  • apache2 defaultsite redirect but not virtual host

    - by MMM
I'm trying to set up a new server with several virtual hosts but also such that if the requested fqdn doesn't match a virtual host then the request is redirected to http://example.com/log.php?url=fqdn I have got the default host redirecting as desired however the virtual host that I have defined doesn't work. I'm testing using a different host and curl -I http://hostname.example.com:8080/ on the command line to read the html headers to check for the redirect header directly rather than following it with a browser (to avoid any caching issues). I have defined a virtualhost as the fqdn of the server but when I use curl to request that virtualhost I get redirected. If I request the server by any other name which doesn't have a virtualhost defined I also get redirected. apache version is 2.2.16 on ubuntu The config (concatenated together in order from a couple of different files) is as follows: Listen 8080 NameVirtualHost * <VirtualHost _default_> ServerAdmin [email protected] RewriteEngine On RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://example.com/log.php?url=%{HTTP_HOST}$1 [R=302,L] </VirtualHost> <VirtualHost *> <Directory "/var/www"> allow from all Options Indexes </Directory> DocumentRoot /var/www ServerName hostname.example.com </VirtualHost> I've also tried ServerName values of hostname.example.com:* and hostname.example.com:8080 In case I wasn't clear enough: anything.anything.any/something requested from my server should redirect to example.com/log.php?url=anything.anything.any/something foo.example.com (not defined as a VirtualHost) requested from my server should redirect to example.com/log.php?url=foo.example.com hostname.example.com (defined as a VirtualHost) requested from my server should return an html document anothername.example.com (also defined as a VirtualHost) requested from my server should return an html document It turns out that because the servers own fqdn is hostname.example.com that gets redirected to the Default VirtualHost even if there is a named VirtualHost for it. Other fqdn's that are not the same as the servers fqdn work as I intended.

  • One nginx rules for lots of subdomain

    - by komase
    I have lots of subdomain in a server. Every subdomain has its own Drupal boost rules, like in below codes: server { server_name subdomain1.website.com; location / { root /var/www/html/subdomain/subdomain1.website.com; index index.php; set $boost ""; set $boost_query "_"; if ( $request_method = GET ) { set $boost G; } if ($http_cookie !~ "DRUPAL_UID") { set $boost "${boost}D"; } if ($query_string = "") { set $boost "${boost}Q"; } if ( -f $document_root/cache/normal/$host$request_uri$boost_query.html ) { set $boost "${boost}F"; } if ($boost = GDQF){ rewrite ^.*$ /cache/normal/$host/$request_uri$boost_query.html break; } if (!-e $request_filename) { rewrite ^/(.*)$ /index.php?q=$1 last; break; } } location ~ \.php$ { fastcgi_pass 127.0.0.1:9000; fastcgi_index index.php; fastcgi_param SCRIPT_FILENAME /var/www/html/subdomain/subdomain1.website.com$fastcgi_script_name; include fastcgi_params; } } I adding all subdomain rules manually from time to time. The size of ngin.conf has become too big. So, I need one nginx rules which do: subdomain1.website.com pointing to /var/www/html/subdomain/subdomain1.website.com subdomain2.website.com pointing to /var/www/html/subdomain/subdomain2.website.com subdomain3.website.com pointing to /var/www/html/subdomain/subdomain3.website.com ...and so on (So that no more adding rules for subdomain .website.com I need in the future.)

