Error occurs when Win 7 opens

I have an HP customized laptop barely a week old. Since yesterday it has given me an error message while opening Windows- every time. it gives error code (0x40000015) refers to an exception at location (0x0033fa4d).

I have 64 bit Win 7 and had been transferring files. And installing programs. 8 GB Ram 650 gb hard drive. Not sure which program caused this.

Q's that I've seen with this error code all say it occurs while shutting down.

A search re. error code told me to use a removal tool. When I downloaded the tool,I got a message saying it is not compatible with Windows 7. Is that really possible?

Search re. location code yielded nothing I am an intermediate user. I can restore to an earlier time but I don't know which program might do this again.

Microsoft Management Console stops working when I add snap-in to it
