Problems with Windows Server 2012 Hyper-V

I install a windows server 2012 R2 and then install a virtual machine on hyper-v.

When i configure the virtual machine in hyper-v i configure 4gb of ram then few days later y change it to 12gb of Ram

Problem the problem is when i change the ram the virtual machine star working slower and i have to return the 4gb of ram.

i cretae a new virtual machine and i configure the virtual machine with 12gb of ram from start but still working to slow

do you know how to solve this problem in hyper-v?
