  • Change the output format of zsh's time

    Hi Folks, I've just switched to zsh. However, I really don't like how the time builtin command also outputs the command that it's timing. I much prefer the bash style output. Anyone know how to switch it over?   • HP/IBM alternative to Buffalo iSCSI TerraStation?

    I'm looking at virtualising some of our infrastructure in order to allow for more resiliance and future expandability. We have successfully virtualised on single servers with Direct Attached Storage and are now looking for a more future proof solution using a high powered host (or two) and a SAN (or two). I'm thinking that the host machine will probably be an HP ProLiant DL360 G7 (all of our exisiting infrastructure is HP). Unfortunately, I am new to the world of SANs. From what I can see, the Buffalo Terrastation III is all I would need in order to setup an iSCSI SAN for VMWare to use. However, I'm a little reticent to go that way as it's a bit too "entry level" for my liking. In particular I would be very keen for more redundancy, power, networking, etc. I'm also very aware that you "get what you pay for". Therefore, can anyone reccommend equivalents from the big boys? HP/IBM? I have searched high and low on the HP site and seen many options but am struggling to work out if it is all the hardware I will need. Some options appear to need separate controllers from disk enclosures, etc.

    I need an open source web application that allows users to view .ics calendars I am hosting a calendar with DAViCal, and users can view/edit calendars with their own clients (like Apple iCal or Mozilla Sunbird), but I want a web app that will display the public calendars so people w/o a user account can view the calendar just by visiting a URL. Requirements: Open source web app: something I can host right along with DAViCal Human-readable calendar: i.e. it has a day/week/month view to visualize calendar events

  • ASP.NET Security Exception when Switch IIS7 to Use UNC Path for Content

    I have a Windows Server 2008 R2 box running IIS7.5 with Medium Trust configured for ASP.NET. When I have the website running from local content (e.g.: c:\inetpub\wwwroot) everything works fine. When I change IIS to use a UNC path for the content (e.g.: \\computer\wwwroot) I get the following error: Security Exception Description: The application attempted to perform an operation not allowed by the security policy. To grant this application the required permission please contact your system administrator or change the application's trust level in the configuration file. Exception Details: System.Security.SecurityException: Request for the permission of type 'System.Data.SqlClient.SqlClientPermission, System.Data, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089' failed. I'm trying to figure out why ASP.NET/IIS would allow for the SQL call when using local content but not when using a UNC path. Any ideas what I need to do to use a UNC path from IIS7 properly?

  • Cisco VPN stops Windows 7 Browsing

    My browsing and other 'internet' activity (dropbox,digsby etc) halts when I connect to my office VPN using Cisco Systems VPN client Version 5.0.04.0300 on my Windows 7 Ultimate.The only option left for me at this time is to use my office proxy to enable the connection back. I tried doing the ucheck "Use default gateway on remote network" solution as mentioned on a previous post Windows 7 VPN stops web browser but I don't see that option on the properties of "Cisco systems VPN adapter" connection properties.     Hi, I am using a Javascript function to get the values of a URL to pass to jQuery using the function below: function getUrlVars() { var vars = [], hash; var hashes = window.location.href.slice(window.location.href.indexOf('?') + 1).split('&'); for(var i = 0; i < hashes.length; i++) { hash = hashes[i].split('='); vars.push(hash[0]); vars[hash[0]] = hash[1]; } return vars; } And then setting the value like this: var type = getUrlVars()["type"] This all works perfectly, however I have just come into a situation where I need to get multiple values, one of my form elements are checkboxes where multiple values can be checked, so my URL will look something like this: http://www.domain.com/test.php?type=1&cuisine[]=23&cuisine[]=43&name=test If I alert out the cuisine value using the function above I only ever get the final value: alert (getUrlVars()["cuisine[]"]); Would alert "43". What I would like it to be is a comma delimited string of all "cuisine" values. ie in the above example "23,43" Any help very welcome! In case any solution requires it I am using PHP 5.3 and Jquery 1.4

    I have a custom web part placed on one of the application page in SharePoint. This page it seems already have a function which gets executed on windows beforeunload javascript event. My problem is that i too need to execute some client side code (to prompt user for any unsaved changes in my web part) on windows beforeunload event. How can i achieve this ? I mean let the default event be fired as well as call my function also ? Appreciate any help. Nikhil.

If you've noticed i commented a portion of the xaml code. with that i could bind(with ease) the id to the tag.But it won't work and the MenuItem.ItemContainerStyle is the one working but then i'm lost: Question 1 : how do i create a handler method for a click event of a submenu that has the names of the groups? Question 2 : how do i get the clicked group id to work with? thanks for reading and kindly help me in this

If yes, please explain the difference in the way the elements will be stored in the table?

    In my web application i have statistics which shown for each user separately ie. posts made , posts made today , articles started by and so on... Each user has his own special statistics. What is more flexible and "right" to work with one huge DataTable in Cache with whole data from all users and then loop thought DataTable to find certain user data or to cache each user ie. cacheObj + userID... User can filter his own results by dates and types which is why i need flexible and reliable solution thanks...

  • How to force ListView to show first page programmatically

    I have a paged ASP.NET ListView. The data shown is filtered, which can be controlled by a form. When the filter form changes, I create a new query, and perform a DataBind. The problem however, when I go to the next page, and set a filter, the ListView shows "No data was returned". That is not weird, because after the filter is applied, there is only one page of data. So what I want to do is reset the pager. Is that a correct solution to the problem? And how do I do that?
