  We have a statement., that is inserting some rows in a temporary table (say e.g., 10 rows), while inserting 5th row, it has some issue with one of the column format and giving an error and then it stopped inserting the rows. What I want is, it should skip the error rows and insert valid rows.   I'm struggling with a reshape in R. I have 2 types of error (err and rel_err) that have been calculated for 3 different models. This gives me a total of 6 error variables (i.e. err_1, err_2, err_3, rel_err_1, rel_err_2, and rel_err_3). For each of these types of error I have 3 different types of predivtive validity tests (ie random holdouts, backcast, forecast). I would like to make my data set long so I keep the 4 types of test long while also making the two error measurements long.   On our development sql server, executing any query containing more than approximately 700 characters stalls for about 10 seconds and then reports the following error: Msg 121, Level 20, State 0, Line 0 A transport-level error has occurred when receiving results from the server. (provider: TCP Provider, error: 0 - The semaphore timeout period has expired.) for example, this query select * from FooTable where id = ' (.. and then 700 spaces ..) ' fails fails with the timeout error while this one select * from FooTable where id = ' (.. and then 600 spaces ..) ' fails with the expected Msg 8169, Level 16, State 2, Line 1 Conversion failed when converting from a character string to uniqueidentifier. - immediately. Indeed, throwing any query, including random garbage at our dev sql server exhibits this behaviour, while any other sql server I have available acts as expected, so I would think that the query never actually gets to parsing on the server. I'm at a loss here - any hints?

• Can't get node.js built on cygwin

  Following the instructions here: https://github.com/ry/node/wiki/Building-node.js-on-Cygwin-(Windows) I've tried installing on two machines, either of which I'd be happy to get up and running. • Process.WaitForExit not triggering with __debugbreak

  I'm trying to write a program to test student code against a good implementation. I have a C++ console app that will run one test at a time determined by the command line args and a C# .net forms app that calls the c++ app once for each test. The goal is to be able to detect not just pass/fail for each test, but also "infinite" (5secs) loop and exceptions (their code dying for whatever reason). The problem is that not all errors kill the C++ app. If they corrupt the heap the system calls __debugbreak which pops up a window saying Debug Error! HEAP CORRUPTION DETECTED... My C# app is using Process.WaitForExit(5000) to wait, but this error doesn't count as an exit, so I see a timeout. So my question is, how can I either get the C# app to detect that this is an error OR how can I get the C++ app to die when this error occurs rather than giving a dialog box and asking if I want to debug?

  I am creating a program in C++ in which I need to read a text file in. I have included the fstream header file, which allows me to open the file, but having added the include, I now receive countless errors relating to math.h functions. Examples: 1>c:\program files\microsoft visual studio 10.0\vc\include\cmath(19): error C2061: syntax error : identifier 'acosf' 1>c:\program files\microsoft visual studio 10.0\vc\include\cmath(19): error C2059: syntax error : ';' Is there any way I can include the text file reading functions of fstream without compromising the math.h functions? And why does this conflict occur anyway? /Edit/ It seems the errors are in the cmath standard header file. It is nothing I have access to, but for the sake of completion, here is the code that is causing the errors: using _CSTD acosf; using _CSTD asinf; using _CSTD atanf; using _CSTD atan2f; using _CSTD ceilf; (etcetera)

  I made an autogenerated movie clip using JES (Jython Environment for Students). I can play it without any problem using playMovie(), but I can't figure out how to have it saved physically on disk.   I have meteor method that does an insert. Im using Regulate.js for form validation. I set the game_id field to Meteor.uuid() to create a unique value that I also route to /game_show/:game_id using iron router. As you can see I'm logging the details of the game, this works fine.   I narrowed the causes of an AS3 compiler error 1119 down to code that looks similar to this: var test_inst:Number = 2.953; trace(test_inst); trace(test_inst.constructor); I get the error "1119: Access of possibly undefined property constructor through a reference with static type Number." Now if I omit the variable's type, I don't get that error: var test_inst = 2.953; trace(test_inst); trace(test_inst.constructor); it produces the expected output: 2.953 [class Number] So what's the deal? I like explicitly typing variables, so is there any way to solve this error other than not providing the variable's type?

• "Invalid use of Null" when using Str() with a Null Recordset field, but Str(Null) works fine

  I'm banging my head against the wall on this one. I was looking at some old database reporting code written in VB6 and case across this line (the code is moving data from a "source" database into a reporting database): rsTarget!VehYear = Trim(Str(rsSource!VehYear)) When rsSource!VehYear is Null, the above line generates an "Invalid use of Null" run-time error. If I break on the above line and type the following in the Immediate pane: ?rsSource!VehYear It outputs Null. Fine, that makes sense. Next, I try to reproduce the error: ?Str(rsSource!VehYear) I get an "Invalid use of Null" error. However, if I type the following into the Immediate window: ?Str(Null) I don't get an error. It simply outputs Null. If I repeat the same experiment with Trim() instead of Str(), everything works fine. ?Trim(rsSource!VehYear) returns Null, as does ?Trim(Null). No run-time errors. So, my question is, how can Str(rsSource!VehYear) possibly throw an "Invalid use of Null" error when Str(Null) does not, when I know that rsSource!VehYear is equal to Null?

Is there a way to have terminate also kill the subshell created by os.system()?

  I have a form in one controller(A) that renders a partial from another controller(B), and stays on A's edit page during editing / updating etc. However... When the partial form form controller B has an error, the error doesn't show up on A's edit page right now, if there is an error, I am doing (in controller B's update method) redirect_to :controller => "A", :action => "edit" and then this is built in... but I don't know what to do with it... the error needs to be sent to controller A... but.. it doesn't format.xml { render :xml => @varFromB.errors, :status => :unprocessable_entity } thanks

I'm wondering if I need to set up individual IPs for each site, possibly? I have 2 more IPv4 and 3 IPv6 addresses available, if that would make a difference. Also, in the grand scheme of things, I will need to enable SSL for the first site. I've been reading that I'll need to basically just mimic the directives for listening on port 80, only on port 443, and make sure mod_ssl is enabled? EDIT: I just ran apache2 -t to test the config files that way, and got the error: apache2: bad user name ${APACHE_RUN_USER}. However, apachectl configtest returns Syntax OK. There are no other mentions of errors with the mutex anywhere else, however. I was pretty sure if there was an error with the user apache was supposed to run under, the server wouldn't start at all... EDIT 2: Restarting apache fixed the bad user name error.

• Joomla contact form doesn't pass W3C validation

  Hi, I get the following error when I try to validate a contact page on my site: document type does not allow element "script" here The element named above was found in a context where it is not allowed. This could mean that you have incorrectly nested elements -- such as a "style" element in the "body" section instead of inside "head" -- or two elements that overlap (which is not allowed). One common cause for this error is the use of XHTML syntax in HTML documents. Due to HTML's rules of implicitly closed elements, this error can create cascading effects. For instance, using XHTML's "self-closing" tags for "meta" and "link" in the "head" section of a HTML document may cause the parser to infer the end of the "head" section and the beginning of the "body" section (where "link" and "meta" are not allowed; hence the reported error). I am using Joomla 1.5.7, and the doctype is <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> Any idea how to fix this?
