  • Configuring Unity with a closed generic constructor parmater

    I've been trying to read the article here but I still can't understand it. I have a constructor resembling the following: IOrderStore orders = new OrderStore(new Repository<Order>(new OrdersDataContext())); The constructor for OrderStore: public OrderStore(IRepository<Order> orderRepository) Constructor for Repository<T>: public Repository(DataContext dataContext) How do I set this up in the Unity config file? UPDATE: I've spent the last few hours banging my head against this, and although I'm not really any closer to getting it right I think at least I can be a little more specific about the problem. I've got my IRespository<T> working ok: <typeAlias alias="IRepository" type="MyAssembly.IRepository`1, MyAssembly" /> <typeAlias alias="Repository" type="MyAssembly.Repository`1, MyAssembly" /> <typeAlias alias="OrdersDataContext" type="MyAssembly.OrdersDataContext, MyAssembly" /> <types> <type type="OrdersDataContext"> <typeConfig> <constructor /> <!-- ensures paramaterless constructor used --> </typeConfig> </type> <type type="IRepository" mapTo="Repository"> <typeConfig> <constructor> <param name="dataContext" parameterType="OrdersDataContext"> <dependency /> </param> </constructor> </typeConfig> </type> </types> So now I can get an IRepository like so: IRepository rep = _container.Resolve(); and that all works fine. The problem now is when trying to add the configuration for IOrderStore <type type="IOrderStore" mapTo="OrderStore"> <typeConfig> <constructor> <param name="ordersRepository" parameterType="IRepository"> <dependency /> </param> </constructor> </typeConfig> </type> When I add this, Unity blows up when trying to load the config file. The error message is OrderStore does not have a constructor that takes the parameters (IRepository`1). What I think this is complaining about is because the OrderStore constructor takes a closed IRepository generic type, ie OrderStore(IRepository<Order>) and not OrderStore(IRepository<T>) I don't have any idea how to resolve this.

  • OpenGL circle rotation

    I'm using following code to draw my circles: double theta = 2 * 3.1415926 / num_segments; double c = Math.Cos(theta);//precalculate the sine and cosine double s = Math.Sin(theta); double t; double x = r;//we start at angle = 0 double y = 0; GL.glBegin(GL.GL_LINE_LOOP); for(int ii = 0; ii < num_segments; ii++) { float first = (float)(x * scaleX + cx) / xyFactor; float second = (float)(y * scaleY + cy) / xyFactor; GL.glVertex2f(first, second); // output Vertex //apply the rotation matrix t = x; x = c * x - s * y; y = s * t + c * y; } GL.glEnd(); The problem is that when scaleX is different from scaleY then circles are transformed in the right way except for the rotation. In my code sequence looks like this: circle.Scale(tmp_p.scaleX, tmp_p.scaleY); circle.Rotate(tmp_p.rotateAngle); My question is what other calculations should i perform for circle to rotate properly when scaleX and scaleY are not equal?

  • How do I call a function name that is stored in a hash in Perl?

    I'm sure this is covered in the documentation somewhere but I have been unable to find it... I'm looking for the syntactic sugar that will make it possible to call a method on a class whose name is stored in a hash (as opposed to a simple scalar): use strict; use warnings; package Foo; sub foo { print "in foo()\n" } package main; my %hash = (func => 'foo'); Foo->$hash{func}; If I copy $hash{func} into a scalar variable first, then I can call Foo->$func just fine... but what is missing to enable Foo->$hash{func} to work? (EDIT: I don't mean to do anything special by calling a method on class Foo -- this could just as easily be a blessed object (and in my actual code it is); it was just easier to write up a self-contained example using a class method.) I've just noticed that this same technique (using the Moose meta class to look up the coderef rather than assuming its naming convention) cannot also be used for predicates, as Class::MOP::Attribute does not have a similar get_predicate_method_ref accessor. :(