  • Nginx virtual server only partially working with Java application

    - by MFB
    Final Cut Server is a Java application (made by Apple) which launches from a web page. I have Nginx in front of this web server (amongst others) and, whilst the web server can be browsed externally, the Java app fails to launch correctly and throws the errors below. Can anyone offer clues as to what additional config I many have to add to Nginx to get this working? My existing Nginx config: user xxxx; worker_processes 4; pid /var/run/nginx.pid; events { worker_connections 1024; # multi_accept on; } http { sendfile on; tcp_nopush on; tcp_nodelay on; keepalive_timeout 65; types_hash_max_size 2048; include /etc/nginx/conf/mime.types; default_type application/octet-stream; access_log /var/log/nginx/access.log; error_log /var/log/nginx/error.log; gzip on; gzip_disable "msie6"; server { server_name _; return 444; } upstream fcs-site { server 10.10.5.20:8080; } server { listen 80; server_name example.com 10.10.5.90; access_log /var/log/nginx/fcs_access.log; error_log /var/log/nginx/fcs_error.log; location / { proxy_set_header Host $host; proxy_set_header X-Real-IP $remote_addr; proxy_set_header X-Forwarded-For $proxy_add_x_forwarded_for; proxy_set_header X-Forwarded-Proto $scheme; client_max_body_size 10m; client_body_buffer_size 128k; proxy_connect_timeout 60s; proxy_send_timeout 90s; proxy_read_timeout 90s; proxy_buffering off; proxy_temp_file_write_size 64k; proxy_pass http://fcs-site; proxy_redirect off; } } upstream myapp-site { server 127.0.0.1:6543; } server { listen 80; server_name otherexample.com www.otherexample.com; rewrite ^ https://$server_name$request_uri? • Weird Apache Crash (with Dump) zend_hash_find (), libphp5.so

    - by Jacob84
To be honest I don't have experience working with Apache. I'm just putting the best of my intentions on solving this and don't know if I'm making it right. So any help will be greatly appreciated. We have a php page wich is throwing the following message in the browser: Error 324 (net::ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE): The server closed the connection without sending any data. The logs from /var/log/httpd doesn't seem to help because It seems that the Apache is unable to write any information. So the exception or error is preventing the writing (maybe ocurring in some stage of the process that makes impossible to log?). I've read about the procedure to make dumps of the apache, and here we have the content: Reading symbols from /lib64/libgpg-error.so.0...(no debugging symbols found)...done. Loaded symbols for /lib64/libgpg-error.so.0 Reading symbols from /usr/lib64/php/modules/zip.so...(no debugging symbols found)...done. Loaded symbols for /usr/lib64/php/modules/zip.so Core was generated by `/usr/sbin/httpd'. Program terminated with signal 11, Segmentation fault. 0 0x00007fb828fff712 in zend_hash_find () from /etc/httpd/modules/libphp5.so Missing separate debuginfos, use: debuginfo-install httpd-2.2.15-15.el6.centos.1.x86_64 I've been looking in the PHP files and I haven't found any direct call to zend_hash_find (wich seems to be causing the error). I've been looking at Google but found nothing related. Can somebody please help? Is there any step that I need to accomplish to know more? Thanks a lot, as always!

  • IIS Messing on Wordpress Permalinks or WP's fault?

    - by Jesus Rodriguez
Hello, I had a problem and after some research I discovered the exactly point where is failing. blog.domain.com Is not working, it says that the page cannot be found (404) blog.domain.com/index.php Working as expected If you click on Home, it will says that the page cannot be found, if you try to preview a new post, it says that the page cannot be found... I can see every post btw. I run my blog on a Windows hosting using IIS. my permalink is this: /index.php/%postname% IIRC I had to use index.php because my IIS doesn't have URL rewriting. I have no problem with the index.php thing on the url, I have now a good SEO and I don't want to change my permalink but I Don't know why is not working now... just from one day to the next... It's a problem of WP or is just my host messing up? If is my blog, do you know what is causing this? (Just for create a concrete ticket about the exactly problem) Thank you.

  • MySQL 5.1.49 freezing every two days

    - by maximus
Hi all, our mysql system is "freezing" every two days. By "freezing" i mean the following: it doesn't respond to ping we can't login with SSH we don't get any answer from MySQL there is no entry in the error logs! neither from linux neither from MySQL. we have already changed to a completely new hardware, we have the same problem, so it's definitely not a hardware problem. we do not have any other software installed except a firewall (iptables rule) we can restart the server from another server using rsyslog (www.rsyslog.com)(software reset) Could someone help me, by giving me some pointers what could i do to figure out the problem? I have included every detail about our settings. Thank you in advance for your help. Max. • How to pass an IP address to inet_addr?

