  • WPF DataGrid bind data between columns

    - by Markus2k
Lets say I have 2 columns in my data Grid: Column A: Selected, and Column B: Name. The Selected column is a checkbox. And Name column is text field. I want to set the color of the text in 'Name' column as Blue if Column A's check box is checked, and Red otherwise. Essentially I don't know how to bind data between columns of the datagrid. And sample code/link providing example would be useful.

  • Core Data deleteObject: sets attributes to nil

    - by SG1
I am implementing an undo/redo mechanism in my app. This works fine for lots of cases. However, I can't undo past deleteObject:. the object is correctly saved in the undo queue, and I get it back and reinsterted into the Core Data stack just fine when calling undo. The problem is that all it's attributes are getting set to nil when I delete it. I have an entity "Canvas" with a to-many relationship called "graphics" to a "Graphic" entity, which has its inverse set to "canvas". Deleting a Graphic, then inserting it back, doesn't work. Here's the code (the redo method is basically the same): - (void)deleteGraphic:(id)aGraphic { //NSLog(@"undo drawing"); //Prepare the undo/redo [self.undoManager beginUndoGrouping]; [self.undoManager setActionName:@"Delete Graphic"]; [[self.detailItem valueForKey:@"graphics"] removeObject:aGraphic]; [[self managedObjectContext] deleteObject:aGraphic]; //End undo/redo [self.undoManager registerUndoWithTarget:self selector:@selector(insertGraphic:) object:aGraphic]; [self.undoManager endUndoGrouping]; NSLog(@"graphics are %@", [self sortedGraphics]); //Update drawing [self.quartzView setNeedsDisplay]; } and here's the wierdness: Before delete: graphics are ( <NSManagedObject: 0x1cc3f0> (entity: Graphic; id: 0x1c05f0 <x-coredata:///Graphic/t840FE8AD-F2E7-4214-822F-7994FF93D4754> ; data: { canvas = 0x162b70 <x-coredata://A919979E-75AD-474D-9561-E0E8F3388718/Canvas/p20>; content = <62706c69 73743030 d4010203 04050609 0a582476 65727369 6f6e5424 746f7059 24617263 68697665 7258246f 626a6563 7473>; frameRect = nil; label = nil; order = 1; path = "(...not nil..)"; traits = "(...not nil..)"; type = Path; }) After redo: graphics are ( <NSManagedObject: 0x1cc3f0> (entity: Graphic; id: 0x1c05f0 <x-coredata:///Graphic/t840FE8AD-F2E7-4214-822F-7994FF93D4754> ; data: { canvas = nil; content = nil; frameRect = nil; label = nil; order = 0; path = nil; traits = nil; type = nil; }), You can see it's the same object, just totally bleached by Core Data. The relationship delete rouls apparently have nothing to do with it as I've set them to "No Action" in a test.

  • Cocoa Core data filename?

    - by RW
I followed Apple's example for creating a managed object which btw was great... http://developer.apple.com/cocoa/coredatatutorial/index.html However I now want to know what "name" (filename) the user saved his data as. Does anyone know how to pull the filename from the core data object. something like this would be great... NSLog (@"the filename is %@", [coreData filename]); Any ideas?

  • Replication - User defined table type not propogating to subscriber

    - by Aamod Thakur
I created a User defined table type named tvp_Shipment with two columns (id and name) . generated a snapshot and the User defined table type was properly propogated to all the subscribers. I was using this tvp in a stored procedure and everything worked fine. Then I wanted to add one more column created_date to this table valued parameter.I dropped the stored procedure (from replication too) and also i dropped and recreated the User defined table type with 3 columns and then recreated the stored procedure and enabled it for publication When i generate a new snapshot, the changes in user defined table type are not propogated to the subscriber. The newly added column was not added to the subscription. the Error messages: The schema script 'usp_InsertAirSa95c0e23_218.sch' could not be propagated to the subscriber. • How to access core data objects from Javascript?

    - by Eli
How can I gain access to Core Data objects from Javascript/WebKit on Mac OS X? I've made custom subclasses of NSManagedObject for each of my tables, with accessors defined using @property/@dynamic for each attribute, but neither isSelectorExcludedFromWebScript: or isKeyExcludedFromWebScript: is called for any of them, so Javascript just stops when I try to access any of the attributes. It returns 'undefined' if I access it as a property (eg business.name ) and javascript execution stops if I access it as a function (eg business.name() ).

  • iPhoneOS Core Data migration: moving something from an entity into a file

    - by Tim Sullivan
I have a scenario where I'm moving the contents of a blob stored in a core data entity into a file. I need a way to export that data during a migration, where I know the entity that's being converted and save the blob to a file, writing the location of that file into the converted entity's appropriate attribute. I can't seem to find a way to do this. The docs regarding the Three Stage Migration seem to indicate what can be done, but I'm not sure where to define things, or what exactly to define.

  • Core Data: fetch an NSManagedObject by its properties

    - by niklassaers
Hi guys, I have an object NetworkMember that has no attributes but is defined by its relationships Person, Network, Level and Role. In my app, I've found all the four relationships, but I want to make sure not to double-register my NetworkMember, thus I'd like to search for this NSManagedObject before instantiating it. How should I write a query that queries for an NSManagedObject just consisting of relationships? Cheers Nik

  • core data and paging

    - by Joo Park
I have a database of 50,000 records. I'm using core data to fetch records from a search. A search could return 1000 records easily. What is needed to page through these records using core data and uitableview? I would like to show 100 records at a time and have 'load more' button after viewing 100 records.

