• How to login to gdata in GWT application deployed on GAE?

  I want to use the Google account login to retrieve the informations to be used for Google's gdata api so that when I start the application deployed on Google App Engine the user is asked for its login and I can then use this information on the server side to specify the credentials for Google Calendar login (through gdata api). How can I do that? I tried using Client login but it seems that there's no way to get password information from che Client object on the server side... thank you.

  Hi all! I was wondering about a possibility to find and raise some window in KDE4 with shortcut. Currently in KDE 4.4 there is a possibility to switch to window from krunner (Alt-F2). Say, I have an open konsole widow somewhere and to switch to it, I can Alt-F2, write konsole and choose konsole window I need from the list. This is great, but too much typing. I would like to have a keyboard shortcut to do the same. Maybe some DBUS magic can do that? Any ideas? Thaks! Andre

  This should be easy for many of you, but for me it's just another bit of rust needing to be chipped away as I get back into basic Java coding. Using bloody associative arrays for so long in other languages have turned me nice and spoiled. :P My problem is simple: I'm storing a set of objects, each containing a string and a number, in a list. I would like each object inserted into this list to be sorted alphabetically by its string. I would also like to be able to retrieve objects from the list by their string as well. I would like to do this as formally and/or efficiently as possible. Is there something already available in the Java standard libraries for this?

• Is it okay to violate the principle that collection properties should be readonly for performance?

  I used FxCop to analyze some code I had written. I had exposed a collection via a setter. I understand why this is not good. Changing the backing store when I don't expect it is a very bad idea. Here is my problem though. I retrieve a list of business objects from a Data Access Object. I then need to add that collection to another business class and I was doing it with the setter method. The reason I did this was that it is going to be faster to make an assignment than to insert hundreds of thousands of objects one at a time to the collection again via another addElement method. Is it okay to have a getter for a collection in some scenarios? I though of rather having a constructor which takes a collection? I thought maybe I could pass the object in to the Dao and let the Dao populate it directly? Are there any other better ideas?

• WPF - Only want one expander open at a time

  I have a UserControl with a templated grouped listbox with expanders and only want one expander open at any time. I have browsed through the site but haven't found anything except binding the IsExpanded to IsSelected which isn't quite what I want. I am trying to put some code in the Expanded event that would loop through Expanders and close all the ones that aren't the expander passed in the Expanded event. I can't seem to figure out how to get at them. I've tried ListBox.Items.Groups but didn't see how to get at them and tried ListBox.ItemContainerGenerator.ContainerFromItem (or Index) but nothing came back.   I want to have multiple a MySQL users to be able to issue commands like CREATE DATABASE dbTest; But I also want each of these users to be able to see and access only their own databases. All I could find was how to either create the databases by a DBA and grant the privileges on this database to the specific user: GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON dbTest.* TO 'user'; or grant privileges on all databases to a user: GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON *.* TO 'user'; But neither is what I want, because it needs to scale and be secure.

What I tried doing was: p <- qplot(...) then p <- p + qplot(...) where I replicated the previous line, but this gave me an error. I don't fully understand how AES works. I have studied the ggplot2 examples, but have difficulty understanding the relevant examples here.

• Problems with video conversions through the web (local host)

  Hello, I get the following errors when I attempt video format conversions called from the local host: “An invalid media type was specified” for M4V to WMV conversions. “One or more arguments are invalid” for MP4 to WMV conversions. Here are the details of the problems: I’ve written a dll in C# that accepts videos in the formats AVI, WMV, M4V and MP4 and performs the following actions: Creates a copy of the input video in WMV format . Creates a WAV file of the input video audio portion. Creates a JPG image from a frame of the input video. I attached the dll to an ASP.NET web project that performs the dll actions. When tested through the developer studio, the actions are performed as intended for all formats. When I place the web project in place to be read when the local host is called through the web browser, the following behavior takes place: WMV format: All actions performed as intended. AVI format: Creates WMV file – OK Creates JPG image – OK Creates empty WAV file – problem. M4V format: Creates empty WAV file – problem. Does not create WMV file -problem Does not create JPG file –problem Throws me the error “An invalid media type was specified” MP4 format: Creates empty WAV file – problem. Does not create WMV file -problem Does not create JPG file –problem Throws me the error “One or more arguments are invalid” When I check their security property, all the files have the same permission access parameters (when I check their security property. Can anyone guide me as to how to solve these problems when the web project is called from the local host? Thank you.

The struct definition is as follow, struct op { unsigned op_type:9; //---> what does this means? unsigned op_opt:1; unsigned op_latefree:1; unsigned op_latefreed:1; unsigned op_attached:1; unsigned op_spare:3; U8 op_flags; U8 op_private; }; you can see some variable being defined like unsigned op_attached:1 and I'm unsure what would that mean: would that effect number of bytes to be allocated for this particular variable? any help?   Hi, Would appreciate if someone could pls show me a simple example of how to setup and use qTip jquery plugin for a tooltip to display at the bottom-left of where I hover over an image. I've tried following the demos/examples from the site: qTip but just can't seem to get it working. I am unsure if I need to include the HTML Structure in the documentation and if so, where do I place it? Does this plugin also require a CSS file of some sort? For example, I have such definition: typedef boost::function<bool (Entity &handle)> behaviorRef; std::map< std::string, ptr_vector<behaviorRef> > eventAssociation; The first question is: how to insert values into such map object? I tried: eventAssociation.insert(std::pair< std::string, ptr_vector<behaviorRef> >(eventType, ptr_vector<behaviorRef>(callback))); But the error: no matching function for call to ‘boost::ptr_vector<boost::function<bool(Entity&)> >::push_back(Entity::behaviorRef&)’ And I undersatnd it, but can't make workable code. The second question is how to call such functions? For example, I have one object of behaviorRef, how to call it with boost::bind with passing my own values?