    - by November
    I can't seem to pass an IP address to inet_addr. I have gone through the debug but I still can't figure out why this won't work. printf("Server IP\nIP:"); scanf("%s",cmdPtr); //Bind socket address.sin_family = AF_INET; address.sin_addr.s_addr = inet_addr(&cmdPtr); address.sin_port = htonl(SERVER_PORT); lenC = sizeof(address); if (connect(sdC, (struct sockaddr *) &address , lenC) < 0) { perror("Could not bind Socket\n"); return -1; }

  • Apache2 - 500 internal server error

    - by Lucio Coire Galibone
i'm running a VPS with Linux CentOs 6 with 4 GB of RAM, 10 GB of HD and 2 virtual CPU Intel(R) Xeon(R)CPU L5640 @ 2.27GHz. As my host says each virtual CPU must be at least 0.5 physical cpu. At certain times of the day, those with more traffic, trying accessing my php script i receive intermittently "500 internal server error". I activate logging to debug level from apache, and also the PHP logging with E_ALL, but I can't find reference to Error 500 in any logs(I checked the right logs!). I haven't got any .htaccess file in path script. The strange thing is that the error start at first php line in the script (the previous html displays correctly, but at the first php line the script send 500 error). The cpu load is always good (max 0.15 0.08 0.01) and RAM is close to 95% but it arrived to swap just 2 times in a month with 2-5 MB. Apache works with prefork with this values: <IfModule prefork.c> StartServers 8 MinSpareServers 5 MaxSpareServers 20 ServerLimit 280 MaxClients 280 MaxRequestsPerChild 4000 </IfModule> Everthing works correctly and I don't get any error in quiet times, but i start receive errors when traffic rises (6-9000 visits per hour). Can i solve the problem increasing resources? (i can upgrade RAM up to 16 GB). It can depend from reaching MaxClients (but apache must write it on log, right?)? If I upgrade RAM to 6 or 8 GB i have to calculate MaxClients value with this? MaxClients = Total RAM dedicated to the web server / Max child process size Max child process size is around 20M. How else can the problem be? Thanks in advance

I'd love to have a kick in the right direction with the MySQL config so I'm not blindly altering it based on the MySQLTuner without understanding what I'm changing. Thanks

  • Effect of NonBlockingSendSpecialBuffering setting on Windows

    - by user52498
Recently I ran into some issue related to the UDP sending on Windows. When the application tries to send the packets over UDP in non-blocking mode, often it received socket error 10035 (WSAEWOULDBLOCK) in the send(), so likely that the socket buffer is full. I only seen this issue on Windows 2008 and did not see the same problem on Windows 2003. I was doing some research and found the following article (although it mention TCP) http://support.microsoft.com/kb/823764 At the bottom it mentioned updating of the registry value HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\AFD\Parameters\NonBlockingSendSpecialBuffering to 1 But it didn't include further details Would anyone know what is the effect of setting this registry value and what does it do? I tried to research on the web but unable to find any reference, including the msdn website. Any help would be appreciated.

Googling since two hours, I require your assistance. I'm on a Debian virtual machine and I cloned it. The only change is the new IP adress it has. • nginx rewrite or internal redirection cycle

