  • remove image from tableViewCell created programatically

    Hello, I would like to move an imageView contained on a cell and it works but creating a new image at new position keeping old image (then two are shown). How could I remove old one?? used code: UIImage *cellImage = [UIImage imageNamed:(@"%@", showIconName)]; UIImageView *imageViewToPutInCell = [[UIImageView alloc] initWithImage:cellImage]; imageViewToPutInCell.frame = CGRectMake(iconPos, 7, cellImage.size.width, cellImage.size.height); [cell.contentView addSubview:imageViewToPutInCell]; every time that I reload tableView, it creates a new overlapped image. [cell.contentView removeFromSuperview]; used before, removes it but then new image is not created. Please help!! Thanx

  • UIImagePicker on full screen on iPad

    For my tests, I need to create a simple app on the iPad to step 1. loads an image from the Photo library (UIImagePickerController). step 2. Then, this image is converted into texture and displayed into an OpenGL ES view. I started to define the app with the XCode Open GL ES template. Step 2 is Okay. But I have a problem launching the UIImagePickerController (step 1). On iPad, to create a UIImagePickerController, we need to use a UIPopoverController. But to create a UIPopover, we need to attach it to a content view controller In my app, I dont want to define a specific view controller (Navigation or SplitView or TabBar...). I just need to have the UIImagePicker displayed on full screen when launching the app. I am looking for a programatical solution with a minimum of lines of code added from the Open GL ES iPad template, to perform step 1 (step 2 is okay for me). any code available?   • Submit HTML form with GET method with full action path

    Hello. I am trying to submit a form with method GET and action "index.php?id=3". The problem is that it jumps to the url specified but it cuts off "?id=3" part. I need that so I can identify an user. Any ideas on how I could submit the whole url ? I don't want to change this method, by design is much complex than I told you here. It's a simple version. Any ideas ? Thanks.

  • How to use SAPI's SetNotifyCallbackFunction() in a CLR project with Windows Form as the interface wi

    Hi, I'm trying to write a dll plugin for Winamp. I'm using Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 and Microsoft SAPI 5.1. I created the interface window using Windows Form (System::Windows::Forms::Form). I tried to use SetNotifyWIndowMessage(), but the method is never called when I speak to the microphone. So I tried using SetNotifyCallbackFunction(), but I got a compile error saying that I should use '&' in front of the method name in the parameter. However, when I add the '&', I got another compile error saying that i can't take the address of the method unless creating delegate instance. What should I do? Someone please help me..

  • Invoking play on a QTMovie causes screensaver to deactivate on Snow Leopard

    I'm trying to port a working Leopard screensaver to Snow Leopard but it's deactivating after about half a second. The screensaver seems to deactivate upon invoking play on a QTMovie. And it deactivates both upon -play on the QTMovie object itself, and -play:self on the QTMovieView. If I don't actually call -play on the object, the screensaver does not deactivate and sits still on the first frame of the movie. Setting up the same code in a regular Cocoa Application works fine, and the screensaver also works fine in preview mode in the System Preferences. Any help is greatly appreciated.

  • Interfacing Android Nexus One with Arduino + BlueSmirf

    I'm a bit new to all of this, so bear with me - I'd really appreciate your help. I am trying to link the Android Nexus One with an arduino (Duemilanove) that is connected to a BlueSmirf. I have a program that is simply outputting the string "Hello Bluetooth" to whatever device the BlueSmirf is connected to. Here is the Arduino program: void setup(){ Serial.begin(115200); int i; } void loop(){Serial.print("Hello Bluetooth!"); delay(1000); } One my computer BT terminal I can see the message and connect no problem. The trouble is with my android code. I can connect to the device with android, but when I look at the log it is not displaying "Hello Bluetooth".   • PHP/MySQL User system w/ groups.

    I have a user system set up in a 'users' table, and I have groups set up in a 'groups' table. Essentially, I want users to be able to join any and all the groups that they want, in the same was as one would on facebook. How would one go about structuring this in a mysql/php database system? Just a quick summary would be helpful! I've looked around, but I can only find info on creating 'groups' where the users just have a sort of 1, 2 or 3 permission rank. Thanks!

