Is it possible to run an ng-switch directly on a select > option

Has anyone been able to run an ng-switch on a <select> -> <option> tag, like so?: <select ng-model="form.permitLocality" ng-switch on="localityTypeRadio"> <option ng-switch-when="County" ng-repeat="county in countyList"> {{ county.name }} </option> <option ng-switch-when="City" ng-repeat="city in cityList"> {{ city.name }} </option> <option ng-switch-when="Town" ng-repeat="town in townList"> {{ town.name }} </option> </select> I am not getting any errors or any options (all values verified), I just thought it would save me a couple lines and thought I'd try it. Huge surge in direct traffic from one particular town

Last month I noticed that the direct visits on our site have increased by nearly 150% whilst bounce rate is also considerably up. After drilling down further I can see that we have had nearly 2000 direct visits from one town in Connecticut called Stamford, with a bounce rate of 100%! I have been scratching around for answers but I can only find that it may be to do with our uptime monitoring tool; Pingdom. Does anyone know/have any experience with this kind of issue, any help is appreciated I have just noticed that we are receiving identical traffic in a town in England and a town in Scotland... This definitely makes me think it's to do with our uptime monitoring tool.

Working as a software developer in a small town [closed]

I'm thinking of moving back to a small town in the near future. Coming from a large city (Dallas), I'm worried about being able to find work as a developer. I've worked remotely for companies as a contractor before, but would prefer a full time position for health insurance. Has anyone successfully made a good career for themselves while living outside of a major city (the nearest big city will be Minneapolis, about 3 hours away)? If so, how did you do it and what steps could I take between now and then to maximize my chances for success?

Back in Town and Ready for New Beginnings

I flew into St. Louis and then rented a car and drove over 12,000 miles. I just dropped the rental off last night. I went to a ton of states, did a lot of really cool things, saw a lot of really cool people, and bought a ton of beer. I made some decisions, but this post isn't really about my decisions. It's more about the question that everyone has been asking, "Where am I going to work?".So here's the answer...BlueMetal Architects as a Senior SharePoint Engineer. Training budgets are tight at the moment and £2500+ is a fair amount to pay but ,as the saying goes, but if you pay peanuts you get monkeys. Looks like you will need to be quick , the site is saying "Fewer than 5 places available".

It is so great to see such a supportive place - featuring the knowledge exchange! today i have the following thing to discuss: i want to separate the following data that are stored in one column of a calc-spreadsheet: See the following data: You see that there are the following categories:_ steet, postal-code, town All the data are stored in only one Colum; Well to be honest: i want to separate them into three colums steet, postal-code, town see the data: what can i do? note - you see that there are commas inbetween the enties: and besides this we see that we have a postal-code with four digits: that is a good thing. Perhaps we can use this as a marker that helps us to separate the data?! Perhaps See a data-sample! Using Geo APIs to pick a random town from anywhere in the world

Hi all, I'm trying to use Yahoo's excellent GeoPlanet API: http://developer.yahoo.com/geo/geoplanet/guide/api-reference.html I would like to pick a random town from anywhere in the world but can't see an easy way to do it. I have tried querying by country and asking for children of type 'town', but can't seem to do that directly. Can anyone think of a way to pluck out a random town WOEID without having to query the country, then the admin regions, then the admin 2, then the admin 3 etc. I have also experimented using YQL, but don't have enough of an understanding about the available APIs.

Ruby on Rails redirect_to not functioning in IF statement?

Hi, I am redirecting a POST request to ensure the URL is correct along with other things. The redirect worked fine before I added in the if statements for town below: if !params[:address].blank? town = Town.find(:all, :conditions => ["name = ?", params[:address]]) @towns = town if !town.blank? redirect_to '/town/' + params[:address] else @town_invalid = 'test' end end end I am sure it is something simple and that I simply cannot see it. Also if you see any glaring errors or code mishaps let me know as I am just starting out. EDIT: I should mention this is what I get back from Safari when a real town is entered: Safari can’t open the page.Safari can’t open the page “http://localhost:3000/” because the server unexpectedly dropped the connection. This sometimes occurs when the server is busy. Wait for a few minutes, and then try again. Thanks!