    - by gyre
Im banging my head against a table trying to figure out what is causing redirection cycle in my nginx configuration when trying to access URL which does not exist Configuration goes as follows: server { listen 127.0.0.1:8080; server_name .somedomain.com; root /var/www/somedomain.com; access_log /var/log/nginx/somedomain.com-access.nginx.log; error_log /var/log/nginx/somedomain.com-error.nginx.log debug; location ~* \.php.$ { # Proxy all requests with an URI ending with .php* # (includes PHP, PHP3, PHP4, PHP5...) include /etc/nginx/fastcgi.conf; } # all other files location / { root /var/www/somedomain.com; try_files $uri $uri/ ; } error_page 404 /errors/404.html; location /errors/ { alias /var/www/errors/; } #this loads custom logging configuration which disables favicon error logging include /etc/nginx/drop.conf; } this domain is a simple STATIC HTML site just for some testing purposes. I'd expect that the error_page directive would kick in in response to PHP-FPM not being able to find given files as I have fastcgi_intercept_errors on; in http block and nave error_page set up, but I'm guessing the request fails even before that somewhere on internal redirects. Any help would be much appreciated.

  • Why can't I unblock postgres with shorewall?

    - by ryeguy
I can't seem to unblock the port needed for postgres using Shorewall. I am developing a PHP app on my windows machine here, and then I upload it on my linux box to actually use it. The linux box runs the php files as well as hosts the db server. Since I need it working from both machines, in my PHP code I am referring to the database as the full IP instead of localhost. I can easily connect to postgres from my windows machine, but ironically, my PHP app can't connect to postgres even though it's on the same box. Here's what I have in /etc/shorewall/rules: #macro/action src dest PostgreSQL/ACCEPT net $FW PostgreSQL/ACCEPT loc $FW PostgreSQL/ACCEPT loc dmz PostgreSQL/ACCEPT net dmz PostgreSQL/ACCEPT loc net PostgreSQL/ACCEPT dmz $FW PostgreSQL/ACCEPT dmz loc PostgreSQL/ACCEPT dmz net PostgreSQL/ACCEPT dmz dmz Clearly I have a ton of crap there. The first line is all I needed to make it allow a connection from my windows machine. All the lines after it are me just trying everything to get it to work. What am I missing?

  • Restart mysql keeping the data

    - by sitonico
I'm quite new using mysql, so let me know if I'm missing something. I took some holidays, and when I got back to work and I tried to log in phpmyadmin I got a ERROR 2002 (HY000): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2). I never had this problem, so I was browsing to look for a solution. I tried some things, and I'm afraid I touched too much. I couldn't solve the problem, and the I realized that I had some actualizations to be done, and I thought that they may be helpful for mysql. Then I also realized that when I was doing this actualizations first day, they stopped because I had a lack of space, so I restarted then. Then, when the system was configuring mysql, it didn't advance. I waited for a long time and then I just stopped it and restarted the computer. After it, I just tried to uninstall mysql with sudo apt-get remove mysql-server-5.1, and install it again, but it didn't work. Now I have 2 questions: What do you think it is happening? Should I remove mysql completely? What should I do? I'm afraid of losing my databases, is there anyway to recover the data? Thank you very much in advance. -----------EDIT------- These are the messages: alfonso@alfonso-laptop:/$ tail -F /var/log/syslog | grep Feb 15 15:08:01 alfonso-laptop init: mysql post-start process (15192) terminated with status Feb 15 15:08:01 alfonso-laptop init: mysql main process (15263) terminated with status Feb 15 15:08:01 alfonso-laptop init: mysql main process ended, Feb 15 15:08:31 alfonso-laptop init: mysql post-start process (15264) terminated with status Feb 15 15:08:31 alfonso-laptop init: mysql main process (15358) terminated with status Feb 15 15:08:31 alfonso-laptop init: mysql main process ended, Feb 15 15:09:01 alfonso-laptop init: mysql post-start process (15359) terminated with status Feb 15 15:09:01 alfonso-laptop init: mysql main process (15447) terminated with status Feb 15 15:09:01 alfonso-laptop init: mysql main process ended, Feb 15 15:09:32 alfonso-laptop init: mysql post-start process (15448) terminated with status 1 This is the content of error.log-old 110128 13:17:20 [Note] /usr/sbin/mysqld: Normal shutdown 110128 13:17:20 [Note] Event Scheduler: Purging the queue. 0 events 110128 13:17:20 InnoDB: Starting shutdown... 110128 13:17:22 InnoDB: Shutdown completed; log sequence number 0 590872 110128 13:17:22 [Note] /usr/sbin/mysqld: Shutdown complete 110214 2:08:18 [Note] Plugin 'FEDERATED' is disabled. 110214 2:08:19 InnoDB: Started; log sequence number 0 590872 110214 2:08:19 [Note] Event Scheduler: Loaded 0 events 110214 2:08:19 [Note] /usr/sbin/mysqld: ready for connections. • Returning a 404 page when a folder is accessed from one domain, but allowing access from other domains and IP addresses

