12.04.1 Error After Upgrade

Just update my dell Inspiron to 12.04.1. Upon reboot I get the following error: The disk drive for / is not ready yet or not present. I press "S" to skip mount and then I get the folllowing error: the disk drive for /tmp is not ready yet or not present.

I have already tried the following from the maintanance shell prompt:

dpkg --configure -a

No luck same error.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
