Mouse scroll issue after kernel build

I have a Intel Cedar Trail netbook. For graphics to work, i had to build kernel 3.1 with the drivers. I followed the steps in this document

After doing that, now my graphics is fine, but my mouse scroll does not work. Is that because I have not build the kernel properly? Have i missed selecting some options in the kernel compile menu?

It will be nice if someone can help me. Also my wacom bamboo tablet is not recognized, i have installed the xserver-xorg-input-wacom drivers.