    - by okw
Situation: I want to return a 404 page ("404.php") when a folder ("hidden") is accessed from the example.com domain. I want the same folder to be accessible from a subdomain ("hidden.example.com") or from a different domain ("hidden.com") which are both configured in a single VirtualHost entry. The server has multiple IP addresses that it listens on. Each IP address serves identical content from the example.com domain (sharing a VirtualHost entry.) I want the folder to be accessible from the IP address. The server is configured to use SSL/TLS/HTTPS. HTTPS is optional on example.com, but HTTPS is enforced in the .htaccess file for the hidden folder using a rewrite rule shown below. /www/hidden/.htaccess RewriteCond %{HTTPS} !=on RewriteRule .* https://%{SERVER_NAME}%{REQUEST_URI} [R,L] I know that {SERVER_ADDR} gives the server's IP address, but does it return the one that the client is requesting from? I'm also starting to think that something in the VirtualHosts file would be more appropriate. Any thoughts on this? What should be allowed: http://87.65.43.21/hidden/ https://87.65.43.21/hidden/ http://12.34.56.78/hidden/ https://12.34.56.78/hidden/ http://hidden.example.com/ https://hidden.example.com/ http://hidden.com/ https://hidden.com/ http://www.hidden.com/ https://www.hidden.com/ What should be 404-ed with 404.php http://example.com/hidden/ https://example.com/hidden/ http://www.example.com/hidden/ https://www.example.com/hidden/ http://example.com/hidden/hiddenfile.php https://example.com/hidden/hiddenfile.php etc. Thanks.

  • Computer has video artifacts after been exposed to rain

    - by Sadie
My desktop now displays video artifacts after been exposed to rain. Only a very small amount of moisture went inside the case. The only place I noticed any water was on the CPU socket. I used a hair dryer and paper towels to wick any remaining moisture. When I boot the PC it loads it the OS, but there are large numbers of video artifacts. The artifacts appear symmetric if that helps. I am wondering what components I need to replace. I'd like to salvage what I can. My setup: AMD Athlon x3, Asus main board (AM2 socket), nVidia GT 430 PCIe, 8gb (4gb x2) DDR3

  • AIX network parameters to close TCP sockets of unplugged devices

    - by ADD Geek
Hi there We have an AIX box, running what we call in banking "ATM Switch" not the ATM networking switch, but the bank ATM driver. where we have some ATM machines connected to two server processes. The problem is, when we disconnect any of these machines, the netstat -na| grep <port number> command shows that the socket established for this disconnected device is still established, we have to manually send a command from the software to make the socket aware that it is not live anymore. Is there a parameter on tcp level to make this connection aware within a minute or two that this device is not connected anymore? we had the following parameters set with root privileges: no -o tcp_keepidle=1000 no -o tcp_keepcnt=2 no -o tcp_keepintvl=150 no -o tcp_finwait2=100 it was originally having the default values. but even after we changed these parameters and restarted the server processes, the problem was still there.

  • How to reset mysql's replication settings completely, without reinstalling it?

