  • Why does this JSON fail only in iPhone?

    - by 4thSpace
I'm using the JSON framework from http://code.google.com/p/json-framework. The JSON below fails with this error: -JSONValue failed. Error trace is: ( Error Domain=org.brautaset.JSON.ErrorDomain Code=5 UserInfo=0x124a20 "Unescaped control character '0xd'", Error Domain=org.brautaset.JSON.ErrorDomain Code=3 UserInfo=0x11bc20 "Object value expected for key: Phone", Error Domain=org.brautaset.JSON.ErrorDomain Code=3 UserInfo=0x1ac6e0 "Expected value while parsing array" ) JSON being parsed: [{"id" :"2422","name" :"BusinessA","address" :"7100 U.S. 50","lat" :"38.342945","lng" :"-90.390701","CityId" :"11","StateId" :"38","CategoryId" :"1","Phone" :"(200) 200-2000","zip" :"00010"}] I think 0xd represents a carriage. When I put the above JSON in TextWrangler, I don't see any carriage returns. I got the JSON by doing "po myjson" in the debugger. It passes this validator: http://json.parser.online.fr/. Can anyone see what the problem may be?

  • Did OpenPOP.net with GMail attachments break recently?

    - by Ashley Simpson
I could swear this code was working few days ago. I'm using the SSL binaries from http://trixy.justinkbeck.com/2009/07/c-pop3-library-with-ssl-for-gmail.html POPClient client = new POPClient("pop.gmail.com", 995, "[email protected]", "qwerty", AuthenticationMethod.USERPASS, true); int unread = client.GetMessageCount(); for (int i = 0; i < unread; i++) { Message m = client.GetMessage(i + 1, true); Console.WriteLine(m.Subject); if (m.HasAttachment) { Attachment a = m.GetAttachment(1); // Problem! HasAttachment flag is set, but there's no attachments in the collection! m.SaveAttachment(a, a.ContentFileName); } } client.QUIT(); But today, I can read the mail ok but the attachments are empty. I'm thinking the China fiasco caused them to change something. Ideas?

  • Regular expressions in findstr

    - by Johannes Rössel
I'm doing a little string validation with findstr and its /r flag to allow for regular expressions. In particular I'd like to validate integers. The regex ^[0-9][0-9]*$ worked fine for non-negative numbers but since I now support negative numbers as well I tried ^([1-9][0-9]*|0|-[1-9][0-9]*)$ for either positive or negative integers or zero. The regex works fine theoretically. I tested it in PowerShell and it matches what I want. However, with findstr /r /c:"^([1-9][0-9]*|0|-[1-9][0-9]*)$" it doesn't. While I know that findstr doesn't have the most advanced regex support (even below Notepad++ which is probably quite an achievement), I would have expected such simple expressions to work. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong here?

  • [iPhone] Objective-C : UIScrollView manual paging

    - by Daniel
Hi Folks! I want to use the scrollview as something like a picker in horizontal mode. The scrollview holds up to seven subviews. Each subview represents a value. Always three views are visible and the one in the middle is the selected one. Scrollview visible at start: __ | V1 | V2 Scrollview set to view/value two: V1 | V2 | V3 Scrollview set to last value: V2 | V3 | __ The real problem I have got is the "pagingEnabled" flag. If pagingEnabled is set to YES the scrollview pages always three subviews/values instead of only one. If pagingEnabled is set to NO the scrollview does not clinch. Is there a nice solution for my problem? Thanks a lot, Dan ;)

  • Does RVM "failover" to another ruby instance on error?

    - by JohnMetta
Have a strange problem in that I have a Rake task that seems to be using multiple versions of Ruby. When one fails, it seems to try another one. Details MacBook running 10.6.5 rvm 1.1.0 Rubies: 1.8.7-p302, ree-1.8.7-2010.02, ruby-1.9.2-p0 Rake 0.8.7 Gem 1.3.7 Veewee (provisioning Virtual Machines using Opcode.com, Vagrant and Chef) I'm not entirely sure the specific details of the error matter, but since it might be an issue with Veewee itself. So, what I'm trying to do is build a new box base on a veewee definition. The command fails with an error about a missing method- but what's interesting is how it fails. Errors I managed to figure out that if I only have one Ruby installed with RVM, it just fails. If I have more than one Ruby install, it fails at the same place, but execution seems to continue in another interpreter. Here are two different clipped console outputs. I've clipped them for size. The full outputs of each error are available as a gist. One Ruby version installed Here is the command run when I only have a single version of Ruby (1.8.7) available in RVM boudica:veewee john$ rvm rake build['mettabox'] --trace rvm 1.1.0 by Wayne E. Seguin ([email protected]) [http://rvm.beginrescueend.com/] (in /Users/john/Work/veewee) ** Invoke build (first_time) ** Execute build … creating new harddrive rake aborted! undefined method `max_vdi_size' for #<VirtualBox::SystemProperties:0x102d6af80> /Users/john/.rvm/gems/ruby-1.8.7-p302/gems/virtualbox-0.8.3/lib/virtualbox/abstract_model/dirty.rb:172:in `method_missing' <------ stacktraces cut ----------> /Users/john/.rvm/gems/ruby-1.8.7-p302/gems/rake-0.8.7/bin/rake:31 /Users/john/.rvm/gems/ruby-1.8.7-p302@global/bin/rake:19:in `load' /Users/john/.rvm/gems/ruby-1.8.7-p302@global/bin/rake:19 Multiple Ruby Versions Here is the same command run with three versions of Ruby available in RVM. Prior to doing this, I used "rvm use 1.8.7." Again, I don't know how important the details of the specific errors are- what's interesting to me is that there are three separate errors- each with it's own stacktrace- and each in a different Ruby interpreter. Look at the bottom of each stacktrace and you'll see that they are all sourced from different interpreter locations- First ree-1.8.7, then ruby-1.8.7, then ruby-1.9.2: boudica:veewee john$ rvm rake build['mettabox'] --trace rvm 1.1.0 by Wayne E. It seems strange to me that the first exception would not halt execution as it did with one interpreter, but I wonder if there are things happening when RVM is installed that we Ruby developers are not considering.