I live in a small town, the population count isn't that great but let me introduce you to some of the population. We'll start with Martin the Doc, he fixes up anything that gets poorly, so much so that he could be classed as the doctor, the vet and even the garage mechanic. He's got a reputation that he can fix anything and that hasn't been proved wrong yet. He's great friends with Brian (who gets called "Brains") the teacher who seems to have a sound understanding of any topic you care to pass his way. If he isn't sure he tells you and then goes to find out and comes back with a full answer real quick. Its good to have that sort of research capability close at hand. Brains is also great at encouraging anyone who needs a bit of support to get them up to speed and working on their jobs. Steve sees Brains regularly, that's because he is the librarian, he keeps all sorts of reading material and nowadays there's even video to watch about any topic you like. Steve keeps scouring all sorts of places to get the content that's needed and he keeps it in good order so that what ever is needed can be found quickly. He also has to make sure that old stuff gets marked as probably out of date so that anyone reading it wont get mislead. Over the road from him is Greg, he's the town crier. We don't have a newspaper here so Greg keeps us all informed of what's going on "out of town" - what new stuff we might make use of and what wont work in a small place like this. If we are interested he goes ahead and gets people in to demonstrate their products and tell us about the details. Greg is pretty good at getting us discounts too. Now Greg's brother Ian works for the mayors office in the "waste management department" nowadays its all about the recycling but he still has to make sure that the stuff that cant be used any more gets disposed of properly. It depends on the type of waste he's dealing with that decides how it need to be treated and he has to know a lot about the different methods and when to use which ones. There are two people that keep the peace in town, Brent is the detective, investigating wrong doings and applying justice where necessary and Bart is the diplomat who smooths things over when any people have a dispute or disagreement. Brent is meticulous in his investigations and fair in the way he handles any situation he finds. Discretion is his byword. There's a rumour that Bart used to work for the United Nations but what ever his history there is no denying his ability to get apparently irreconcilable parties working together to their combined benefit. Someone who works closely with Bart is Brad, he is the translator in town. He has several languages that he can converse in but he can also explain things from someone's point of view or and make it understandable to someone else. To keep things on the straight and narrow from a legal perspective is Ben the solicitor, making sure we all abide by the rules.Two people who make for an interesting evening's conversation if you get them together are Aaron and Grant, Aaron is the local planning inspector and Grant is an inventor of some reputation. Anything being constructed around here needs Aarons agreement. He's quite flexible in his rules though; if you can justify what you want to do with solid logic but he wont stand for any development going on without his inclusion. That gets a demolition notice and there's no argument. Grant as I mentioned is the inventor in town, if something can be improved or created then Grant is your man. He mainly works on his own but isnt averse to getting specific advice and assistance from specialist from out of town if they can help him finish his creations.There aren't too many people left for you to meet in the town, there's Rob, he's an ex professional sportsman. He played Hockey, Football, Cricket, you name it. He was in his element as goal keeper / wicket keeper and that shows in his personal life. He just goes about his business and people often don't even know that he's helped them. Really low profile, doesn't get any glory but saves people from lots of problems, even disasters on occasion. There goes Neil, he's a bit of an odd person, some people say he's gifted with special clairvoyant powers, personally I think he's got his ear to the ground and knows where to find out the important news as soon as its made public. Anyone getting a visit from Neil is best off to follow his advice though, he's usually spot on and you wont be caught by surprise if you follow his recommendations – wherever it comes from.Poor old Andrew is the last person to introduce you to. Andrew doesn't show himself too often but when he does it seems that people find a reason to blame him for their problems, whether he had anything to do with their predicament or not. In all honesty, without fail, and to his great credit, he takes it in good grace and never retaliates or gets annoyed when he's out and about. It pays off too as its very often the case that those who were blaming him recently suddenly find they need his help and they readily forget the issues pretty rapidly.And then there's me, what do I do in town? Search Form using PHP/mySQL and Fancybox iFrame