    - by user38060
I set up mysql replication by adding references to binlogs, relay logs etc in my.cnf restarted mysql, it worked. I wanted to change it so I deleted all binlog related files including log-bin.index, removed binlog statements from my.cnf restarted server, works set master to '', purge master logs since now(), reset slave, stop slave, stop master. now, to set up replication again, I added binlog statements to the server. But then I hit this problem when restarting with: sudo mysqld (the only way to see mysql's startup errors) I get this error: /usr/sbin/mysqld: File '/etc/mysql/var/log-bin.index' not found (Errcode: 13) Because indeed, this file does not exist! (I deleted it, while trying to set up a new replication system) Hmm, if I change the config line to: log-bin-index = log-bin.index I get a different error: [ERROR] Can't generate a unique log-filename /etc/mysql/var/bin.(1-999) [ERROR] MSYQL_BIN_LOG::open failed to generate new file name. [ERROR] Aborting The first time I set up replication on this system, I didn't need to create this file. I did the same thing - added references to a previously non-existing file, and mysql created it. Same with relay logs, etc. I don't know why mysql insists on trying to read the old folder. Should I just reinstall the whole package again? I thought it was apparmor causing it at first, but when I added /etc/mysql/* rw, to apparmor's config and restarted it, it still couldn't read the full path.