  • SetWindowPos has not effect on tooltip

    Hello, I am trying to give my ComboBox an in place tooltip for long strings. However when I call SetWindowPos on the tooltip, the position is never changed. Called when TTN_SHOW is received: ::SetWindowPos(textTooltip, NULL, TipRect.left, TipRect.top, 0, 0, SWP_NOSIZE | SWP_NOACTIVATE | SWP_NOZORDER); If I remove the SWP_NOSIZE flag and pop in some values into the width/height, then the combo box changes size to these values but the position remains the same. SetWindowPos always returns TRUE. The tip is initialised like so: textTooltip = CreateWindowEx(WS_EX_TRANSPARENT, TOOLTIPS_CLASS, NULL, TTS_NOPREFIX, 0, 0, 0, 0, this->GetSafeHwnd(), NULL, NULL, NULL); if(!textTooltip) return; ZeroMemory(&ToolInfo, sizeof(TOOLINFO)); ToolInfo.cbSize = sizeof(TOOLINFO); ToolInfo.uFlags = TTF_TRANSPARENT | TTF_SUBCLASS; ToolInfo.hwnd = this->GetSafeHwnd(); ToolInfo.lpszText = "place holder"; //set in OnSelectChangeOk ToolInfo.uId = 0; ToolInfo.rect = TipRect; //rect is re-set in OnSelectChangeOk ::SendMessage(textTooltip, TTM_ADDTOOL, 0, (LPARAM)&ToolInfo); Am I missing something?

    Hey guys, does anybody know how to disable or manipulate the (in most browsers) dashed border of a dom-element if it has the focus in a tabindex order? i want to build my own style for a focused element but it would be great to use the exixsting feature -because with tabindex it is possible to bind keydown event to the dom-element ... you know what i mean? thanks and regards

  • cross-platform development for mobile devices

    What language/framework is best worth learning for mobile application development? My specific situation is that I'm very familiar with Java and C++ (I especially love Qt), but have limited experience with other languages. Some options I'm considering: 1) Learn Objective-C and all the iPhone-specific tools I do have access to a mac. The downside here is I'm restricted to the iPhone, so I'd have to rewrite almost everything if I wanted to branch off into another mobile device (or move later to a cross-platform framework). Even after knowing Objective-C, it seems like other frameworks might be more efficient/faster to code in? 2) Use some existing cross-platform framework for development I've looked at rhomobile, but I only have limited experience with Ruby (and at first glance, it might be a little pricey comapred to other options). Appcelerator also looks popular and nice, but it uses html/css/javascript. Airplaysdk looks good, but it's new and I haven't been able to see much written about it (is it worth going for?). 3) Wait for something better to come along How far away is Qt for the iPhone? That would be ideal, but it isn't available now. So what do you recommend? Productivity/efficiency is my top priority, although learning a useful language for the long term would also be okay.     I have a non-disposable class with Open/Close syntax that I'd like to be able to use, so I'm trying to inherit from it, and work the Open into the new and the Close into Dispose. The second part is ok, but I can't work out how to do the Open: type DisposableOpenCloseClass(openargs) = inherit OpenCloseClass() //do this.Open(openargs) <-- compiler no like interface IDisposable with member this.Dispose() = this.Close() (cf. this question which I asked a long time ago, but I can't join the dots to this one)

  • What is Java Message Service (JMS) for?

    I am currently evaluating JMS and I don't get what I could use it for. Currently, I believe this would be a Usecase: I want to create a SalesInvoice PDF and print it when an SalesOrder leaves the Warehouse, so during the Delivery transaction I could send a transactional print request which just begins when the SalesOrder transaction completes successfully. Now I found out most JMS products are standalone server. Why would a need a Standalone Server for Message Processing, vs. e.g. some simple inproc processing with Quartz scheduler? How does it interact with my application? Isn't it much too slow? What are Usecases you already implemented successfully?

All we can find on the web are Navigation Application themes, which when applied to business application project, don't work. Most even have compilation errors.   • Silverlight Assembly.Load() only works with the full/strong name

    Apparently the implementation of Assembly.Load() in Silverlight needs a full/strong name. E.g. this works: Assembly.Load("MyAssembly, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=..."); while this will fail even if MyAssembly is already loaded: Assembly.Load("MyAssembly"); Is there a workaround so that it's possible to use the simple name?

  • DataBind and Postback

    This is a general how does DataBind work questions... I have a simple page with a GridView that is bound (in the aspx code) to an ObjectDataSource. I can look in the Select() function called by the ObjectDataSource to see that it is called on the initial load and on every post back. I have some logic that happens on post backs that will affect the GridView's data, and I want to call GridView.DataBind() later on in the post back, after I've made some changes. Is there a way to prevent the automatic rebinding that happens on each post back? Does this mean I can't use an ObjectDataSource for this control?

  • Distro List - can a member be made invisible?

    Is it possible to set up a distro list on an exchange server to have certain members (or all) invisible to people sending email to the distro? For example: I'd like to have a distro go to Help, Support, and IT. However, I don't want the sender to know it goes to Help if they expand the distro in the To: field. I know this is most likely impossible, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask.