I am struggling to get a search form in PHP to work with a fancybox iFrame. The search form queries a MySQL database and I want the results to show in the iFrame. Page Spamming via locations

Hi guys I am new here so please be gentle :) I have created a web page for a small mail order business. The page asks the reader if they are in need of a supplier for products in their "area" and if they have ever been let down by a supplier in that "area" etc. It also lists all the local villages and hamlets around the [area] where they can also supply too. This page is dynamically created and the [area] changes and so do the small towns that are local to the town. The page also contains information on the products so the word count vs town names is not stupid. An example of one of the URL would be www.website.com/1014/Halesowen/ It basically covers the whole of the UK so around 800 main towns with 28,000 local villages. The URL changes, so does the title and h1 tags, also each page is Geo coded for that town. My question really is this a good or bad idea? Is it a black hat technique ? I have been told if I have to ask the question then it probably is but the site does supply to all these areas just as any mail order company does and would like to get listed higher in each town for the products. I have seen this done on a few sites but only with a few targeted towns and not the whole of the UK so I would be really interested in your guys thoughts on this. Will Google penalize subdomains if content is nearly identical

I have created a subdomain for a town in San Diego that's ranking very well for it's keywords: http://carmelvalleymortgage.loanrebateinc.com/ I want to replicate this subdomain's content for another town in San Diego: http://sandiego.mortgage.loanrebateinc.com/ I will edit the text, tags, image files specific to each town, otherwise the verbiage will be identical. Question: Will Google penalize the main site? Will Google penalize the subdomains and list the content as spam? If yes to either 1 or 2, what strategies can I implement to prevent this? I'm using WordPress.

Virtual Box fails my OSes :(

I have a little problem with Virtual Box latest version in which i have installed Mint (also latest version).During creation of a new vdi partition I chose settings as default, that is, I don't create any tiny partitions myself. The installation works. But later while the new OS is running (not in Live mode) I try installing/updating new software available, the system automatically fails, it reports an error of DISKFULL, I close the message box then power off my system. Later on I can't boot it up again anymore. It hangs with a black screen and the PAUSE status. I have no idea why. I have installed 2 OSes and both fail at the same error. I doubt something is not right about the current version of VBox. Thank you . My host OS is Windows7 and my Clients are Mint and CentOS

AD account locks out when using Outlook 2007?

Hi, I/we have a problem with our Windows Server 2008 forest and Exchange. We are buying Exchange hosting from another firm and Exchange Server is in their Windows Server 2008 forest. So, we have two forests and there isn't any trusts between these two forests. Our own forest logon name is [email protected] and we also use the same email address to logon to the Exchange mailbox. Everything works fine if both our AD account and Exchange mailbox account have the same password, but if the passwords don't match, our AD account gets locked out. I have tried to figure out why Outlook sends false logon attemps to our AD. If someone can help, please do.

Change Check Out Folder for checked out files in SourceSafe

I had to rebuild my machine and went from XP to Windows 7. I've now got a bit of an issue: I had files checked out in SourceSafe previously, which I still have copies of in the local folder on my new install. However, SourceSafe still has them checked out to the old XP folder (c:\documents and settings etc) whereas the files now reside in c:\Users. Pending Checkins in Visual Studio now thinks I have nothing checked out, and SourceSafe declares that the files are checked out to me under the c:\documents and settings\ path. Is there any way to tell SourceSafe to simply "look over there" for the files instead? It seems to work with individually undoing and redoing checkout on the files, but that's a lengthy process and one I'd like to avoid if possible. If I simply checkout the files individually then it lists them as checked out to me twice, one for each of the locations. Any pointers would be very much appreciated!
