• UITextView text disappear

    - by user153412
    Hi, i create an uitextview dynamically then i write my text into it. Sometime, when i create the uitextview, the cursor disappear and i see no text in it. If i run the application again, i can see the text inside the textview that i've created before. I've tried to set the cursor position to zero or scroll the text to the top but it doesn't work... Any suggestion? Here is a screen capture. You can see the gray uitextview, the keyboard (the textview is the firstresponder) but no cursor or text. http://yfrog.com/hqschermata20100325a11213p PS: i'm sorry for my bad english.

  • PHP mySQL count number of fields not empty

    - by Pez Cuckow
    I have a database of users where they can send messages to other users (up to four) and the ID of the message they sent is in their user row. e.g. Name, Email, Msg1, Msg2, Msg3, Msg4 Pez, [email protected], 1, 55, 42, 5 //Send 4 messages Steve, [email protected], 0, 0, 0, 0 //Send 0 messages Leon, [email protected], 3, 0, 3, 5 //Send 3 messages How in a MySQL query can I get the amount of those message rows that are not empty or not equal to 0, allowing me to order by that? So it would return Pez - 4 Mesasges Leon - 3 Messages Steve - 0 Messages Im my mind something like order by count(!empty(msg1)+!empty(msg2)+!empty(msg3)+!empty(msg4)) Many thanks,

  • Print Preview Control used in a custom Print Preview Dialog.

    - by Kildareflare
    I have successfully implemented printing and print preview for my app using the PrintDocument, PrintDialog and PrintPreviewDialog classes of .NET. However my app uses a toolkit to improve the appearance of the standard .NET controls. There are versions of most .NET controls in the toolkit, but none for the Print controls. Therefore to ensure that the appearance of these controls matches the rest of the app I am creating a custom PrintPreviewDialog based on a toolkit form and embedding a .NET PrintPrewviewControl in it. My problem is that the PrintPreviewControl always shows "No pages to display". I had no trouble getting this to work using the .NET PrintPreviewDialog and cannot see what I am doing wrong. This is a .NET 2.0 PrintPreviewControl and so I know that I need to call InvalidatePreview() after assigning the PrintDocument. However it does not seem to matter where i place it, the PrintPage event handler never gets called... EDIT: I've just noticed that while the original PrintDocument m_printDocument shows a PrintPageHandler in its properties, the m_printPreviewControl.Document does not. Any ideas why it is being lost..? public class PrintEngine { ...rest of class... public PrintEngine() { m_printDoc.PrintPage += new PrintPageEventHandler(printDoc_PrintPage); } public void PrintPreview() { //ORIGINAL CODE USING .NET DIALOG WORK OK //PrintPreviewDialog dlg1 = new PrintPreviewDialog(); //dlg1.Document = m_printDoc; //PrepareImageForPrinting(); //dlg1.ShowDialog(); //CODE USING MY CUSTOM DIALOG DO NOT WORK? MyPrintPreviewDialog dlg2 = new MyPrintPreviewDialog(); dlg2.Document = m_printDoc; PrepareImageForPrinting(); //Creates the m_printImage List dlg2.ShowDialog(); } private void printDoc_PrintPage(object sender, PrintPageEventArgs e) { e.Graphics.DrawImage(m_printImages[m_currentPage], new Point(0, 0)); m_currentPage++; e.HasMorePages = m_currentPage < m_pagesHigh; } }//end PrintEngine class public class MyPrintPreviewDialog : KryptonForm { public PrintDocument Document { get { return m_printPreviewControl.Document; } set { m_printPreviewControl.Document = value; m_printPreviewControl.InvalidatePreview(); } } public MyPrintPreviewDialog() { InitializeComponent(); m_printPreviewControl = new PrintPreviewControl(); m_printPreviewControl.StartPage = 0; } private void MyPrintPreviewDialog_Load(object sender, EventArgs e) { m_printPreviewControl.Document.DefaultPageSettings = new PageSettings(); m_printPreviewControl.Document.PrinterSettings = new PrinterSettings(); m_printPreviewControl.InvalidatePreview(); } }//end MyPrintPreviewDialog class

