  • C#, Lotus Interop: Getting Message Information

    I'm using Interop.Domino.dll to retrieve E-mails from a Lotus "Database" (Term used loosely). I'm having some difficulty in retrieving certain fields and wonder how to do this properly. I've been using NotesDocument.GetFirstItem to retrieve Subject, From and Body. My issues in this regard are thus: How do I retrieve Reply-To address? Is there a list of "Items" to get somewhere? I can't find it. How do I retrieve friendly names for From and Reply-To addresses? When I retrieve Body this way, it's formatted wierdly with square bracket sets ([]) interspersed randomly across the message body, and parts of the text aren't where I expect them.   • How can I set a ringtone for an individual contact on Android ?

    How can I set a ringtone for an individual contact on Android ? I have found a way to set the default ringtone that applies to all contacts without an individual ringtone. But that is not what i'm trying to accomplish. I want the application to have a button "Apply ringtone to contact". When i click, I start an activityForResult displaying a list of all contacts on the phone. When a contact is selected, the contact activity closes and returns with a uri to the contact. Now all the app needs to do is to apply the selected ringtone to that spesific contact. The code for displaying and selecting contacts by an activity is already implemented and seems to work on with the app. Its only the last part left, and I have no clue about how to solve this. Any help would be usefull.

  • LLVM JIT segfaults. What am I doing wrong?

  • Conditional insert as a single database transaction in HSQLDB 1.8?

    I'm using a particular database table like a "Set" data structure, i.e., you can attempt to insert the same row several times, but it will only contain one instance. The primary key is a natural key. For example, I want the following series of operations to work fine, and result in only one row for Oklahoma: insert into states_visited (state_name) values ('Oklahoma'); insert into states_visited (state_name) values ('Texas'); insert into states_visited (state_name) values ('Oklahoma'); I am of course getting an error due to the duplicate primary key on subsequent inserts of the same value. Is there a way to make the insert conditional, so that these errors are not thrown? I.e. only do the the insert if the natural key does not already exist? I know I could do a where clause and a subquery to test for the row's existence first, but it seems that would be expensive. That's 2 physical operations for one logical "conditional insert" operation. Anything like this in SQL? FYI I am using HSQLDB 1.8

  • QoS basics on a Cisco ASA

    Could someone briefly explain how to use QoS on Cisco ASA 5505? I have the basics of policing down, but what about shaping and priorities? Basically what I'm trying to do is carve out some bandwidth for my VPN subnets (in an object-group called priority-traffic). I've seen this Cisco QoS document, however configuring shaping and priority-queue don't seem to have any effects in my test. A full download of the linux kernel from kernel.org will boost a ping to a server via VPN sky high. Policing has been successful in passing this test, although it doesn't seem as efficient (I cap non-vpn traffic at 3 of my 4.5 megabits of bandwidth). Am I misunderstanding the results of the test? I think there is some simple concept I'm not grasping here.   • Numeric UIDs/GIDs in ACLs on OS X server (10.6)

    Hi, On one (old OS X 10.4) server I'm tarring up some files which have ACLs. I'm then using ``tar -xp'' to untar the archive onto a new 10.6 server, which doesn't have any users/groups configured on it yet except the default admin (UID 501) (there's a reason for that, don't ask!). Obviously this means an "ls -lne" will list files and ACLs with numeric UIDs and GIDs. Now for the normal file permissions it makes sense: you get UIDs like "1037". And for some ACLs, it also makes sense: you get things like "AAAABBBB-CCCC-DDDD-EEEE-FFFF00000402" for groups (0x402 = GID 1026) and "FFFFEEEE-DDDD-CCCC-BBBB-AAAA000001F5" for users (0x1F5 = UID 501). However, some ACLs have a UIDs like "E51DA674-AE70-41BC-8340-9B06C243A262" or GIDs like "0A3FCD24-0012-46FA-B085-88519E55EF29" and I have absolutely no idea how to translate these IDs back into something that could be matched back to the original IDs (UID 1072 and GID 1047 respectively in this example). Can anyone help me translate these weird long hex strings? (Basically we're moving from local users to an Active Directory setup, so I want to move all files to the new server with permissions intact, then chmod, chgrp and set ACLs such that we translate old IDs to the new AD IDs. Hence needing some way to map between the sets. I don't believe there's an easier way to do this?) Many thanks, Oliver.

