  Hi, I am developing one application using C# for processing MSWord files. My application gets hang when I pass invalid .doc file as an input. For example, if I have one foo.pdf file and I pass it to my application after changing its extension (foo.doc). Is it possible to check whether file is valid doc file before trying to open it? • iphone sdk - why is the video returned not full res?

  im developing an app for the iphone and im able to get a video using a UIImagePickerController the problem is that the video thats returned by the UIImagePickerControllerMediaURL is not full resoultion -- its only 480 x 360 as opposed to 640 x 480 like the videos that sync to my itunes. -please someone tell me this is not a limitation of the current sdk? - how can i work around it and is there a way to set the uiimage picker so its taking full res video?

  In Android 2.2 (Level 7) the function PowerManager.IsScreenOn() returns a boolean that is true if the screen is turned on and false if the screen is turned off. I am developing code for Android 1.5 (Level 3). How do I accomplish the same task in older versions of Android? I do not want to turn the screen on or off in my code. I just want to know what it is.

  Hi all i want to know there a limitation in size for an iphone to display an image? as the resolution of iphone is 320*480 px. i am developing an app which fetches photos from an URL and that URL contains some photos os size 600KB.So when i launch the app in simulator it behaves properly but in device the application crashes as soon as photos with higher resolution are displayed , and when lower resolution photos are displayed the app does not crash in the device.
