  • How to access web page hierarchy inside a application.

    Trying to figure out how to programmatically access the web pages in the application. Just something simple like a list of them would be awesome. I know I can create a list but I was wondering if there was something that could 'look' at the pages and add a new one to the list if you make a new page for the application. Example with 7 pages: Error Default Login Content Users ContactUs Admin I am half awake so I may be a little unclear. Maybe puting it all in a single question will be easier. How do you autogenerate a list of all webpages in your current application?

  • CSS - Opaque text on low opacity div?

    Hi, I have a div with 60% opacity, to show part of a background image behind the div. Because the opacity is at 60%, the text in that div appears as grey. Is there anyway to override this level and make the text appear black? Any advice appreciated. Thanks.

  • Combining JavaScript for Google Analytics with yours. (Asynchronous tracking.)

    I have a JavaScript file which is loaded up at the end of my HTML page. Rather than adding the script code for asynchronous tracking for Google in yet another script I would rather combine the two scripts together. I have not found one place in google documentation where it suggests to combine the script with yours.

Does this technology already exist in an open source project somewhere?     Hello, I am beginning in java (I'm learning in microedition) and I got this error: "int cannot be dereferenced" in the following class: class DCanvas extends Canvas{ public DCanvas(){ } public void drawString(String str, int x, int y, int r, int g, int b){ g.setColor(r, g, b); //The error is here g.drawString(str, x, y, 0); //and here } public void paint(Graphics g){ g.setColor(100, 100, 220); g.fillRect(0, 0, getWidth(), getHeight()); } } What am I doing wrong here? Well I came from PHP and ECMAScripts where I was able to pass my function arguments this way so I really don't understand this error.

  • MATLAB matrix replacement assignment gives error

    I tried to update some part of a matrix, I got the following error message: ??? Assignment has fewer non-singleton rhs dimensions than non-singleton subscripts My code tries to update some values of a matrix that represent a binary image. My code is as follows: outImage(3:5,2:4,1) = max(imBinary(3:5,2:4,1)); When I delete last parameter (1), this time I get the same error. I guess there is a mismatch between dimensions but I could not get it. outImage is a new object that is created at that time (I tried to create it before, but nothing changed). What may be wrong?

  • Flex: change item Style on certain Tree based ItemRenderers

So what I want to do is, to take the upper item and draw a line underneath it. But I struggling to address the itemRenderer... I have the index for the itemrenderer, but I dont get a instance of that object. Any help is appreciated! Markus

  • AjaxControlToolkit: HtmlEditor Textarea not showing in Chrome/Safari

    Hi, I am using the HtmlEditor Control included in the AjaxControlToolkit (patched version v62210 because I needed some of the included fixes). Unfortunately the textarea in the Html Editor control is never displayed in Chrome and Safari (both latest version). It doesn't matter if there is text in it or not. It does work on the AjaxControlToolkit Sample page with both browsers though. Any ideas?

  • Where to ask practical unit-testing questions?

    Before i can understand unit testing, i have to see real world examples. Every book, blog, article, or answer i've seen gives hypothetical examples that don't apply to the/my real world. i really don't want to flood StackOverflow with hundreds of questions all titled "How do i unit-test this?" There must be another place i can go to ask for real solutions. Where can i go to get practical answers to unit-testing questions? Note: i would give an example question, but then people would get grumpy when i asked the 200 follow-up questions.

    What is the procedure for securing a Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP Server (or even Perl) for production use? Other than setting the MySql password and the root password for linux what other (maybe not so obvious) steps should be taken? Also what steps can I take if I was going to be extra paranoid that may not normally be nessasary? this is for a basic single site use but must be secure. Thank you. (sorry if this was asked before)

  • Memory cache Ubuntu 9.10 server x86 doesn't work as expected

    We're using an Ubuntu 9.10 server to transfer Ghost-image files. We configured it only with Samba. And the DOS-clients connect to Samba. The latest updates are installed and so far the servers is running fine. When we image 10 pc's with the same image of 2 files of 2GB there's no disk activity. Everything is loaded in the RAM. There's 4GB in the server. But when we use 2 pc's with 2 different image files of 500 MB (8x) files then there's a lot of continuous disk activity. The speed is lower. So it seems that Ubuntu doesn't cache more then one big file. Are there settings to change this behaviour?

