    i have this code which i use to print some fields from the database. My problem is that i get this error about foreach invalid argument supplied and a mysql fetch array problem. The code is this: foreach( $checked1 as $key => $value){ echo "<th> $value </th>"; } echo "</tr></thead>"; while($row = mysql_fetch_array($result)){ Where $checked1 is an array $checked1 = $_POST['checkbox']; What's the problem here?     Is it possible to add a method to an array() in javascript? (I know about prototypes, but I don't want to add a method to every array, just one in particular). The reason I want to do this is because I have the following code function drawChart() { //... return [list of important vars] } function updateChart(importantVars) { //... } var importantVars = drawChart(); updateChart(importantVars); And I want to be able to do something like this instead: var chart = drawChart();<br> chart.redraw(); I was hoping there was a way I could just attach a method to what i'm returning in drawChart(). Any way to do that?

Example: void exp() { double var[2]; exp1(&var[0]); printf("\n varvalue is %lf\n",var[0]); } void exp1(double *var) { //updating the value *var[0]=4.0; exp2(&var[0]); } void exp2(double *var) { *var[0]=7.0; } This should update the value as 7.0(the last update).I am getting an array like invalid argument type of unary(*) .     Is there an easy way to dump an array returned from mysql_fetch_row into a CFArray? (part of the PHP implementation of CFPropertyList) I'm bummed by the lack of documentation on CFPropertyList for PHP. Iterating through each item in the array seems inefficient. I'm open to using a different mysql_fetch_... command. I'd like to just say: $NewArray = new CFArray( $ResultArray ) But that deosn't seem to work.   • How do you send an array as part of an (jquery) ajax request

    I tried to send an array as part of an ajax request like this: var query = []; // in between I add some values to 'query' $.ajax({ url: "MyServlet", data: query, dataType: "json", success: function(noOfResults) { alert(noOfResults); } }); } I wanted to see what I get back in the servlet, so I used this line: System.out.println(request.getParameterMap().toString()); Which returned {} suggesting an empty map. Firebug tells me I am getting a 400 bad request error If I send a queryString like attribute=value as the 'data' then everything works fine, so it has to do with not being able to send an array as is. What do I have to do to get that data into the servlet for further processing. I don't want to pull it out and turn it into a queryString in the JS if I can avoid it. EDIT: I used the .serializeArray() (jQuery) function before sending the data. I don't get the 400 but nothing useful is being sent through.

    I have an array: myarr = []; I'm filling it with some values: myarray['name'] = "Me!"; Now I want to transform that array into a set of Key = Value pairs. I though jQuery would do it automatically, but it doesn't seem to. $.ajax ({ type: "POST", dataType: "text", url: "myurl", data: myarr }); Is there a way to do this or something I'm doing wrong? I get no javascript errors, and no serverside errors other then no POST information at all.

    Let's start telling that I'm passing an x amount of variables via post from a form. Let's name them menu_category_1, menu_category_2, ..., menu_category_x, plus, maybe, menu_category_new (I'm using an if empty to check this last one variable). To make things easier I'm also sending the parameter $key (amount of variables starting from 0). Now I need to set them into a new variable $menu_category (array), which is going to be imploded and then update my database. How do I set up that new $menu_category variable to be an array containing all my variables named in the beginning? I was thinking of using a for loop but I can't come up with something useful.