  • Stubbing a before_filter with RSpec

    - by TheDelChop
Guys, I'm having trouble understanding why I can't seem to stub this controller method :load_user, since all of my tests fail if I change the actual implementation of :load_user to not return and instance of @user. Can anybody see why my stub (controller.stub!(:load_user).and_return(@user)) seems to fail to actually get called when RSpec makes a request to the controller? require 'spec_helper' describe TasksController do before(:each) do @user = Factory(:user) sign_in @user @task = Factory(:task) User.stub_chain(:where, :first).and_return(@user) controller.stub!(:load_user).and_return(@user) end #GET Index describe "GET Index" do before(:each) do @tasks = 7.times{Factory(:task, :user = @user)} @user.stub!(:tasks).and_return(@tasks) end it "should should find all of the tasks owned by a user" do @user.should_receive(:tasks).and_return(@tasks) get :index, :user_id = @user.id end it "should assign all of the user's tasks to the view" do get :index, :user_id = @user.id assigns[:tasks].should be(@tasks) end end #GET New describe "GET New" do before(:each) do @user.stub_chain(:tasks, :new).and_return(@task) end it "should return a new Task" do @user.tasks.should_receive(:new).and_return(@task) get :new, :user_id = @user.id end end #POST Create describe "POST Create" do before(:each) do @user.stub_chain(:tasks, :new).and_return(@task) end it "should create a new task" do @user.tasks.should_receive(:new).and_return(@task) post :create, :user_id = @user.id, :task = @task.to_s end it "saves the task" do @task.should_receive(:save) post :create, :user_id = @user.id, :task = @task end context "when the task is saved successfully" do before(:each) do @task.stub!(:save).and_return(true) end it "should set the flash[:notice] message to 'Task Added Successfully'"do post :create, :user_id = @user.id, :task = @task flash[:notice].should == "Task Added Successfully!" end it "should redirect to the user's task page" do post :create, :user_id = @user.id, :task = @task response.should redirect_to(user_tasks_path(@user.id)) end end context "when the task isn't saved successfully" do before(:each) do @task.stub(:save).and_return(false) end it "should return to the 'Create New Task' page do" do post :create, :user_id = @user.id, :task = @task response.should render_template('new') end end end it "should attempt to authenticate and load the user who owns the tasks" do context "when the tasks belong to the currently logged in user" do it "should set the user instance variable to the currently logged in user" do pending end end context "when the tasks belong to another user" do it "should set the flash[:notice] to 'Sorry but you can't view other people's tasks.'" do pending end it "should redirect to the home page" do pending end end end end class TasksController < ApplicationController before_filter :load_user def index @tasks = @user.tasks end def new @task = @user.tasks.new end def create @task = @user.tasks.new if @task.save flash[:notice] = "Task Added Successfully!" redirect_to user_tasks_path(@user.id) else render :action => 'new' end end private def load_user if current_user.id == params[:user_id].to_i @user = User.where(:id => params[:user_id]).first else flash[:notice] = "Sorry but you can't view other people's tasks." redirect_to root_path end end end Can anybody see why my stub doesnt' work? Like I said, my tests only pass if I make sure that load_user works, if not, all my tests fail which makes my think that RSpec isn't using the stub I created. Thanks, Joe

  • AutoComplete implementation - Interview Question

    - by user181218
Hi, Say you have a DB table with two cols: SearchPhrase(String) | Popularity(Int). You need to initialize a DS so that you could use it to implement an autocomplete feature (like google suggest) comfortably. The requirement: Once the data from the db is processed into the data structure, when you type a letter you get the 10 most popular searchphrases from the db starting with that letter, then when you type the next one you get the 10 .... with these two letters and so on. The question only concerns planning the ds and pseudocoding Insert,Search etc. Note: YOU CANNOT USE TRIE DS. Any ideas?

  • web service for business logic or data access layer

    - by luiscarlosch
This post http://www.theserverside.net/tt/articles/showarticle.tss?id=Top5WSMistakes encourages me to create the web service for business logic layer but many people use it in the data access layer. I want to create a project where i want to access the same data repository from a desktop application, website and a cell phone. What would you recommend me? Is there any case it may be a good idea implement web services to both layers? thanks.

  • How can I move my Dynamic Data folder?

    - by ProfK
I accidentally moved my Dynamic Data' folder into myImagesfolder. The project still compiles, but it's just not right. However, when I try to move it back to the root in Visual Studio, I get an error that the destination folder already exists. If I moveDynamic Data` back to the root outside of Visual Studio, the project no longer compiles because the compiler can't find any dynamic data files. My infancy with git prompted me to ask here before embarking on an unpleasant 2am quest.

  • Define "cyclic data structures"

    - by Earlz
At the JSON site it says JSON does not support cyclic data structures, so be careful to not give cyclical structures to the JSON stringifier. What does it mean by this? Can someone give me an example of such a data structure in Javascript?
