  • Set property on usercontrol that can be used in custom panel in control... Silverlight

    I have a simple usercontrol that uses a simple custom panel where I just overrode the Orientation and Measure functions. What I want to do is to have a property in the usercontol to control the orientation So I basicaly have UserControl -- Listbox -- MyPanel And I want a property for the usercontrol that can be set in xaml (of type System.Windows.Controls.Orientation ) that I can bind to from my custom panel (or a different approach if binding isnt the right way to do it) It would be a bonus if that property could show up in the properties window and you could select vertical or horizontal. And a super bonus if I could change the property at design time and have the listbox/

  • Parent/Child forms communication issue

    Hi, I am very new to Visual C++ programming, but I have to write simple program which needs to do two things: ( I am using MS Visual C++ ) main ( parent ) form should be displayed when program starts, and after clicking a button on it, second form should be shown. Second form ( child ) also has a button, but this one should ( after clicking, of course ) show current X,Y child form position but on ( important ): parent form. And this is where i got stuck. I can display child form with: a) adding #include "child.h" in parent form.h b) adding child ^child_form; in public: section and afterwards using: child_form = gcnew child(); child_form-Show(); I was googling for two days now and cannot find a way to get it the other way: click on a button on child_form and display it's coordinates on parent form on label-text :/ when i tried to add #include "child.h" in child_form I just got error saying: "there are to many include files..." I really need to get this done and I would really appreciate any suggestions. Thanks in advance :)

    I am working on a site and it works/looks great in Safari, Firefox, Chrome and IE8. For some reason when testing it in IE 6 and 7 the jQuery does not work (the images are there but static) I get the following error message: Internet Explorer Script Error. Line: 38 Char: 1 Error: Expected Identifier, string or number Code: 0 Can someone help me out with this? Internet Exploder is killing me....

  • No Android project type in Eclipse->File->New-Project

    I am running CentOS 5.5 x86_64 with JDK 1.6, Eclipse Galileo, and the 0.9.7 ADT is installed; however, after installation, the Android project type is not available. I have checked in the installed packages list and it is installed. Anybody encounter this problem before? Could it be due to my use of the 64-bit java VM that is installed on my system?

  • Dynamic ExpandableListView

    Can anyone tell me how I can Dynamically add groups & children to an ExpandableListView. The purpose is to create a type of task list that I can add new items/groups to. I can populate the view with pre-filled arrays but of course can't add to them to populate the list further. The other method i tried was using the SimpleExpandableListAdapter. Using this i am able to add groups from a List but when it comes to adding children i can only add 1 item per group. public List<Map<String, String>> groupData = new ArrayList<Map<String, String>>(); public List<List<Map<String, String>>> childData = new ArrayList<List<Map<String, String>>>(); public void addGroup(String group) { Map curGroupMap = new HashMap(); groupData.add(curGroupMap); curGroupMap.put(NAME, group); //Add an empty child or else the app will crash when group is expanded.   • Unit test with Authlogic on Rails 3

    Hello, I would like to write some unit test with a logged user using Authlogic. To start right, I used some code hosted in http://github.com/binarylogic/authlogic_example. But I get an error after rake test, because of "test_helper.rb" and the following class: class ActionController::TestCase setup :activate_authlogic end Here is my error: NameError: undefined local variable or method `activate_authlogic' for I think this Authlogic example is mapped over Rails 2; maybe it's a little bit different on Rails 3. Is there an other example where I can take example about unit test? Many thanks.

  • Regular Expression to match IP address + wildcard

    Hey guys I'm trying to use a RegularexpressionValidator to match an IP address (with possible wildcards) for an IP filtering system. I'm using the following Regex: "([0-9]{1,3}\\.|\\*\\.){3}([0-9]{1,3}|\\*){1}" Which works fine when running it in LINQPad with Regex.Matches, but doesn't seem to work when I'm using the validator. Does anyone have a suggestion as to either a better Regex or why it would work in test but not in situ? Cheers, Ed

  • SharePoint Upgrade Global Nav Quirks?

    We're working on a parallel install/upgrade of SharePoint. The client has WSS 2003 on some old hardware. We've installed MOSS 2007 in a medium farm environment. They want to use this as an opportunity to not just upgrade and use the new features, but to also better organize their content and categorize between different site collections. To accommodate, we've created a few site collections per their specifications in the new environment, and when we ran an upgrade test run we ran into a few .. quirks. We made a backup of the old content database, copied it over to the new environment and restored it as a new database. Created a new web app and attached the migrated data to do an in-place upgrade in this new "test" area. This seems pretty standard - no issues. We have to do a little bit of cleanup (e.g. reset pages to site definition, reset themes, and inherit the global nav / top link bar, etc.). Once that's done, we're using stsadm export/import to copy the individual sites over to their ultimate destinations in the various different site collections. So far so good. But then we ran into one particular site that has a link to an .aspx page in the top link bar in WSS 2003 that's not behaving properly after the upgrade. It's just a link to a "dashboard" .aspx page in a doc library - nothing special. It doesn't seem to matter what we do, or what order we do it (in the "test" web app, in the destination web app, or both). In the end, this ONE site will not allow us to create a link/tab in the global nav. It can inherit the global nav just fine. We can break the inheritance just fine. But if we want to manually add a link in the top link bar - we go through the steps that I've done 1,000x before and click OK - and the tab never appears. It doesn't matter if it's to a page within the site itself, or to Google. We can migrate over other sites into the same site collection and add a tab without issue. If we migrate this quirky site over to another site collection we run into the same issue. Yet, in the "test" web app that we're using to upgrade the data we can add a tab? If we add the tab before we export/import to the final destination, the tab is lost during the process? Has anyone run into anything like this? Any ideas? I've tried every combination of everything that I can think of and nothing works. Unless we can figure out how to get this to work, we're going to just add this tab to the global nav for the entire site collection and inherit it for this site (but that adds the link to all of the site that will inherit, which is both a pro & con for them).

