  If I change the type to const char str[Len], I get the following error: error: no matching function for call to ‘static_strlen(const char [5])’ Am I correct that static_strlen expects an array of const char references? My understanding is that arrays are passed as pointers anyway, so what need is there for the elements to be references?   Hi I'm developing a phonegap + JQueryMobile app, which should be correctly executed on Android, iOs and WindowsPhone as well. I need to exploit an external service wich requires one callback url to redirect the app to in case of success, and one in case of error (pretty common situation. In my case both will be local files, say www/success.html and www/error.html). Of course I could write different paths for each device (e.g. file:///android_asset/www/success.html on Android), but i'm wondering if the framework provide a more simple elegant solution. So the questions is, how can i get a unique absolute URL wich allows me to perform a cross-platform HTTP redirection from a remote web page to a local file within a phonegap application? Thanks

• Is it possible to use flashvars with JBoss?

  Hi, I'm part of a team developing a product using JSF 2.0 and I was asked to investigate the possibility of including FusionCharts free in the app. I have tried different ways of inserting a simple chart in a JSF page but with no luck. On of the methods involves using the elements OBJECT and EMBED but hhen I try to use them I get a "null source" error from JBoss. From what I could find online (through Google), I am under the impression that 'flashvars' isn't quite compatible with JBoss. Is anyone here able to confirm this? If this is the case, what workaround would you suggest me? Other ways I also found online didn't show the chart not even an error message. Thanks in advance.

• Reading data from a socket

  I am having issues reading data from a socket. Supposedly, there is a server socket that is waiting for clients to connect. When I write a client to connect() to the server socket/port, it appears that I am connected. But when I try to read() data that the server is supposedly writing on the socket, the read() function hangs until the server app is stopped. Why would a read() call ever hang if the socket is connected? I believe that I am not ever really connected to the socket/port but I can't prove it, b/c the connect() call did not return an error. The read() call is not returning an error either, it is just never returning at all.

• Problems with sp_addlinkedserver in MSSQL 2000

  Hi! I'm having a bit of a problem with moving specific data from one server running MSSQL 2000 (A) and another running MSSQL 2008 (B). I'm writing a script according to customer specifications which is to be executed on A, populating tables in B with data. However, I can't seem to get the server link to work. -- Bunch of declarations here EXEC sp_addlinkedserver @server = @ServerName, @srvproduct = @ServerProduct, @provider = @ProviderString, @datasrc = @RemoteHost -- Data migration stuff here EXEC sp_dropserver @ServerName Now if I run the script in its entirety I get an error saying: Msg 7202, Level 11, State 2, Line 55 Could not find server 'remoteServer' in sysservers. Execute sp_addlinkedserver to add the server to sysservers. However, if I higlight only the sp_addlinkedserver-part and execute that, there is no error and I can highlight the rest of the script and run it. What am I missing here? Please help! PS. If backup-restore was an option, I would have done that already.

  I'm writing a wrapper program that loads Winamp input plugins. I've got it working well so far with quite a few plugins, but for some others, I get an error message at runtime when I attempt to call LoadLibrary on the plugin's DLL. (It seems to happen mostly with plugins that were included with Winamp.) A dialog appears and gives me the error code and message above. This happens, for example, with the in_flac.dll and in_mp3.dll plugins (which come with Winamp). Any ideas on how I can remedy this situation?

• SQL Server Agent 2005 job runs but no output

  Essentially I have a job which runs in BIDS and as as a stand lone package and while it runs under the SQL Server Agent it doesn't complete properly (no error messages though). The job steps are: 1) Delete all rows from table; 2) Use For each loop to fill up table from Excel spreasheets; 3) Clean up table. I've tried this [MS page][1] (steps 1 & 2), didn't see any need to start changing from Server side security. Also SQLServerCentral.com for [this page][2], no resolution. How can I get error logging or a fix? Note I've reposted this from Server Fault as it's one of those questions that's not pure admin or programming. I have logged in as the proxy account I'm running this under, and the job runs stand alone but complains that the Excel tables are empty?

• Checked equivalent to IllegalArgumentException?

  I have a method that takes an enum as a parameter and returns some information dependent on that parameter. However, that enum contains some values which should not be handled, and should raise an error condition. Currently the method throws an IllegalArgumentException but I would like this to be a checked exception to force callers to catch it (and return gracefully, logging an error). Is there something suitable or should I create my own Exception subclass? I'm open to other patterns as well. A reasonable reaction would be that all values of the enum should be handled, but that isn't the case. When a new value is added to the enum, I want to make sure that this method does the right thing - alerting a human is preferable to using some default return value in this case. Thanks for any advice.

• Problem with GCC calling static templates functions in templated parent class.

  I have some code that compiles and runs on MSVC++ but will not compile on GCC. I have made a test snippet that follows. My goal was to move the static method from BFSMask to BFSMaskSized. Can someone explain what is going on with the errors (esp. the weird 'operator<' error)? Thank you. I need that when I have no ID in the DB to show "ERROR". I have also tried to use rescue ActiveRecord::RecordNotFound but same happens. All help is appreciated.