  • Interpolating Large Datasets On the Fly

    - by Karl
    Interpolating Large Datasets I have a large data set of about 0.5million records representing the exchange rate between the USD / GBP over the course of a given day. I have an application that wants to be able to graph this data or maybe a subset. For obvious reasons I do not want to plot 0.5 million points on my graph. What I need is a smaller data set (100 points or so) which accurately (as possible) represents the given data. Does anyone know of any interesting and performant ways this data can be achieved? Cheers, Karl

  • How to get the value of a field in PHP?

    - by user272899
    I need to get the value of a field; I think I am along the right lines but not quite sure this is the proper code. The "Delete Movie" button is where I am trying to get the value of that row like so: value="'.$row['id'].'" Can you help? <?php //connect to database mysql_connect($mysql_hostname,$mysql_user,$mysql_password); @mysql_select_db($mysql_database) or die("<b>Unable to connect to specified database</b>"); //query databae $query = "select * from movielist"; $result=mysql_query($query) or die('Error, insert query failed'); $row=0; $numrows=mysql_num_rows($result); echo "<table border=1>"; echo "<tr> <td>ID</td> <td>Type</td> <td>Title</td> <td>Description</td> <td>Imdb URL</td> <td>Year</td> <td>Genre</td> <td>Actions</td> </tr>"; while($row<$numrows) { $id=mysql_result($result,$row,"id"); $type=mysql_result($result,$row,"type"); $title=mysql_result($result,$row,"title"); $description=mysql_result($result,$row,"description"); $imdburl=mysql_result($result,$row,"imdburl"); $year=mysql_result($result,$row,"year"); $genre=mysql_result($result,$row,"genre"); ?> <tr> <td><?php echo $id; ?></td> <td><?php echo $type; ?></td> <td><?php echo $title; ?></td> <td><?php echo $description; ?></td> <td><?php echo $imdburl; ?></td> <td><?php echo $year; ?></td> <td><?php echo $genre; ?></td> <td> <!-- Delete Movie Button --> <form style="display: inline;" action="delete/" method="post" onsubmit="return movie_delete()"> <input type="hidden" name="moviedeleteid" value="'.$row['id'].'"> <button type="submit" class="tooltip table-button ui-state-default ui-corner-all" title="Delete trunk"><span class="ui-icon ui-icon-trash"></span></button> </form> </td> </tr> <?php $row++; } echo "</table>"; ?>

  • Is there a way to do 'correct' arithmetical rounding in .NET? / C#

    - by Markus
    I'm trying to round a number to it's first decimal place and, considering the different MidpointRounding options, that seems to work well. A problem arises though when that number has sunsequent decimal places that would arithmetically affect the rounding. An example: With 0.1, 0.11..0.19 and 0.141..0.44 it works: Math.Round(0.1, 1) == 0.1 Math.Round(0.11, 1) == 0.1 Math.Round(0.14, 1) == 0.1 Math.Round(0.15, 1) == 0.2 Math.Round(0.141, 1) == 0.1 But with 0.141..0.149 it always returns 0.1, although 0.146..0.149 should round to 0.2: Math.Round(0.145, 1, MidpointRounding.AwayFromZero) == 0.1 Math.Round(0.146, 1, MidpointRounding.AwayFromZero) == 0.1 Math.Round(0.146, 1, MidpointRounding.ToEven) == 0.1 Math.Round(0.146M, 1, MidpointRounding.ToEven) == 0.1M Math.Round(0.146M, 1, MidpointRounding.AwayFromZero) == 0.1M I tried to come up with a function that addresses this problem, and it works well for this case, but of course it glamorously fails if you try to round i.e. 0.144449 to it's first decimal digit (which should be 0.2, but results 0.1.) (That doesn't work with Math.Round() either.) private double round(double value, int digit) { // basically the old "add 0.5, then truncate to integer" trick double fix = 0.5D/( Math.Pow(10D, digit+1) )*( value = 0 ? 1D : -1D ); double fixedValue = value + fix; // 'truncate to integer' - shift left, round, shift right return Math.Round(fixedValue * Math.Pow(10D, digit)) / Math.Pow(10D, digit); } I assume a solution would be to enumerate all digits, find the first value larger than 4 and then round up, or else round down. Problem 1: That seems idiotic, Problem 2: I have no idea how to enumerate the digits without a gazillion of multiplications and subtractios. Long story short: What is the best way to do that?

