   Devoxx, the biggest Java conference in Europe, is  only a couple of days away. From November 12th to  16th, over 3,400 developers from all over Europe  are descending on Antwerp, Belgium for a week  focused on Java.  At the Oracle booth, Java experts will be available  to answer your  questions and demo the new  features of the Java Platform, including Java  Embedded,  JavaFX, JavaSE and Java EE.  Beer bash at the booth Tuesday from 17:30-19:30 and Wednesday/Thursday from 18:00 to 20:00.   Great keynote and I don’t like keynotes.. Seeing the great breadth of large and small devices and the number of manufacturers along with the software vision for Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 was inspiring. Jordan Rudess demonstrates Tachyon on Windows 8 Then he played for a while too..   I especially liked Steve Balmers 82” slate!!   Hm ... you might ask yourself why there are no Oracle Database 12c slides available for download, neither in the OOW 2012 content system nor on our blog (and I believe nowhere else). Simple reason: As long as Oracle Database 12c is not released and available we are not allowed to offer slides for download. Therefore people were simply taking pictures during the 12c sessions with their phones, iPods and cameras. Roy took a nice shot: Sorry for that - we'll make the content available as soon as Oracle Database 12c gets released. In between you can download our OOW 2012 talk Database Upgrades on Steroids: Real Speed, Real Customers, Real Secrets as PDF (3.4MB) - but the 12c content is currently not in that PDF. But a lot of information applies to your source database and/or to any upgrade - so it still might be helpful.   My concern is about SEO. Now let me explain the scenario. I am making a 3 languages website. The development is alright, but I was targeting local customers with one domain, and international (english version) with another. Eg: Local http://www.minhalojadesapatos.com.br (this is not the real website, just example!) Other http://www.myshoesstore.com.br Both domain point to exactly the same hosting and content, but when user comes through local domain, default language is set to portuguese, otherwise, default is english. Language handling on backend uses PHP Sessions and cookies, so with just a click users can change content language. How to avoid being SEO-penalised in this context? (yeah, I was hungry when focusing market for choosing two domains but the activity really needs that, it is a travel agency).