  • Adobe Coldfusion Railo OpenBD Apache Tomcat Multiple Sites

    - by chris hough
    Here's what I am trying to do, unless I am crazy: I am trying to use Tomcat with the multiple workers, so far I got OpenBD working, but having trouble with Railo, and will be tackling Adobe after. each engine deployed as a war separated by different workers I wanted to keep both the sites and engines inside my sites directory I have to remap the symlink for the WEB-INF when I switch engines = have not found a way around this my thought is to have everything separated into modules and I want to be able to execute both cfm and php code in a single site.  Ideally, it would be amazing if there would be a way to not have to remap the symlink as well. thoughts? can this be done? I am trying to mimic how this would be setup on a live server, not using eclipse for example. here is what I am working with so far: my apache workers.properties worker.list=openbd, openbdadmin, railo, railoadmin  worker.openbd.type=ajp13  worker.openbd.host=local.mydev.openbd  worker.openbd.port=8009 worker.openbdadmin.type=ajp13  worker.openbdadmin.host=local.admin.openbd worker.openbdadmin.port=8009   worker.railo.type=ajp13  worker.railo.host=local.mydev.railo  worker.railo.port=8009 worker.railoadmin.type=ajp13  worker.railoadmin.host=local.admin.railo worker.railoadmin.port=8009   my tomcat servers.xml < Host name="local.admin.openbd" appBase="/Users/[myusername]/Websites/coldfusion.engines"  unpackWARs="false" autoDeploy="true" xmlValidation="true" xmlNamespaceAware="false"        < Context path="" docBase="openbd/" reloadable="true" privileged="true" antiResourceLocking="false" anitJARLocking="false" allowLinking="true" < /Host        < Host name="local.admin.railo"   appBase="/Users/[my username]/Websites/coldfusion.engines" unpackWARs="false" autoDeploy="true" xmlValidation="true" xmlNamespaceAware="false"        < Context path="" docBase="railo/"  reloadable="true" privileged="true" antiResourceLocking="false" anitJARLocking="false" allowLinking="true" < /Host < Host name="local.mydev.openbd"   appBase="/Users/[my username]/Websites/coldfusion.engines" unpackWARs="false" autoDeploy="true" xmlValidation="true" xmlNamespaceAware="false" < Context path="" docBase="/Users/[my username]/Websites/example.mydev/wwwroot/"  reloadable="true" privileged="true" antiResourceLocking="false" anitJARLocking="false" allowLinking="true"< /Context < /Host < Host name="local.mydev.railo"   appBase="/Users/[my username]/Websites/coldfusion.engines"  unpackWARs="false" autoDeploy="true" xmlValidation="true" xmlNamespaceAware="false" < Context path="" docBase="/Users/[my username]/Websites/example.mydev/wwwroot/"  reloadable="true" privileged="true" antiResourceLocking="false" anitJARLocking="false" allowLinking="true" < /Host my apache vhosts ServerName local.admin.openbd DocumentRoot /Users/[my username]/Websites/coldfusion.engines/openBD/ #Mount OpenBD and tell it to only server cfml files JkMount /*.cfm openbdadmin ErrorLog "/Users/[my username]/Websites/apache.logs/local_openbdadmin_error.log" ServerName local.admin.railo DocumentRoot /Users/[my username]/Websites/coldfusion.engines/railo/ #Mount Railo and tell it to only server cfml files JkMount /*.cfm railoadmin ErrorLog "/Users/[my username]/Websites/apache.logs/local_railoadmin_error.log" ServerName local.mydev DocumentRoot /Users/[my username]/Websites/example.mydev/wwwroot ErrorLog "/Users/[my username]/Websites/apache.logs/local_example_mydev_error.log" ServerName local.mydev.openbd DocumentRoot /Users/[my username]/Websites/example.mydev/wwwroot #Mount OpenBD and tell it to only server cfml files JkMount /*.cfm openbd ErrorLog "/Users/[my username]/Websites/apache.logs/local_example_mydev_openbd_error.log" ServerName local.mydev.railo DocumentRoot /Users/[my username]/Websites/example.mydev/wwwroot JkMount /*.cfm railo ErrorLog "/Users/[my username]/Websites/apache.logs/local_example_mydev_railo_error.log" my folder structure I am using websites/apache.logs/ websites/coldfusion.engines/ websites/coldfusion.engines/cfusion/ websites/coldfusion.engines/openBD/ websites/coldfusion.engines/railo/ websites/example.mydev/ websites/example.mydev/wwwroot/ websites/example.mydev/wwwroot/index.cfm   websites/example.mydev/wwwroot/index.htm   websites/example.mydev/wwwroot/index.php   error log output [Thu Aug 27 00:54:50.443 2009] [11279:2686719776] [info] init_jk::mod_jk.c (3183): mod_jk/1.2.28 initialized [Thu Aug 27 00:54:51.346 2009] [11280:2686719776] [info] init_jk::mod_jk.c (3183): mod_jk/1.2.28 initialized [Thu Aug 27 00:55:18.963 2009] [11284:2686719776] [info] jk_open_socket::jk_connect.c (594): connect to 127.0.0.1:8009 failed (errno=61) [Thu Aug 27 00:55:18.963 2009] [11284:2686719776] [info] ajp_connect_to_endpoint::jk_ajp_common.c (922): Failed opening socket to (127.0.0.1:8009) (errno=61) [Thu Aug 27 00:55:18.963 2009] [11284:2686719776] [error] ajp_send_request::jk_ajp_common.c (1507): (openbdadmin) connecting to backend failed.   • Using AT on Ubuntu to Background Downloads (w/ Queue)

    - by Nicholas Yost
I am writing a PHP script, but I want to use the AT command in Ubuntu to fetch a remote file via WGET. I'm basically looking to background the process, so PHP can finish fairly quickly. I cannot find any questions on here about how to use both, but I basically want to do the following pseudo-code: <?php exec('at now -q queuename wget http://path.to/remote/file.ext'); ?> Additionally, I'd like to queue this between providers. I'd like to have each path.to have its own queue, so I only download one file from each provider at a time. Meaning: <?php exec('at now -q remote wget http://path.to/remote/file.ext /local/path'); exec('at now -q vendorone wget http://vendor.one/remote/file.ext /local/path'); exec('at now -q vendortwo wget http://vendor.two/remote/file.ext /local/path'); exec('at now -q vendorone wget http://vendor.one/remote/file.ext /local/path'); ?> This should download the files from path.to, vendor.one, vendor.two immediately, and when the first file is finished downloading from vendor.one, it starts the second file. Does that make sense? I can't find anything like this anywhere on the web, much less on SO/SF. If we can use the crontab to run a one-off wget command, thats fine too.
