    I am getting "cannot import name connections" exception while trying to use django-multilingual-ng 0.1.20 with Django 1.1.1. The exception comes from the line 15 of query.py where it tries to: from django.db import connections, DEFAULT_DB_ALIAS Is it not compatible with Django 1.1.1?     I visited Slashdot this morning to find out that Python 3.0 has been released. I know C# and Perl, but have wanted to learn Python for some time, especially after I saw its ease of use to create useful tools, not to mention its use in game scripting. My question is, how does the intentionally backwards-incompatible release of Python 3.0 affect adoption, and should I learn Python 2? Or should I take the dive and learn Python 3.0 first, and wait for the libraries to be ported?

  • AJAX Control Toolkit - Incompatibility with HTMLEditor and UpdatePanel

    Unfortunately HTMLEditor component of AJAX Control Toolkit is not compatible with the UpdatePanel. The problem is when we use accents with the Mozilla Firefox browser and HTMLEditor is inside an UpdatePanel. Letters that contain accents are left with an unknown character (so is stored in the database or even returned a PostBack). Can be tested using Mozilla Firefox on the site of the ASP.NET AJAX Control Toolkit.  Write a word with accents and go to "Submit Content": http://www.asp.net/AJAX/AjaxControlToolkit/Samples/HTMLEditor/HTMLEditor.aspx As an alternative to this problem there are multiple component Rich Text Editors, some using jQuery and others not. Queneeshas provided us a list of 10 components that can be viewed here: http://www.queness.com/post/212/10-jquery-and-non-jquery-javascript-rich-text-editors Hopefully next release of the AJAX Control Toolkit, this inconsistency and others (like the ModalPopup Extender that already referenced in my blog) are resolved once and for all. This is because there are more updated versions prior to that do not have these problems, and with the passing of time some parts were coming into conflict.   • sftp Bad message - (badly formatted packet or protocol incompatibility)

    I have two servers connected through SFTP. When I'm trying to upload file DONATE_SPLATNOSTSFRB-1503_20120315.xls.gpg via WinSCP, it works fine, but when I change file name to DONATE_SPLATNOSTSFRB-1503_20120315.gpg it sometimes upload to server and sometimes not. When It's uploaded, I have problems to delete it. I get this error message: Bad message - (badly formatted packet or protocol incompatibility) Error code: 5 Error message from server: Bad Message Request code: 13 Others files works fine e.g.: DONATE_PREDSFRB-0212_20120315.gpg Thank you.

  • mime-attachment incompatibility on forwarded messages from android to an iphone

    A couple of guys got the evo android in the office. I got an iphone. When I receive a forwarded email from one of those phones, the forwarded piece comes as a mime-attachment that the iphone cannot open. I also tried this with a motorola droid and got the same result. I am not sure if the issue is the android sending the message on the wrong format or the iphone not being able to understand a mime type that it should... Has anyone experienced this, and, most importantly, found a fix/workaround? Thanks.

  • Incompatibility between x86 and x64 in Installation solution

    Hello, I have installation solution that have installer project (not web installer but simple installer) that installs NT services, web service and web sites with help of additional two projects of dlls with my own code that performs my installation step. In user actions of installer project I call installer function of one of those projects, and this project calls to installer of second project: installer - MiddleCaller - InstallationCore. All this developing on Windows 7 and work fine when I compile all in 32 bit. The project must run on Windows 2008. Because of some reasons all must be in x64 bit. For this purpose, in MiddleCaller and InstallationCore I click right button of mouse on project - build - targer x64. For to move installer project to 64 bit in properties of installer (when project is active) I check: Target platform: x64. When I run installation on x86 I get error: The installation package is not supported by this processor type" And this is good, because now I know that my installation compiled in 64 bit, but when I run this on windows 2008 I get: Error 1001. Exception occured while initializing the instance: System.BadImageFormatException: could not load file or Assembly 'MiddleCaller, v...' or one of its dependencies. An attempt was made to load a program with an incorrect format. Any one has some idea what I need to do for run fine the installation on x64? May be I still not moved the installer project to x64 bit, if yes, where I do this? Thank you for ahead.

  • MySQL PHP incompatibility.

    Ok maybe I've overlooked something really simple here, but I can't seem to figure this out. I'm running WAMP locally, but connecting to a remote MySQL database. The local version of PHP is the latest 5.3.0. One of the remote databases, being version 5.0.45 works fine. However, the other remote database I'm trying to connect to, which is version 5.0.22 throws the following error before dying: Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: OK packet 6 bytes shorter than expected. PID=5880 in ... Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: mysqlnd cannot connect to MySQL 4.1+ using old authentication in ... WTF? UPDATE: Reverting to PHP 5.2.* i.e. anything lower than 5.3.0 resolves the problem completely. As long as I am not running 5.3.0 I can connect to both databases. I'm not sure what the explanation is for this weirdness.

