  • How to append query parametr @runtime using jquery

    Hi All, Through javascript I am appending one query parameter to the page url and I am facing one strange behaiviour <div> <a href="Default3.aspx?id=2">Click me</a> </div> $(function () { window.location.href = window.location.href + "&q=" + "aa"; }); Now I am appending &q in default3.aspx and in this page the &q is getting added continuously I mean the url become http://localhost:1112/WebSite2/Default3.aspx?id=2&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa one would say just pass it like <a href="Default3.aspx?id=2&q=aa">Click me</a> but I cant do that , value of this query parameter is actually value of an html element which is in default3.aspx..I have to add it in run time. what are the ways to achieve this.   • How to use db4o IObjectContainer in a web application ? (Container lifetime ?)

    I am evaluating db4o for persistence for a ASP .NET MVC project. I am wondering how I should use the IObjectContainer in a web context with regards to object lifetime. As I see it, I can do one of the following: Create the IObjectContainer at application startup and keep the same instance for the entire application lifetime. Create one IObjectContainer per request. Start a server, and get a client IObjectContainer for each database interaction. What are the implications of these options, in terms of performance and concurrency ? Since the database is locked when an IObjectContainer is opened, I am pretty sure that option 2) would get me some problems with concurrency - would this also be the case for option 1 ? As I understand it, if I retrieve an object from an IObjectContainer, it must be saved by the same IObjectContainer instance - in order for db4o to identify it as being the same object. Therefore, If I choose option 3), I would have to retrieve the original object, make the necessary changes (copy data from a modified object), and then store it using the same IObjectContainer. Is this true ?

  • Best Practise to populate Fact and Dimension Tables from Transactional Flat DB

    Hi! I want to populate a star schema / cube in SSIS / SSAS. I prepared all my dimension tables and my fact table, primary keys etc. The source is a 'flat' (item level) table and my problem is now how to split it up and get it from one into the respective tables. I did a fair bit of googling but couldn't find a satisfying solution to the problem. One would imagine that this is a rather common problem/situation in BI development?! Thanks, alexl

  • Bound Command not firing on another viewModel? What Am I doing wrong?

    Hi I cannot seem to bind a command to a button.I have a treeview on the left showing Country City etc.. And I tabcontrol on the right. do I This uses 4 viewModels rootviewModel-ContinentViewModel-CountryViewModel-CityViewModel What I am building is based on http://www.codeproject.com/KB/WPF/TreeViewWithViewModel.aspx Now on one of the tabs I have a Toolbar with a button "TestButton" that I have mapped in zaml. This does not fire! The reason is not firing is because I m binding the RootViewModel but the command that is bound in zaml is in the cityViewModel. How Do I pass the datacontext from one view to the other? or how do I make the button fire. I need the command to be in the cityViewModel. Any Suggestions on how I bind it?   • extract and display contents of zip file in Adobe AIR. Urgent Please

    I have a requiremnt where my Air application loads ZIP files instead of swf. The zip contains all swf ,images and other files.   • How can I give a variable to an action listener?

    I have a static variable partner in the class. And I want to set a value of these variable whenever a radio button is pressed. This is the code I tried to use: for (String playerName: players) { option = new JRadioButton(playerName, false); option.addActionListener(new ActionListener(){ @Override public void actionPerformed(ActionEvent evt) { partner = playerName; } }); partnerSelectionPanel.add(option); group.add(option); } The problem here is that the actionPerformed does not see the variable playerName created in the loop. How can I pass this variable to the actionListener?

    I'm trying to print out the date in a certain format: NSDate *today = [[NSDate alloc] init]; NSDateFormatter *dateFormatter = [[NSDateFormatter alloc] init]; [dateFormatter setDateFormat:@"yyyyMMddHHmmss"]; NSString *dateStr = [dateFormatter stringFromDate:today]; If the iPhone is set to 24 hour time, this works fine, if on the other hand the user has set it to 24 hour time, then back to AM/PM (it works fine until you toggle this setting) then it appends the AM/PM on the end even though I didn't ask for it: 20080927030337 PM Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug with firmware 2.1? Edit 1: Made description clearer Edit 2 workaround: It turns out this is a bug, to fix it I set the AM and PM characters to "": [dateFormatter setAMSymbol:@""]; [dateFormatter setPMSymbol:@""];

  • Problem with Tapestry palette's arrow icons in IE8

    I'm using Tapestry to create pages for a web app, and have been using the palette component to add/delete items to/from a group. The page looks great in Firefox (Tapestry seems biased towards Firefox), but my customers will all be using Internet Explorer (any versions from 6, 7, & 8) and in IE8, the disabled arrow buttons look awful. In Firefox, they are faded, using an opacity setting of 25%, but this doesn't work in IE8 and instead you get a faded image with an ugly black border around the image. In tapestry-core's stylesheet (default.css), you have the following for a disabled arrow button. DIV.t-palette-controls BUTTON[disabled] IMG { filter: alpha(opacity = 25); -moz-opacity: .25; } These are clearly out of date, as -moz-opacity is no longer supported by Firefox (use opacity: 25 instead). The problem is with filter: "alpha(opacity = 25);". If I remove this, the arrows look fine in IE8, but they are not faded. I got the magic instruction: -ms-filter:"progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.Alpha(opacity=25)"; from various websites, but putting this in does not work either - the arrow icons are ugly again. The icon itself (distributed with Tapestry) just seems to be a regular PNG, but I'm not an expert on image formats, so maybe there's a problem there? Anyone else had this problem?

    Hi, I want to find a way to efficiently keep track of a lot of objects at once. One practical example I can think of would be a particle system. How are hundreds of particles kept track of? I think I'm on the right track, I found the term 'instancing' and I also learned about flyweights. Hopefully somebody can shed some light on this and share some techniques with me. Thanks.

  • Self-modify the classpath within a Scala script?

    I'm trying to replace a bunch of Linux shell scripts with Scala scripts. One of the remaining challenges is how to scan an entire directory of JARs and place them into the classpath. Currently this is done in the shell script prior to invoking the scala JVM. I'd like to eliminate the shell script completely. Is there an elegant scala idiom for this?     How can i get the 3rd nested array (in this case the array starting with "yellow") the array looks like this: [ ["Large", ["yellow", "green", "Blue"], ["$55.00", "$55.00", "$55.00"] ["Medium", ["yellow", "green", "Blue", "Red"], ["$55.00", "$55.00", "$55.00", "$55.00"] ] ["small", ["yellow", "green", "Blue", "Red"], ["$55.00", "$55.00", "$55.00", "$55.00"] ] ] I am trying to get to the ["yellow", "green", "Blue"] array's length and loop to get the values for(i=0; colorNSize.dataArray[0][0][1].length<i; i++){ alert(colorNSize.dataArray[colorNSize.Sizeindex][0][0][i])// alert's nothing } It actually alerts the length of "Large" which is "5" is there a limit for nested arrays? Can this be done?

    Hi, I am writing a Core Data-based iPhone app and I am new to Objective-C. I have a bug that I am really struggling to nail.