  Hi, I have/(had) windows xp on one partition of my hdd. on second i installed ubuntu 9.10 yesterday. and after reboot of windows xp i get error "GRUB LOADING.". now i know that you can play around with that using live GRUB and all. putting GRUB on top of MBR or etc etc. something like that. i want to know - if i reinstall Ubuntu 10.04 which is available now - will it give me still the same error? or i will be able to use both OS? (i.e. is that problem solved in version 10.04 or still there? and if it is solved reinstallation of ubuntu will solve the problem or not?) anyhelp is welcome. Thanks

  I am using OpenJPA 2.2.0 and when I am executing a select statement I am getting "Column index out of range, 0 < 1" error. • NullPointerException when trying to run an applet of multiple classes

  I'm trying to display an applet in an html page. I've had success doing this in the past, but now that I have more than one class in the applet, I seem to get an error every time I try to load the applet in an html page. For a bit, I was writing the html page by hand, but then I realized the applet viewer in netbeans (the IDE I'm coding in) created an html page for you, which is the same as the one I was coding. The application runs error-free when in the applet viewer, but the following message is displayed when I try to run it in the html page: java.lang.NullPointerException at sun.plugin2.applet.Plugin2Manager.findAppletJDKLevel(Unknown Source) at sun.plugin2.applet.Plugin2Manager.createApplet(Unknown Source) at sun.plugin2.applet.Plugin2Manager$AppletExecutionRunnable.run(Unknown Source) at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source) Exception: java.lang.NullPointerException I tested another small, one class applet and it ran fine in the html page under the same conditions. • Invalid Token when using XPath

  Hi I am making a modification to a web application using XPath, and when executed I get an error message - Invalid token! This is basic what I am doing public xmlNode GetSelection (SelectParams params, xmldocument docment) { xpathstring = string.format("Name =\'{0}' Displaytag = \'{1}' Manadatory=\'{2}', params.Name, params.Displaytag, params.Manadatory); return document.selectsinglenode(xpathstring); } As you can see, I am making a string and setting values on the nodes I am trying to find against my xml document, and thus returning xml data that matches my parameters. What is happening is that I am getting an xpathexeception error in Visual Studio and it says invalid token. I do know that in the xml document that the parameters I am looking in the tags have double quotes, for example, Name="ABC". So, I thought the problem could be solved using an "\". Can anyone help? Update from comments In the Xml Document, the tag has attributes where they are set as Name="ABC" Displaytag="ATag" Manadatory="true".

• C#: Problem trying to resolve a class when two namespaces are similar

  I'm running into an issue where I can't make a reference to a class in a different namespace. I have 2 classes: namespace Foo { public class Class1 { ... } } namespace My.App.Foo { public class Class2 { public void SomeMethod() { var x = new Foo.Class1; // compile error! } } } The compile error is: The type or namespace name 'Class1' does not exist in the namespace 'My.App.Foo' In this situation, I can't seem to get Visual Studio to recognize that "Foo.Class1" refers to the first class. If I mouse-over "Foo", it shows that its trying to resolve that to "My.App.Foo.Class1" If I put the line: using Foo; at the top of the .cs file that contains Class2, then it also resolves that to "My.App.Foo". Is there some trick to referencing the right "Foo" namespace without just renaming the namespaces so they don't conflict? Both of these namespaces are in the same assembly.

  I'm working on a legacy VB6 app here at work, and it has been a long time since I've looked at VB6 or ADO. One thing the app does is to executes SQL Tasks and then to output the success/failure into an XML file. If there is an error it inserts the text the task node. What I have been asked to do is try and do the same with the other mundane messages that result from succesfully executed tasks, like (323 row(s) affected). There is no command object being used, it's just an ADODB.Connection object.   hellow all i am using svn for version control for an iphone application . i have created it from xcode repositories by giving url ,user name and password its authenticated .After that i have created a directory from there itself and have imported my project there. Then i have checked out to the local directory and have updated something in it. Click on commit changes. It done. After that i came to terminal to commit the project first time from terminal .There i have removed the build of the project then gave a command like "svn update". here i am getting error like svn: PROPFIND request failed on '/svn/pacman/GameDevelopment/Game'and 403 Forbidden error whts going wrong here? could any one help me in this ? The code may look something like this: CALL MyBatchFile.bat "$(fileVersion.ProductVersion($(var.My Application.TargetPath)))" But this results in the following error: Unhandled Exception:The expression """.My Application" cannot be evaluated. • importing modules in app engine

  Ive asked this before, but it seems i wasnt clear/detailed enough and after a week of trying im still struggling so i will try again. i am trying to use, oauth2 and ply on app engine. i have tried copying their directories into my app engine project directory (in the form ply-3.4 or brosner-python-oauth2-82a05f9) and i have tried copying the specific sub directory contained within the aforemention one. (ply or oauth2) i have tried saying import oauth2, from brosner-oauth2_python-82a05f9 import oauth and other variations on the theme, but i still cant get it to work nothing has worked. i have tried including them in app.yaml, but that seemed to create an even bigger error as my entire project wouldnt even run when i tried that. and now i have run out of things to try. the error log i am getting is as follows.
