• Testing PayPal certificate on a different domain

  I have a PP-enabled site that needs to be tested. I've already tested it with Sandbox credentials and it works ok. The next step is to test it with live PayPal credentials on test server. Here I hit a wall, because using real credentials from liveserver.com on test.liveserver.com gives me error of "malformed url" (which as I read stands for "invalid credentials"). And here is the question: are PayPal credentials domain-bound? Can I get error message because I am using live api credentials on a subdomain(different domain)?

• JRuby 1.7.0 will not install bundler given plenty of memory

  I installed jruby with rvm install jruby-1.7.0 and it ran out of memory when it tried to create the gemsets so I started by trying to install bundler with the new version and this is what I get ~>gem install bundler Error: Your application used more stack memory than the safety cap of 2048K. Specify -J-Xss####k to increase it (#### = cap size in KB). Specify -w for full StackOverflowError stack trace So I moved up the memory and I still got nothing with a huge chunk of memory ~>JRUBY_OPTS=-J-Xss1024m gem install bundler Error: Your application used more stack memory than the safety cap of 1024M. • IE Display bug - solved when using the "developer tools"?

  I have some Javascript/CSS issues with IE (no suprises?). So when I see the error in IE8, I go to Tools Developer Tools. Then I navigate to the correct DIV. I click on it, look around ... then I look again at my page, and the problem is fixed! This makes debugging pretty difficult... To see the display error, go to http://www.makemeheal.com/mmh/home.do in IE, and look at the "Your Recent History" module.

• PHP won't parse MySQL statements

  I just installed Apache 2.2.15/PHP 5.3.2/MySQL 5.1.44 on Windows Vista. Apache is working fine, PHP is functional, and MySQL works on the CLI. However, when I try to access MySQL via PHP, I get an error (Fatal error: Call to undefined function mysql_connect()). extension=php_mysql.dll and extension=php_mbstring.dll are uncommented in the php.ini file, and PHP is in the system path. There is no libmysql.dll in either the top level PHP directory or the ext directory. There's a libmySQL.dll file in the MySQL bin directory (which is also in the system path); I tried renaming it, but that doesn't do anything Also, in case anyone wants to know, I originally installed PHP using the MSI installer, but it was missing some DLLs, so I installed from the zip file. I think I've exhausted all my options. Any help on this problem would be very appreciated. Thanks in advance.

• How to handle JPA annotations for a pointer to a generic interface

  I have a generic class that is also a mapped super class that has a private field that holds a pointer to another object of the same type: @MappedSuperclass public abstract class MyClass<T extends MyIfc<T>> implements MyIfc<T> { @OneToOne() @JoinColumn(name = "previous", nullable = true) private T previous; ... } My problem is that Eclipse is showing an error in the file at the OneToOne "Target Entity "T" for previous is not an Entity." All of the implementations of MyIfc are, in fact, Entities. I should also add that each concrete implementation that inherit from MyClass uses a different value for T (because T is itself) so I can't use the "targetEntity" attribute. I guess if there is no answer then I'll have to move this JPA annotation to all the concrete subclasses of MyClass. It just seems like JPA/Hibernate should be smart enough to know it'll all work out at run-time. Makes me wonder if I should just ignore this error somehow.

• C#: Problem trying to resolve a class when two namespaces are similar

  I'm running into an issue where I can't make a reference to a class in a different namespace. I have 2 classes: namespace Foo { public class Class1 { ... } } namespace My.App.Foo { public class Class2 { public void SomeMethod() { var x = new Foo.Class1; // compile error! } } } The compile error is: The type or namespace name 'Class1' does not exist in the namespace 'My.App.Foo' In this situation, I can't seem to get Visual Studio to recognize that "Foo.Class1" refers to the first class. If I mouse-over "Foo", it shows that its trying to resolve that to "My.App.Foo.Class1" If I put the line: using Foo; at the top of the .cs file that contains Class2, then it also resolves that to "My.App.Foo". Is there some trick to referencing the right "Foo" namespace without just renaming the namespaces so they don't conflict? Both of these namespaces are in the same assembly.

  My requirement is I have several tabs and one of the tabs uses rich:extendedDataTable. If sortby is clicked in the page where table is used and if I navigate to another page, it looks for the bean of the old page and throws an error saying that sortyBy of the column is undefined. For eg if iused sortBy on userId in tab1( where the table column must have had sortBy=#{data.userId}) and then i click on tab2 , it looks for the data.userId and thorws an error. I am using richfaces 3.2.2SR1 version. can you help me on this.

Everything works fine with windows authentication but when I change the authentication to form based the login process get fails.   I'm trying to get content from external feeds on my Django web site with Universal Feed Parser. I want to have some user error handling, e.g. if the user supplies a URL that is not a feed. When I tried how feedparser responds to faulty input, I was surprised to see that feedparser does not throw any Exceptions at all. E.g. on HTML content, it tries to parse some information from the HTML code, and on non-existing domains, it returns a mostly empty dictionary: {'bozo': 1, 'bozo_exception': URLError(gaierror(-2, 'Name or service not known'),), 'encoding': 'utf-8', 'entries': [], 'feed': {}, 'version': None} Other faulty input manifest themselves in the status_code or the namespaces values in the returned dictionary. So, what's the best approach to have sane error checking without resorting to an endless cascade of if .. elif .. elif ...?

• CLR Function not working in restored database

  So I've restore a database with CLR assemblies in it from one physical server to another. One of the functions in the CLR assembly essentially does an uncompress of some compressed data. When I run this function against data in the restored database it returns the compressed data (rather than the uncompressed data). No error is thrown in SSMS or in the SQL server error logs. At the suggestion of others, I've checked differences in the database ownership (both owned by sa), trustworthiness (both set to not trustworthy). I also checked differences in the .NET framework installs on both machines but found only that the target machine had a 1.1 version installed that the source didn't. I don't know what else to try.   Hi I am trying to create a new snapshot view on my machine and i am using the following procedure: creating the view using ct mkview -snapshot -tag testview -vws /home/store/testview.vws /home/view/testview here the view gets created but fails to register which i register using the ct update on this /home/view/testview location tried to change the configspec using ct edcs & but got error "cleartool: Error: Cannot get view info for current view: not a ClearCase object." explicitly modifying the config_spec using vi editor, and the updating the view ends up creating a log...but no files are copied :( Can someone please direct me as to where i am going wrong?
