  • How to insert Google Adsense in a single post after the <!--More--> Tag

    - by Bob Cavezza
I'm using wordpress, and I want to add the adsense javascript tags where the Read More tag goes in a blogpost. It's stored as <!--more--> in the database, but when you use the_content() this is automatically changed before I have the chance to use a str_replace() function. I'm looking to place an adsense tag for each post in the single.php page where the teaser ends. Has anyone been able to do this?

  • Prevent monitor from powering on

    - by concretemixer
I'm turning off the monitor using SendMessage(HWND_BROUADCART, WM_SYSCOMMAND, SC_MONITORRPOWER, 2). That works, but the monitor turns back on when someone touches the keyboard or mouse. I tried to get rid of this using the DevicePowerSetDeviceState function with DEVICEPOWER_CLEAR_WAKEENABLED for the keyboard and mouse: it returns no error, but has no effect either. How can I prevent the monitor from powering back on in Vista and Windows7?

  • Delegates with explicit "this" pointer?

    - by Qwertie
Is it possible to adapt a method like this function "F" class C { public void F(int i); } to a delegate like Action<C,int>? I have this vague recollection that Microsoft was working on supporting this kind of adaptation. But maybe I misremembered!

  • This is a valid C code but not a valid C++ code?

    - by claws
In some library I'm using (written in C) its StorePGM(image, width, height, filename) char *image; int width, height; char *filename; { // something something } All functions are defined this way. I never seen such function definitions in my life. They seem to be valid to MSVC but when I compile it as C++ it gives errors. What is it? some kind of old version C?

  • Android setContentView operation

    - by stormin986
I've read that it's important to call setContentView() early in an activity since it builds the view objects that may be manipulated by subsequent code in onCreate(). In terms of lifecycle, does the view get drawn to screen as soon as setContentView() is called, or does it allow the onCreate() function to build/populate the information in the view objects, and wait to actually draw it after onCreate() completes? Thanks!

  • Redirect Using jQuery

    - by tshauck
    Hi, So I'm using jquerymobile for an app I'm creating. I have a link that if all the validation passes I'd like to go through, but if something fails I'd like to redirect. In the jquery something like this. Since it is jquerymobile the link will be a new div on the same index.html page - if that helps. $(#link).click(function(){ if(validation_fails) link_elsewhere; else return true; }

I'm using this for a Dependency Injection-esque thing I'm making.

  • is there a way to inject privileged methods after an object is constructed?

    - by patrickgamer
I'm trying to write fully automated unit tests in JavaScript and I'm looking for a way to read some private variables in various JS functions. I thought I recalled a way to inject privileged members into a function/object (and found an overwhelming occurrence of "no such thing as private in JS") and yet I can't find any resources indicating how. I'm trying to read through the properties of .prototype but if there's a way, someone out here would know where to direct me faster than I'd find on my own. Thanks
