi-lingual? Resource files are nice for controls but it's quite hard and annoying to write big chunks of html in them. Any easier ways?
At the bottom of this image, you'll see a nice colorbar that matches the colors of the graph correctly:
http://stribog.cc.umanitoba.ca/ceos/20100517_00z_prod/
I couldn't find anything that created a color bar with exactly the colors I wanted, it always seemed to involve a spectrum that included colors I didn't use.
I have a vector of colors I use for my data. Is there I way I can use that vector to create a color bar with only those colors?
I wrote a small MATLAB program with a gui. Inside the gui I have, among other things, a plot in which the user should be able to select two points. For this I use the function ginput, which creates a crosshair for selection. Unfortunatley the crosshair extends the whole window and is not restricted to the plot, which doesn't look nice and is confusing for the user. How can the crosshair be restricted only to the area of the plot?
I would like to write application which will iterate trough certain test cases and generated output in HTML file.
For this i would like to have something using which i can keep appending the HTML nodes to the output for each test case. Is there nice way in .NET for doing so ? How ?
Any pointers or suggestions will be helpful.
Hello,
I have worked with Sql Server in past and used it's very nice feature called Sql Full Text Search. Now i have to work with MySql. Can anybody tell me what is equivalent of Full Text Search in MySql? I am using free edition of MySql and not a commercial one. If not, then what else can we do to mimic Full Text Search and get over the limitations of LIKE operator?
Thanks in advance :)
Is it a good way to use JQuery UI themes while implementing a high traffic website. Is it easy to edit and customize a little based on my website needs? Does it has any famous problems? want to hear your ideas about it and is it safe to use or its better to write all my CSS from scratch.
Note that i checked the themes there and found there nice and some of them after some edits will fit the design we have.
Hey there,
Is there some way of getting optional parameters with C++ Macros? Some sort of overloading would be nice too. It doesnt seem as if there is? I couldnt find any method anyway.
Thanks in advance!
There are many similar questions, but apparently no perfect match, that's why I'm asking.
I'd like to split a random string (e.g. 123xx456yy789) by a list of string delimiters (e.g. xx, yy) and include the delimiters in the result (here: 123, xx, 456, yy, 789).
Good performance is a nice bonus. Regex should be avoided, if possible.
Hello,
the XML i would like to transform contains something like 7.3248378E7, which is not supported natively by the XSL-FO processor (ends up in NaN in the PDF file). Is there a nice way (which is the opposite of a dirty hack) to convert this number format?
Thanks a lot.