  • Bluescreen 0x0000003B during DownloadFileAsync?

    - by SeveQ
Hello again, I've run into a problem with an application I'm developing in C#/.NET. A problem I can't trace down because it causes my system to crash with a BSOD. Here's the minidump: 060310-27066-01.dmp 03.06.2010 19:47:39 SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION 0x0000003b 00000000c0000005 fffff8000306d4d0 fffff8800b107640 0000000000000000 ntoskrnl.exe ntoskrnl.exe+70600 NT Kernel & System Microsoft® Windows® Operating System Microsoft Corporation 6.1.7600.16539 (win7_gdr.100226-1909) x64 C:\Windows\Minidump\060310-27066-01.dmp 4 15 7600 It's not related specifically to DownloadFileAsync. Other methods of the System.Net assembly classes related to HTTP download also make my system crash. I really hope someone can help me with this. Just for info: other apps (browsers etc.) that download files work like a charm. If you need further information don't hesitate to ask! Thanks!

  • how to precompile sass with gruntjs?

    - by chovy
    There seem to be a few plugins...and I'm using webstorm file watcher which also precompiles individual files. I think this may not be the best way to setup a watcher. I'm running this command now: sass --no-cache --update --stop-on-error --trace ./app/sass:./app/css It seems to conflict with the webstorm file watch, which appears to be appending everything to base.css. Can someone tell me what exactly this command is doing vs. a sass filewatcher in webstorm? What's the best way to work with sass: precompile my sass to css using a grunt build task and have file watchers while developing? My base.sass looks like this: @charset "UTF-8"; /* DO NOT EDIT FILES IN ./css. See ./sass instead */ @import "page"; @import "modal"; @import "nav"; @import "tables"; @import "forms"; @import "message";

  • Tips for resolving Hibernate/JPA EntityNotFoundException

    - by Damo
I'm running into a problem with Hibernate where when trying to delete a group of Entities I encounter the following error: javax.persistence.EntityNotFoundException: deleted entity passed to persist: [com.locuslive.odyssey.entity.FreightInvoiceLine#<null>] These are not normally so difficult to track down as they are usually caused by an entity being deleted but not being removed from a Collection that it is a member of. In this case I have removed the entity from every list that I can think of (it's a complex datamodel). I've put JBoss logging into Trace and I can see the collections that are being cascaded. However I can't seem to find the Collection containing the entity that I'm deleting. Does anyone have any tips for resolving this particular Exception? Thanks.

  • C compiler selection in cabal package

Today I've tried C compiler (Clang) for C code I use in my haskell library and found that I can gain speed increase in comparsing with my system compiler (GCC 4.4.3) from 426.404 Gbit/s to 0.823 Tbit/s So I decided to add some flags to control the way that C source file is compiled (i.e. something like use-clang, use-intel etc.). Snippet of cabal package description file: C-Sources: c_lib/tiger.c Include-Dirs: c_lib Install-Includes: tiger.h if flag(debug) GHC-Options: -debug -Wall -fno-warn-orphans CPP-Options: -DDEBUG CC-Options: -DDEBUG -g else GHC-Options: -Wall -fno-warn-orphans Question is: which options in descritpion file need to be modified to change C compiler used to compile "c_lib/tiger.c"? I did found only CC-Options.

  • django-registration with paypal integration

    - by GrumpyCanuck
I'm trying to figure out how to integrate django-registration with django-paypal. Being a Django n00b, I'm trying to figure out how to implement a flow like this: User signs up using django-registation with 'active' flag set to 0 After registering, send user to PayPal for a subscription When they come back from PayPal successfully, I want to set 'active' to 1 I've been looking at the django-registration documentation and don't quite understand how to use different backends or implement a flow the way I want. Any tips on how to accomplish this would be greatly appreciated. django-paypal won't be a problem for me as I've done PayPal integration before (in PHP for a self-published book about CakePHP).

