  • javascript simple object creation test: opera leaks?

    Hi, I am trying to figure out certain memory leak conditions in javascript on a few browsers. Currently I'm only testing FF 3.6, Opera 10.10, and Safari 4.0.3. I've started with a fairly simple test, and can confirm no memory leaks in Firefox and Safari. But Opera just takes memory and never gives it back. What gives? No luck. As you can see this is simple JS, no circular DOM links, no closures. I monitor the memory usage using 'top' on Mac 10.4.11. Memory usage spikes up on page load, as expected. In FF and Safari reloading the page does not use any further memory, and all memory is returned when the window (tab) is closed. In Opera, memory spikes on load, and seems to also spike further on each reload (but not always...). But regardless of reload, memory never goes back down below the initial load spike. I had hoped this was a no-brainer test that all browsers would pass, so I could move on to more "interesting" conditions. Am I doing something wrong here? Or is this a known Opera issue?     If I load the following URL in Firefox and login to Facebook, I'm getting a page displaying "An invalid next or cancel parameter was specified." https://graph.facebook.com/oauth/authorize?client_id=c8caf78d724d142ee82334131ef5c9ce&redirect_uri=http://www.facebook.com/connect/login_success.html&type=user_agent&display=touch&scope=offline_access,publish_stream But if I change the display parameter to display=page I no longer get this error. Any ideas as to why?

    I have a simple html service, developed in django. You enter your name - it posts this, and returns a value (male/female). I need to ofer this as a web service. I have no idea where to start. I want to accept a xml request, and provide an xml response - thats it. Can anyone give ma any pointers - Googling it is difficult when you dont know what your searching for.

Now I wish to add files that exist in another folder on my machine... but I keep getting the following: fatal: pathspec 'Users/mic/OnePageCRMVC/MKTsite25-05/index.html' did not match any files However, the file definitely does exist...   • Using the standard Flash AS3 scrollbar class

    Flash has a scrollbar class, documented here: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/AS3LCR/Flash_10.0/fl/controls/ScrollBar.html However, besides listing functions and variables, there's no real explanation of how to hook an instance of this class to a textfield. Everything I've tried either ends up in errors or the scrollbar not showing. The documentation lacks a clear way of how you should bind the textfield and the scrollbar toghether, and CS4 isn't providing any help either. Can someone explain, or link to an example of how scrollbars work with textfield?

  • Controlling the print options of a pdf

    I am producing a number of PDFs using either SSRS or using an HTML to PDF component. What I want to do for each document is to set the first page to print to tray 1 and subsequent pages. Is there anyway to do this? System.Drawing.Printing and System.Printing seem like good candidates but they don't seem to be useful for PDFs (i may be wrong). The Adobe sdk doesn't at first glance seem to have that level of granularity either.

  • Java: Possible to consolidate empty subdirectories for packages that only contain other packages?

    Good afternoon, all. I'm not too hopeful for a "yes" here, but if anyone can figure it out, the folks at SO can. I have a Java project that has the following package structure: src |-net | |-binarymuse | |-gwt | |-client | | |-ui | | |-project | | |-Project.java | |-Project.gwt.xml |-overview.html I would like to consolidate the empty subdirectories in the src/ folder so that instead of /src/net/binarymuse/gwt/client/ui/project/ I'd have /src/net.binarymuse.gwt/client.ui.project/. Is this possible? Thanks.

  • SharePoint Designer: how do I disable auto insertion of image size attributes?

    I'm hand-editing HTML files in a plain text editor (vim) via SharePoint Designer. Problem is, as soon as I save the files, SharePoint automatically adds width and height attributes to all the img-tags. Anyone know if it's possible to disable this "feature"? I don't want it to mess around with my code. Yeah, shouldn't be using SharePoint Designer then, I know - problem is that's not an option.

    I have this test case def test_loginin_student_control_panel(self): c = Client() c.login(username="tauri", password="gaul") response = c.get('/student/') self.assertEqual(response.status_code, 200) the view associated with the test case is this @login_required def student(request): return render_to_response('student/controlpanel.html') so my question is why the above test case redirects user to login page? should not c.login suppose to take care authenticating user?
