Can I Send An Email From An Email Account That Has Email Forwarding Set Up?

Stick with me on this one, I couldn't think of a correct way to ask the question!

I have a domain registered, but it isn't attached to a hosting package or e-mail account. I will do soon, but not at the moment. Right now, I would like to set up an e-mail forwarding scenario. So, I could have the email [email protected] forward to [email protected]. I know this much is possible.

What I would like to do, is using the gmail account is to keep the forwarded e-mail address when replying. So when I reply to emails sent to gmail through my e-mail forwarding, I would like any reply to say it came from [email protected] instead of [email protected].

Is this possible? If so how would I go about it?

email is moved to junk-email folder even though sender is listed as safe