  • Problem using Hibernate-Search

    - by KCore
Hi, I am using hibernate search for my application. It is well configured and running perfectly till some time back, when it stopped working suddenly. The reason according to me being the number of my model (bean) classes. I have some 90 classes, which I add to my configuration, while building my Hibernate Configuration. When, I disable hibernate search (remove the search annotations and use Configuration instead of AnnotationsConfiguration), I try to start my application, it Works fine. But,the same app when I enable search, it just hangs up. I tried debugging and found the exact place where it hangs. After adding all the class to my AnnotationsConfiguration object, when I say cfg.buildSessionfactory(), It never comes out of that statement. (I have waited for hours!!!) Also when I decrease the number of my model classes (like say to half i.e. 50) it comes out of that statement and the application works fine.. Can Someone tell why is this happening?? My versions of hibernate are: hibernate-core-3.3.1.GA.jar hibernate-annotations-3.4.0.GA.jar hibernate-commons-annotations-3.1.0.GA.jar hibernate-search-3.1.0.GA.jar Also if need to avoid using AnnotationsConfiguration, I read that I need to configure the search event listeners explicitly.. can anyone list all the neccessary listeners and their respective classes? (I tried the standard ones given in Hibernate Search books, but they give me ClassNotFound exception and I have all the neccesarty libs in classpath) Here are the last few lines of hibernate trace I managed to pull : 16:09:32,814 INFO AnnotationConfiguration:369 - • Lucene Error While Reading binary block : java.io.EOFException

    - by tushar Khairnar
Hi, I am getting java.io.EOFException while reading a binary block from lucene index. I am storing java object as byte-array in lucene index field and reading it when hit occurs. Here is stack trace : Caused by: java.io.EOFException at java.io.ObjectInputStream$PeekInputStream.readFully(ObjectInputStream.java:2281) at java.io.ObjectInputStream$BlockDataInputStream.readShort(ObjectInputStream.java:2750) at java.io.ObjectInputStream.readStreamHeader(ObjectInputStream.java:780) at java.io.ObjectInputStream.(ObjectInputStream.java:280) at org.terracotta.modules.searchable.util.SerializationUtil$OIS.(SerializationUtil.java:20) I have some background threads which write into index. But i buffer them and then write them at once like 1000. Occasionally I also issue optimize() on index. When I write, I am re-opening IndexReader. Does this is happening because of IndexReader re-opening call? Thanks. Regards Tushar

  • Connecting to a WCF Service in PHP that has a a NetTCP Binding and a BasicHttpBinding

    - by Justin Dearing
I have a WCF service. It has multiple clients and three endpoints. The endpoint bindings are nettcp, wsHttp and basicHttp. If I attempt to connect to it via php'd builtin SoapClient class like so: $service = new SoapClient ("http://service.companyname.local:6666/Service/?wsdl", array( "location" => "http://service.companyname.local:6666/Service/Basic", "trace" => true, 'soap_version' => SOAP_1_1 ) ); I get the following: PHP Fatal error: SOAP-ERROR: Parsing WSDL: PHP-SOAP doesn't support transport 'http://schemas.microsoft.com/soap/tcp' in c:\www\client.php on line 666 Right now my workaround is to save the wsdl manually and remove the nettcp binding. Is there a workaround that will allow me to use the automatically generated wsdl? Can I hide a binding from the wsdl in web.config? Can I generate different wsdls on different bindings. I don't want to deploy two service hosts.

  • errors deploying an EAR with EJBs 2.1 into JBoss AS5

    - by Marina
Hi, I'm porting an application with EJBs 2.1 from Weblogic9 to JBoss AS5. I have made some of the changes like adding jboss.xml descriptors to EJBs and fixing application.xml of the EAR, but there are still problems when deploying the EAR. Here is a summary of the the latest error I'm getting when the first EJB is being deployed by JBoss (I will add the full stack trace at the end of the message): 14:15:48,124 ERROR [AbstractKernelController] Error installing to Parse: name=vf sfile:/C:/Marina/Tools/jboss-5.1.0.GA/server/default/deploy/contracts.ear/ state =Not Installed mode=Manual requiredState=Parse org.jboss.deployers.spi.DeploymentException: Error creating managed object for v fsfile:/C:/Marina/Tools/jboss-5.1.0.GA/server/default/deploy/contracts.ear/admin -ejb.jar/ .... Caused by: org.jboss.xb.binding.JBossXBException: Failed to parse source: Failed to parse schema for nsURI=, baseURI=null, schemaLocation=http://www.jboss.org/j2ee/dtd/jboss_2_4.dtd .... Caused by: org.jboss.xb.binding.JBossXBRuntimeException: -1:-1 94:3 The markup in the document preceding the root element must be well-formed. Is this a problem with parsing the jboss_2_4.dtd itself? or is it something worng with my descriptors for the EJB? When I try to validate the jboss_2_4.dtd in an XML editor it does complain about a syntax error at line 94:1 , which is the beginning of the first declaration, although it looks fine. Any ideas? Thanks!