    I am coding my website, and a friend of mine was helping me. This code does not work on IE 10 (Windows 7). I even tried the legacy modes and to no avail. Upon clicking on "services" for example, this code would work on FF or Chrome. But, not on IE.   • Why might PC3200 ECC ram be incompatible when upgrading?

    I had some 512MB PC3200 Kingston mem modules in a server, and I ordered replacement Kingston memory in 1GB sticks. The vendor said they were out of stock and I agreed to let them ship me "compatible" Samsung memory. However, after installing, the MB posted BIOS errors and wouldn't even boot to a BIOS screen. Both memory was ECC PC3200. Any ideas why that would happen?

  • Who to run Marcomedia Projector executables on Windows 7?

    When I try to use an old app created using Macromedia Projector in Windows 7, it crashes after the first few screens. The same programs works fine on XP. I receive this error message after a few screens: Error A Fatal Error has occurred. Click OK to Quit. Pressing OK brings me a fresh one: Microsoft Visual C++ runtime Library This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information. And finally I get a Macromedia Projector has stopped working message. I have already tried adjusting compatibility mode, or adding this program to the Data Execution Prevention exceptions, but none helped.

    I've been tasked with porting a legacy Delphi application over to C# .Net. The original delphi developer left several months before I was hired. I'm receiving the E2010 Incompatible types: 'Integer' and 'Char' error for the below method. I'm trying to compile the application within the Delphi 2007 IDE, I've been told that original application is either Delphi 4 or 5 if that helps any. I understand what the error is telling me but I don't understand why\how it is applied to the code snippet below. Any help\direction would be greatly appreciated.   • Is there a workaround for JDBC w/liquibase and MySQL session variables & client side SQL instructions

    Slowly building a starter changeSet xml file for one of three of my employer's primary schema's. The only show stopper has been incorporating the sizable library of MySQL stored procedures to be managed by liquibase. One sproc has been somewhat of a pain to deal with: The first few statements go like use TargetSchema; select "-- explanatory inline comment thats actually useful --" into vDummy; set @@session.sql_mode='TRADITIONAL' ; drop procedure if exists adm_delete_stats ; delimiter $$ create procedure adm_delete_stats( ...rest of sproc I cut out the use statement as its counter-productive, but real issue is the set @@session.sql_mode statement which causes an exception like liquibase.exception.MigrationFailedException: Migration failed for change set ./foobarSchema/sprocs/adm_delete_stats.xml::1293560556-151::dward_autogen dward: Reason: liquibase.exception.DatabaseException: Error executing SQL ... And then the delimiter statement is another stumbling block. Doing do dilligence research I found this rejected MySQL bug report here and this MySQL forum thread that goes a little bit more in depth to the problem here. Is there anyway I can use the sproc scripts that currently exist with Liquibase or would I have to re-write several hundred stored procedures? I've tried createProcedure, sqlFile, and sql liquibase tags without much luck as I think the core issue is that set, delimiter, and similar SQL commands are meant to be interpreted and acted upon by the client side interpreter before being delivered to the server.

Here I am, the next morning, and Visual Studio 2008 is freezing, like there "was some invisible dialog window", because it doesn't allow me to click on any IDE element. In brief, after I open a ASP.MVC form, suddenly I'm not allowed to click on anything, icon, dock panel, toolbox, nothing... Anyone has this kind of problem?

A s.length: 1 temp.length: 2 str: str:A single1: [] single2: [A] line:[] line:[A] Here's what I think it should work like. I grab a word from user. Next create Grid element for whole game. Then for each line I create Element[] array called line. I split the given text and here's the first problem. Why string.split() adds a whitespace ? You can see clearly in output that it is added for no reason. How can I get rid of it (now I had to add +1 to the length of line just to run the code). Continuing I'm throwing the splitted text into temporary String array and next from each letter I create Element object and throw it to line array. Apart of this empty space output looks fine. But next problem is with Grid. I've created constructor taking Element as an argument, but still I can't throw line as Grid[] elements because of 'incompatible types'. How can I fix that ? Am I even doing it right ? Maybe I should get rid of line as Element[] and just create Grid[][] ?

  • Iphone SDK on Windows (alternative solutions)

    I know there is no official SDK for windows, which is very annoying. Is there any way to develop applications on a windows computer, other than somehow running a mac os in vmware? I know you can do it with Xcode, but that is also only for macs. Google searches have revealed absolutely nothing...... If I cannot use the SDK or Xcode, any way I can just check syntax or something and just make my code in Notepad and save it with the proper extension? I have no idea whether or not I would be able to do that, probably because I have never even tried the SDK and probably never will without buying a mac.