  • Force Windows to output only mono sound

    So, the 'right' half of my pair of headphones broke (the transducer+wire are fine, but the earpiece broke on the headband and so the earpiece won't sit over my ear). So now the right channel is being broadcast to my cube neighbors when I wear my headphones. Yes, they look very silly. Is there a way to ensure, in Windows XP (or Windows Media Player), that all stereo sound is downmixed to the left channel only (ie, in mono) so my neighbors don't hear my music? I know that I can setup the mixer to set the balance to 100% left, but information in the right channel won't be heard.

    I have a crystal report where it shows the Agent's activities throughout the day with a pie chart. In the details section it is displaying: Activity [string] StartedAt [DateTime] EndedAt [DateTime] Duration [The difference between EndedAt and StartedAt in seconds - Integer] Report data is GroupedBy Activity and summarized by Duration. Currently Duration is shown in seconds but I need to format it 02h:30m:22s:15ms. For that I wrote a custom function in Crystal Report in the Formula Workshop editor as follows, but it looks like the syntax is not right (Error message on keyword Long: "A variable type (for example, 'String') is missing."). Can someone help?   • MySQL: Changing order of auto-incremented primary keys?

    Hi, I have a table with a auto-incremented primary key: user_id. For a currently theoretical reason, I might need to change a user_id to be something else than it was when originally created through auto-incrementation. This means there's a possibility that the keys will not be in incremental order anymore: PK: 1 2 3 952 // changed key 4 5 6 7 I'm wondering whether this will cause problems, and whether MySQL reads something special to the incremental order of the keys, given that they should have come to existence in incremental order (which persists even when some rows are deleted). Assuming there are no associated foreignkey issues, or that these are under control, is there a problem with "messing with" the order of MySQL's autoincremented keys? Thank you.

    Hello Everyone, I was working on a site of Cakephp which was successfully delivered.But recently Client again appered and asked me to put the Wordpress blog in it,to cover up the Blogging thing in his site.He wants to share the authentication between the Cakephp and WP.Whoever registers in his site,then Logins in it and if he clicks on the Blog Tab,he must be redirected to the WP blog with the session still there.After some googling I have installed it in /app/webroot/blog folder but I am not able to edit the .htaccess file. Please help me in the right direction,that how to share the authentication betwenn Cake Php and Wordpress, and the second one how to customize the .htaccess file so that URL's look good.     A little question regarding performance in a Java web app. Let's assume I have a List<Rubrique> listRubriques with ten Rubrique objects. A Rubrique contains one list of products (List<product> listProducts) and one list of clients (List<Client> listClients). What exactly happens in memory if I do this: listRubriques.clear(); listRubriques = null; My point of view would be that, since listRubriques is empty, all my objects previously referenced by this list (including listProducts and listClients) will be garbage collected pretty soon. But since Collection in Java are a little bit tricky and since I have quite performance issues with my app i'm asking the question :) edit : let's assume now that my Client object contains a List<Client>. Therefore, I have kind of a circular reference between my objects. What would happen then if my listRubrique is set to null? This time, my point of view would be that my Client objects will become "unreachable" and might create a memory leak?

  • Writing to the middle of the file (without overwriting data)

    In windows is it possible through an API to write to the middle of a file without overwriting any data and without having to rewrite everything after that? If it's possible then I believe it will obviously fragment the file; how many times can I do it before it becomes a serious problem? If it's not possible what approach/workaround is usually taken? Re-writing everything after the insertion point becomes prohibitive really quickly with big (ie, gigabytes) files. Note: I can't avoid having to write to the middle. Think of the application as a text editor for huge files where the user types stuff and then saves. I also can't split the files in several smaller ones.
