Exasperated with Ubuntu 12.04 and BCM4311 driver.

HP2133 (was SUSE 10) Installed 12.04 in March. It ran well until November with no updates) then updates killed my wireless controller. Trolled forums & other for fix.

Tried

sudo -apt-get ing & gedit ing.

Finally got it working (on full update with STA driver) Hwew!—thought that was it, only to fail again after 3-4 days.

Tried all the fixes again but sudo -apt-get ing & gedit ing does not fix.

I'm not without experience either: first 'boot-loader' I/P from 20 switch panel, seq to 4096 bit core-store: run to I/P larger processes from paper tape reader. Gone thru acoustic-coupled networks-to-billboards (before 'the net') pre-DOS, DOS, Windows 3.1 & all the others.

This is a tough problem. Any advice?