  • Python: split files using mutliple split delimiters

    Hi, I have multiple CSV files which I need to parse in a loop to gather information. The problem is that while they are the same format, some are delimited by '\t' and others by ','. After this, I want to remove the double-quote from around the string. Can python split via multiple possible delimiters? At the minute, I can split the line with one by using: f = open(filename, "r") fields = f.readlines() for fs in fields: sf = fs.split('\t') tf = [fi.strip ('"') for fi in sf] Any suggestions are welcome.

  • mybase.showdialog event fired without apparent reason

    Hi, i'm new to vb .net and oop although i have learned the basics. I'm working in VB and .NET CF 3.5 and i'm trying to pass and received a value with showdialog. The issue here is when i'm done with a procedure in Load, for some reason MyBase.Showdialog (line 3) gives an error of "NullReferenceException was unhandled", but the same procedure doesn't have anything to do with Showdialog. Also, this same error happens with me in other forms when i use AlphaImageButton from AlphaMobileControls. I even created an custom AlphaImageButton with a DialogResult Property and set it to None with no avail. I have followed this : http://webpy.org/cookbook/i18n_support_in_template_file So, in my .wsgi there is : #i18n gettext.install('messages',I18N_PATH,unicode=True) gettext.translation('messages',I18N_PATH,languages=['fr_FR','en_US']).install(True) So i ran : pygettext.py -a -v -d messages -o i18n/messages.po controllers/*.py views/*.html I have copied and translated messages.po, I have also change the "content-type" and the "content-transfer-encoding: "Content-Type: text/plain; charset=utf-8\n" "Content-Transfer-Encoding: UTF-8\n" And i ran this command: msgfmt -v -o i18n/fr_FR/LC_MESSAGES/messages.mo i18n/fr_FR/LC_MESSAGES/messages.po >>>93 messages traduits. here is the arborescence of i18n folder: i18n/: en_US fr_FR messages.po i18n/en_US: LC_MESSAGES i18n/en_US/LC_MESSAGES: messages.mo messages.po i18n/fr_FR: LC_MESSAGES i18n/fr_FR/LC_MESSAGES: messages.mo messages.po But when i go in my website (my browser's language is "fr_fr"), i haven't the string translated. What I need is to do something like: select id, getQtyFromID(id) as qty from table The main idea is to execute a query stored in a table cell, this is because the qty of something depends on it's unit. the unit can be days or it can be metric tons, so there is no relation between the units, therefore the need of a specific query for each unit.

  • Rails: Is there a way to check for incomplete JPG file upload?

    I have a Rails app that processes and serves up jpg files that were uploaded via FTP. On several occasions the FTP process was disconnected and left many incomplete .jpg files. I was surprised to see that the incomplete jpgs behave as normal jpg files in my app even tho they have incomplete image data. I have since implemented a more robust FTP process where the uploaded file is initially *.tmp and gets renamed to .jpg after an FTP success code is received. My problem is, I still have all of these incomplete jpg files on the server and can't figure out how to programmatically weed them out. I can actually display them in a view without generating any errors, but there is only a partial image there. I tried RMagick but they all successfully load (using Image.read) and report the valid x & y resolutions. I have so far not been able to determine a way to programmatically differentiate between an incomplete and complete jpg uploaded image. Any ideas?

  • How to get bluetooth RSSI on android after discovery

    I'm trying to write a program that can read the signal strength of a bluetooth device linked to my android 2.0 handset. Doesnt seem like android exposes anyway to get the RSSI unless it is during discovery. Is there any other way to get the signal strength of the device after the device has been detected? I read of a way to do it using NDK to access the underlying BlueZ API, but I dont know how to use that. Any help would be appreciated.

    When i first started using monotouch i found a page with some code samples for simple and frequent tasks... but on some of those code samples i found some things like this one: var imageRect = new RectangleF(0f, 0f, 320f, 109f); using (var myImage = new UIImageView(imageRect)) { myImage.Image = UIImage.FromFile("myImage.png"); myImage.Opaque = true; view.AddSubview(myImage); } The UIImageView is created inside a using() block. I'm a .Net developer and i know what a using() does, but i dont understand why is it used on this example. So my question is if this is the best way of creating views, and what are the differences (if any) of this aproach and creating views without the using() block.

    I have two tables: Job job_id, <other data> Job_Link job_link_id, job_id, start_timestamp, end_timestamp, <other data> There may be multiple records in Job_Link specifying the same job_id with the start_timestamp and end_timestamps to indicate when those records are considered "current", it is guaranteed that start_timestamp and end_timestamp will not overlap. We have entities for both the Job and Job_Link tables and defining a one-to-many relationship to load all the job_links wouldn't be a problem. However we'd like to avoid that and have a single job_link item in the Job entity that will contain only the "current" Job_Link object. Is there any way to achive that?
