  • Is there a way to add detailed remote crash reporting to a Flex Air application?

    I will be releasing my Air/Flex application soon, but I am pretty sure there are a couple of bugs that may pop up on the various platforms that Air is available for. So I was wondering if there is a way to implement a mechanism, that would send an error report, logging where the error happened, to a remote server each time an app crashes? This way I might catch errors that otherwise would go unnoticed.

    I'm using Guzzle 4 (latest version) to upload file to a remote server, since it uses stream to upload the $response-getStatusCode() will be 100 which means "Continue" and the responseBody is not available at this point. Is there a way to catch the remote server response when the upload is done? The catch of course is that the singleton connection will be exposed (either directly or indirectly) via a web-service (most probable a SOAP based web-service - located on a separate server from the calling app(s) ) - which means that there may be more than one app / instance attempting to connect to the singleton class. In PHP, what is the best way to create a global singleton or a web-service singleton? TIA

  • can't connect Java client to C server.

When I run them both on the same computer everything works, but when I try to run the server on computer A and the client on computer B, I get the error IOException connection refused from the java client.     Working with Python in Emacs if I want to add a try/catch to a block of code, I often find that I am having to indent the whole block, line by line. In Emacs, how do you indent the whole block at once. I am not an experienced Emacs user, but just find it is the best tool for working through ssh. I am using Emacs on the command line(Ubuntu), not as a gui, if that makes any difference.