  • Windows Server 2003 can't see Vista machine

    Hi there, I've got a real PITA problem that I'm sure has a really simple solution. I have a Windows Server 2003 machine that needs to be able to see the network name of a Vista box - but refuses to. It can see the Vista box (and even access its shared folder) if I enter the Vista box's IP address. Problem is: SQL Server refuses to do Replication with anything other than the "actual server name". That means that the 2003 machine needs to be able to connect through the Vista machines network name... not just its IP address. I'm guessing it's a simple incompatibility between OS's, but I'm sure there's got to be a simple way of fixing it. Note: Yes, the Vista machine can connect to 2003 machine, no problem. And other machines in the office can connect to both the Vista machine and 2003 (they have more recent OS's). Thanks for any help!

  • How do I disable aalert beeps

    My HP pavilion laptop is getting pretty old and the speakers no longer work properly. So I've disabled all audio devices, including disabling the light-touch volume controls at boot-up. The one sound still here that I can't get rid of is teh alert beep whenever there's an error. It's annoying at the best of times, but when your laptop has no other sounds at all it's intensly irritating! Nothing I chaneg in the windows settings or in the BIOS seems to have any effect. Any ideas how to switch them off?

    I am running a FOXCONN AM2+ M61PMV with an AMD Athlon II X2 240 windows 7 ultimate 64 bit From startup I have hit the del key and the options for enabling the Hardware virtulization are not there. I have checked the Microsoft tool that says I can run virtual and i have checked SecurAble, that says yes. But I have an open case w/microsoft (they've been trying for a week [7 tech support people later]) and they're saying that i need to ensure that the hardware is enabled. Where do I go to see? is there another way besides from the start up? HELP!

    I have a new windows 7 Home Premium machine that is in a different room than my main computer area. As such I have to use a bridge and another router. Everything is working wonderfully except I cannot access the SAMBA drive with the new machine. I know that SAMBA is accessible as an older WinXP machine can access it.   • C#: Recurrence Calandar issue of Lotus notes

    Hi all, I am creating a Recurrence pattern in calendar items. But there is a issue as before clicking "Save and Send Invitations" button of Lotus notes 8.5, i am able to view the "RepeatForUnit" field from document property and based on its value i am identifying the Recurrence type like (D: for daily, W: for Weekly, M: for monthly etc). But, After clicking on the "Save and Send Invitations" button, the Recurrence is getting saved but after that, i am unable to get the "RepeatForUnit" field in Document Properties. Kindly help me, how to identify the Recurrence type and the related fields. Note: I am using Domino.dll using C#.

    Hi, I want to programaticaly change some values to NSF item and then want to save it.(i.e to edit NSF File and then save the editions) for example: I want to set Sender name of all mails to "[email protected]".(Using Domino.dll). But when i am reading edited Nsf (copying modified file on different location ) file programatically it is showing changed values.(Why changes are not visible here ?)

    hi All, I am using Domino.dll to access a NSF file in C#.NET 2.0 I am using multiple thread to access 4 NSF files at a time, its working fine for small NSF files, but if i try to access large NSF files i get the Out of Memory Exception and Maximum number of memory segments that Notes can support has been exceeded. This exception usually occurs when i access NotesDocument object from a large NSFVIewFolder in a while loop. I am releasing the instance of the NotesDocument by using the Marshal.ReleaseComObject(NotesDocument); still it throws the same exception. My goal is to access multiple NSF files at a time (MAX 4 NSF files at a time) for large NSF files (may be in GB). Kindly help me, if you got some solution. Thanks.

    Many windows APIs take a pointer to a buffer and a size element but the result needs to go into a c++ string. I don't see any way to use a string directly without going via a vector unless I missed something? It works fine, but somehow seems a little ugly. The question isn't about that particular API, it's just a convenient example.
