    This is just another "working in dev server, why not working in IIS" type question. So, I created a nice DAL using NHibernate as described here. When creating an ISession, I hook up an event handler to the HttpApplication.EndRequest to take care of cleaning it up. However, I deployed my site to IIS and it says: Event handlers can only be bound to HttpApplication events during IHttpModule initialization. Since when? What for? Why? How can I bypass it?

    Hello, I'm trying to get a View in Backbone.js to save when there's a 'change' event if (and only if) the data has changed. Long story short, I've a 'change' event set on the View that calls this: function changed_event() { log.debug("Before: " + this.model.get('name')) // not 'contrived!' this.model.set({'name': 'contrived!'}); log.debug("After: " + this.model.get('name')) // 'contrived!' if (this.model.hasChanged()) { alert("This is never called."); } } I'd like to know why the model.hasChanged() is false when clearly the model has been changed.     I have a Fragment that uses the following XML layout: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <LinearLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:layout_width="match_parent" android:layout_height="match_parent" android:background="@drawable/card" android:clickable="true" android:onClick="editActions" android:orientation="vertical" > <TextView android:id="@+id/title" style="@style/CardTitle" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:duplicateParentState="true" android:text="@string/title_workstation" /> <Button android:id="@+id/factory_button_edit" style="?android:attr/buttonStyleSmall" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:duplicateParentState="true" android:text="@string/label_edit" /> </LinearLayout> As you can see, I have an onClick parameter set on LinearLayout. Now on the TextView this one is triggered correctly, and on all empty area. Just on the Button it doesn't invoke the onClick method that I set. Is this normal? What do I have to do so that the onClick method is invoked everywhere on the LinearLayout?

    Hi, I have a question about the 'Event Descriptor Thread'. I have a Main class that is also a JFrame. It initialises the rest of the components in the code, some of them do not involve Swing and some of them do. Is it enough to simply initialise the Main class using the EDT like this?... public static void main(String[] args) { javax.swing.SwingUtilities.invokeLater(new Runnable() { public void run() { new Main(); } }); } This way everything would run on the Event Dispatcher thread.

    I have a case where I want a given event to execute once, and only once. I'm trying to do it this way, but I'm having prolems (else I wouldn't be asking). Note that the following code is inside the function that decides that the event needs to be fired. EventHandler h = delegate(Object sender, EventArgs e) { FiringControl.TheEvent -= h; // <-- Error, use of unassigned local variable "h" // Do stuff } FiringControl.TheEvent += h; In general this should work because of the way scope is preserved for delegates until after they're done running, but, since h is in the process of being built when I try to use it it is still considered to be "uninitialized", apparently.

  • Custom Silverlight button with <Path> content and visual states

    I would like to create a button control that has a Path element as its content--an IconButton if you will. This button should fulfill two conditions: 1. The Path element's stroke and fill colors should be available for manipulation by the VisualStateManager. 2. The Path element's data string (which defines it's shape) can be set in code or in XAML, so that I can create several such buttons without creating a new custom control for each. The only way I can see to do it would involve no XAML whatsoever. That is, setting all the visual states and animations in the code behind, plus generating the Geometry objects point by point (and not being able to use the convenient Data string property on the Path element). Is there a simpler way to do this?

  • Capture Silverlight 4 event when panel clicked

    I have a small Silverlight 4 app that essentially consists of a grid containing a label and a combo box. When I click the label, I replace it with a second text box so that I can edit the label (much the way you can edit the name of a Silverlight control in VS2010). I have a LostFocus event handler on the text box that will end editing when the control loses focus (restoring the updated label). Trouble is, users tend to click on the panel when they are done editing rather than on another control (or hitting Enter, which is also supported). I tried adding a left mouse down event handler to the panel. However, that only fires when the text box does not have the focus (I guess the text box captured the mouse?) Is there an approach to recognize that a non-input control was clicked that would enable me to terminate edit mode?

    I have created a new custom list form that will show 4 fields on the page from a Custom List called "Shipment". I have added Form Action button that I would like to run a custom action that is set inside of a Workflow. Currently, the form displays the fields for "Manifest Number", "Pickup Location", "Delivery Location", & "Scheduled Pickup Time". When the user clicks the Form Action button, what I want the Workflow to do is go to the ID field of the displayed content in the Form and change the value of the "Picked Up" column from No to Yes. The problem I am having is passing the ID of the displayed information from the Form to the Workflow as a variable. I can get the "Picked Up" column to update if I specify the value in the "Update List Item" window under the "Find the List Item" section, but I cannot figure out how to do this dynamically from the Form

  • ExtJS 4.1: FocusManager.enable prevents stopping click event

    If FocusManager is enabled, then Menu item href click handlers can not be stopped. This causes the native click handler to complete and navigate the location hash to '#'. If FocusManager is not enabled, it does not change the hash. I tried overriding Ext.menu.Item to call evt.stopEvent if href is null. However, it looks like the EventManager.createListenerWrap() method totally hides the actual browser event and replaces it with an EventObject focus event. What's the correct solution here? Thanks.

For security purposes, this feature verifies that arguments to postback or callback events originate from the server control that originally rendered them. If the data is valid and expected, use the ClientScriptManager.RegisterForEventValidation method in order to register the postback or callback data for validation.     The following code causes my vs 2008 wpf project to hang, I'm not sure why. Both Part 1 and Part 2 work perfectly fine independently, but when I run them together on an control event (click a button for example) the program hangs. I've also tried shell execute for part 2 - same results. However, this code when run within the form loaded event works fine. Any insights would be truly appreciated.     I have a flowLayoutPanel which I am programatically adding new panelLayouts to. Each panelLayout has a pictureBox within it. It's all working nicely, but I need to detect when that picture box is clicked on. How do I add an event to the picture? I seem to only be able to find c# examples.... my code to add the image is as follows...     Ok, so I have a "navigation" div and "content" div. When something on the navigation is clicked, I fade in the content div with the new data. Now, I would like to have the old data returned when the user hits the "back" button on his/her browser, but I'm having a hard time doing this. I know I can set the content to be a named anchor, so they stay on the same page with a breadcrumb trail. However, that's as far as I get. Can I listen for a back button click? Can I set content to display when a certain anchor name is reached? Thanks in advance for your help, SO.
