Why does my Windows XP machine not connect to the wireless network?

I have a Dell machine with Windows XP. For the past two days it's not been connecting to the wireless network. I have another machine with Windows 7 and it connects with the same wireless access point.

This started happening yesterday when I found a Virus (spy-agent.bw.gen!mem) on my machine which I think I managed to remove using Avira.
