Installing Android SDK

I'm relatively new to Java development and never installed an SDK before. I have Eclipse and downloaded the Android SDK. It says I have Android SDK tools installed. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. I also just downloaded NetBeans. Is NetBeans compatible with Android SDK? I'm so lost.