  • Compile rt73 driver (serialmonkey) on Ubuntu

    Hello. I'm trying to compile some WiFi drivers I downloaded from SerialMonkey: http://rt2x00.serialmonkey.com/wiki/index.php/Downloads It's about a driver for a Ralink rt73 chipset. I already got the build-essentials and the kernel-headers on my computer. When I try to compile the driver using the "make" command I get this error: root@curro-ubuntu:/usr/src/rt73-cvs-2009041204/Module# sudo make make[1]: Entering directory `/usr/src/linux-headers-2.6.31-20-generic' Building modules, stage 2. MODPOST 0 modules make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/linux-headers-2.6.31-20-generic' rt73.ko failed to build! make: *** [module] Error 1 I've looked over the Internet and haven't found anything yet, I don't know why am I getting this error.     Cannot help expressing my curiosity about this issue. First of all, Russia, a country, I live in, as far as I understand, is a virgin land on this matter. Motivation is purely developed here and options are not existed at all. So, I am absolutely not aware about this. I roughly understand the mechanism of options. And, as far as I understand, the major white spot in the whole that story, how much will a singe share cost. How much will I get from all those N x 1000 options? I see two ways one can get money from the business: 1. Business goes IPO !!! 2. Business is sold as a whole to another owner. Next way is rather questionable about getting money: 3. Business goes without IPO "forever" (a generation would rather die before it IPO). I am also interested some explanations about situation ?3. Situation ?1 is clear - market decides everything, you either wait for stock price you satisfied or sell everything now. But topic is rather about ?2 - business is sold to another business. I am considering the following model: I am well payed specialist with company X. Somebody, with a company Y makes me an offer. Y is a startup. They cannot offer me much money and cannot overbid my salary, but they grow fast and hope to be bought soon. Instead of money, they offer me N x 1000 options. My problem is "how to assess this offer against my current, stable and well-payed job"? Are there any average cost of virtual share during selling one company to another? Are there any average stock price companies prefer to go to IPO? Are there any barriers against spreading the value of sock before selling the company or IPO (hiring too much people with options package too fast will decrease each package value, I mean)? Are there any good articles with explanations? Is all that somehow written in the law?

  • Synchronized IEnumerator<T>

    I'm putting together a custom SynchronizedCollection<T> class so that I can have a synchronized Observable collection for my WPF application. The synchronization is provided via a ReaderWriterLockSlim, which, for the most part, has been easy to apply. The case I'm having trouble with is how to provide thread-safe enumeration of the collection. I've created a custom IEnumerator<T> nested class that looks like this: private class SynchronizedEnumerator : IEnumerator<T> { private SynchronizedCollection<T> _collection; private int _currentIndex; internal SynchronizedEnumerator(SynchronizedCollection<T> collection) { _collection = collection; _collection._lock.EnterReadLock(); _currentIndex = -1; } #region IEnumerator<T> Members public T Current { get; private set;} #endregion #region IDisposable Members public void Dispose() { var collection = _collection; if (collection != null) collection._lock.ExitReadLock(); _collection = null; } #endregion #region IEnumerator Members object System.Collections.IEnumerator.Current { get { return Current; } } public bool MoveNext() { var collection = _collection; if (collection == null) throw new ObjectDisposedException("SynchronizedEnumerator"); _currentIndex++; if (_currentIndex >= collection.Count) { Current = default(T); return false; } Current = collection[_currentIndex]; return true; } public void Reset() { if (_collection == null) throw new ObjectDisposedException("SynchronizedEnumerator"); _currentIndex = -1; Current = default(T); } #endregion } My concern, however, is that if the Enumerator is not Disposed, the lock will never be released. In most use cases, this is not a problem, as foreach should properly call Dispose. It could be a problem, however, if a consumer retrieves an explicit Enumerator instance. Is my only option to document the class with a caveat implementer reminding the consumer to call Dispose if using the Enumerator explicitly or is there a way to safely release the lock during finalization? I'm thinking not, since the finalizer doesn't even run on the same thread, but I was curious if there other ways to improve this. EDIT After thinking about this a bit and reading the responses (particular thanks to Hans), I've decided this is definitely a bad idea. The biggest issue actually isn't forgetting to Dispose, but rather a leisurely consumer creating deadlock while enumerating. I now only read-lock long enough to get a copy and return the enumerator for the copy.

    We are looking to turn an internal tool we have developed into a Visual Studio Package that we would sell to other developers. The tool will impact the custom editor and/or custom languages. Visual Studio 2010 has redesigned the API's heavily to simplify much of the work involved for these types of integration but the key question we have is: What is the typical adoption pace of new Visual Studio versions? Is there any information out there on adoption rates based on history? How many shops are still using 2005? This will help us to consider whether to target just 2010 using the new APIs or whether trying to go back and support 2008 (maybe 2005) and testing it forward.

    In my application I use some icons. Where should I store the path of the directory containing those icons ? The icons are used in different classes so it doesn't really make sense to store them in one of those classes in particular. I read that global variables are evil, but is it acceptable to use a class (eg Commons) containing only public static final fields to store this king of data ? What solution is used in professional applications ?
