  • WinForm And Looping

    I have a WinForm set up and a process that loops until a button is pressed on the form. When I try to run my code, the form does not even display. I suspect this is because the code gets stuck in the loop and doesn't get far enough to display the WinForm. How can I get the form to display and the loop to run after that point?

Very simplified, the problem was this: def f(): return 2 2 == f I forgot to write the parenthesis in the sentence, so I compared a pointer function with a number. Ok, my question: Is there any way to change the interpreter to be more stricted with the code? Show more warnings for example... Thanks ^^

Its method signature indicates that it can be thrown, but from the source code there doesn't seem to be any place where this could happen, unless it's in native code. What is wrong with regards to the below code: ArrayList tempList2 = new ArrayList(); tempList2 = getXYZ(tempList1, tempList2); //method getXYZ getXYZ(ArrayList tempList1, ArrayList tempList2) { //does some logic and adds objects into tempList2 return tempList2; } The code will get executed but it seems by passing tempList2 to the getXYZ method argument, it is doing object recycling. My question is, Is recycling the tempList2 arraylist object correct?

    I'm writing a plain text document with numbered sections or chapters and am wondering if emacs can help with numbering and re-numbering sections. And of course would be great if it could then generate a table of contents as well. I have had a search on google and looked through the emacs wiki but did not come up with anything other than for latex stuff and possibly muse mode, but I would like to keep this as a plain text README style document.     I can't seem to get my <div> height in IE (7) to be shorter than 20px: <div style="background: green; height: 1px;"> </div> Using the above code (both with and without html and body tags) the height of the div cannot seem to drop below a certain value (I think it is 20px). Any ideas?

    I have the following code block code when the document is ready: $(document).ready(function() { createDivs(); // creates some divs with class 'foo'; // iterate $(".foo").each(function(index) { alert(index + " - " + $(this).text()); }); } I find that the "iterate" part misses the divs I created in the createDivs() method entirely! Is there some timing issue I'm not aware of? Why doesn't jquery see the divs that were just created?