  • iphone: unrecognized selector sent to instance

    - by eshalev
    I am new to objective C, So maybe there is some basic thing that I am missing about selectors. I would like to understand the basic concept behind this error as I have not found an general error reference. I am getting this error when using: [CloseButton addTarget:PageContents action:@selector(CloseButtonPressed) forControlEvents:UIControlEventTouchUpInside]; and then later: - (void)CloseButtonPressed:(id)sender{ UIAlertView *someError = [[UIAlertView alloc] initWithTitle: @"Comment" message: @"hello" delegate: self cancelButtonTitle: @"Ok" otherButtonTitles: nil]; [someError show]; [someError release]; }

  • PyGTK: Packing widgets before tabs in a gtk.Notebook

    - by Ben Ashton
    Basically, what I want to do is put some buttons before the tabs in a gtk.Notebook. I tried making my own notebook type widget and it worked well, but it would have required lots more work to make it as flexible as I would like, also it wasn't as efficient. Here is a mock-up of what I'm trying to achieve: http://imagebin.ca/view/84SC0d.html Any ideas would be much appreciated, thanks. Ben.

  • Populate properties decorated with an attribute

    - by PUT
    Are there any frameworks that assist me with this: (thinking that perhaps StructureMap can help me) Whenever I create a new instance of "MyClass" or any other class that inherits from IMyInterface I want all properties decorated with [MyPropertyAttribute] to be populated with values from a database or some other data storage using the property Name in the attribute. public class MyClass : IMyInterface { [MyPropertyAttribute("foo")] public string Foo { get; set; } } [AttributeUsage(AttributeTargets.Property)] public sealed class MyPropertyAttribute : System.Attribute { public string Name { get; private set; } public MyPropertyAttribute(string name) { Name = name; } }

  • RegExp: want to find all links that do not end in ".html"

    - by grovel
    Hi, I'm a relative novice to regular expressions (although I've used them many times successfully). I want to find all links in a document that do not end in ".html" The regular expression I came up with is: href=\"([^"]*)(?<!html)\" In Notepad++, my editor, href=\"([^"]*)\" finds all the links (both those that end in "html" and those that do not). Why doesn't negative lookbehind work? I've also tried lookahead: href=\"[^"]*(?!html\") but that didn't work either. Can anybody help? Cheers, grovel

  • Is 30 calls / second a lot for one IIS server?

    - by Lieven Cardoen
    We have a RIA application that 300 clients concurrently use in an intranet environment. Together they make 30 calls / second to IIS (asp.net) (actually it's 60 but calls are loadbalanced over two IIS servers). Half of the calls is getting an asset (Caching Profile is used so most of the time cache is hit), the other half is saving data to a sql server. Retrieving an asset is done with a aspx page. Saving the data happens via WebORB, asp.net and Sql Server. So some processing is needed by WebORB (amf decoding, GZIP, ...). We also use Spring.NET, and some of the container objects have a request scope (not a lot). IIS servers -- Virtual machines, 4 CPU, 2 gb RAM. They are based on Windows 2008 x64 SP2 Enterprise Edition. Sql Server 2008 is used. Apparently CPU of both IIS serers is constantly around 60-70%. Now, my question, is the load of 60-70% acceptable and how could we possible bring that down to less % (maybe using only one IIS server)? + Is 2 gb RAM enough? Assets can be up to 20mb, but on average, they are about 30kb. (the load of 60-70% is achieved with assets around 30kb). The data that gets saved with weborb is very small (2kb) and is just one object.
