    When we create a project, company or whatever we use a folder structure. Is there a software that can allow us to create a folder structure like that of visio and then export the folder structure out and also update existing folder structure with an NEW folders that are added to the folder structure?     I'm looking for software (free or paid) that could perform a weekly automatic backup to an outside server via FTP. I've looked around and all I seem to be finding is either garbage shareware or free tools that are no longer supported. The system will be backing up from a Windows 7 desktop system to a Linux CentOS 5 server. Can someone direct me to a stable, reliable piece of software? This is for business documents so reliability is key.

    I am currently trying to figure out which solution would be best for software renting service (with proper licensing and stuff). I know its kinda stupid and so on, but I just have to develop it. Long story short - user can connect to a virtual machine (with windows guest os) using vnc and use some specific software for some specific time (eg., 1 hour). I have already considered VirtualBox, Xen and some other, but maybe somebody has a better idea. Thanks.

    I need to access the Selected Event of all the listobjects in all the worksheets of my workbook but when I access worksheet.listobject, that object apparently belongs to Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel.ListObject and so doesn't have any events where as the table list object belongs to Microsoft.Office.Tools.Excel.ListObject. And I read that Microsoft.Office.Tools.Excel.ListObject.InnerObject = Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel.ListObject but i don't know how to use it. Pls Help Thanks, Kavita

  • C# Application Calling Powershell Script Issues

    Hi, I have a C# Winforms application which is calling a simple powershell script using the following method: Process process = new Process(); process.StartInfo.FileName = @"powershell.exe"; process.StartInfo.Arguments = String.Format("-noexit \"C:\Develop\{1}\"", scriptName); process.Start(); The powershell script simply reads a registry key and outputs the subkeys. $items = get-childitem -literalPath hklm:\software foreach($item in $items) { Write-Host $item } The problem I have is that when I run the script from the C# application I get one set of results, but when I run the script standalone (from the powershell command line) I get a different set of results entirely.     Hi guys and gals I am less than satisfied in my HTML/CSS/JS debugging of pages with IE6 and 7 specific bugs. I am aware that IE8 has a Firebug clone, called 'Developer Tools' installed. Is it possible to have IE8 installed (maybe on a VM, i don't mind), set it to compatibility mode (is there one for IE6?), then perform JS debugging and live HTML changes, using the IE8 Developer Tools, just like we can in Firebug? many many thanks mieze

  • Standalone firewall + antivirus or combined security tools?

    For years I'm using some antivirus software and different firewall. Now every antiviruses have got some firewall features and there are complete "internet security" complexes... and every firewall get some antivirus functionality and there are "internet security" versions. Firstly, it is hard and sometimes impossible to install and use standalone AV and FW. Sometimes I can't avoid them (i can't install KAV2010 without removing Outpost firewall etc). Secondly, complex solutions have some disbalance. Farewall from famous antivirus-brand is so user-friendly that is not suitable for me (lack of details in Norton Internet Security for example) and antiviruses from famous firewall-brands are still weak, it is proved by tests. What is today best-practices in case of functionality and security?) Some internet-security complex or two standalone applications from different vendors?

    What are your favorite linting tools for verilog? I am currently looking for a good verilog linting tool. And preferably one that can be configured to either handle or ignore certain vendor specific primitives like LUT's, PLL's, etc. I recently tried verilator-3.810, but out of the box it needs a little help with the primitives. So what (linting) tools do you use to deal with the not-so-strict syntax of verilog?

Based on the input it generates a HTML document with various UI components (textareas, inputs, panels, dialogs etc.) Do you have any suggestions for tools/libraries I might use for this?     After updating SDK tools rev to 20, Android emulator doesn't take keyboard input from my desktop keyboard. When press a key of the desktop keyboard, the emulator will dead and I have to kill its process. Android emulator also didn't take keyboard input from emulator own keyboard. But I have fixed this by following the steps in Android emulator doesn't take keyboard input - SDK tools rev 20. Does anyone have some suggestions?

    I am currently using Windows Server 2003 and I want to install Windows XP [SP1 or SP2 or SP3] or may be VISTA. I have may application which I can run on Windows Server 2003 and I am curious to know If I could run the same on XP or Vista. Please help me deciding whether I change my OS or not, here is the List of software and app I want to work on: Visual Studio 2008/2010 SQL Server 2008 ASP.NET MVC and Entity Framework WPF application P.S. : I can create all my application [except WPF] with Windows Server 2003. I have a idea that I can install VS 2008 on XP but not exactly sure about MVC framework and other latest technology stuff.

  • so i got an econ degree...computing science or software systems (software engineering) degree ?

    okay so here's the story. i want to work in developing software (not QA or writing tests), so although I am currently starting computing science this summer, i came across Software Systems (aka s.e.) program which is "applied" but under computing science.... so what is the difference between the 2 disciplines ? if i choose software engineering, would it require more in depth expertise with calculus (i fail at it), and more coding time ? i am looking for a way to write better and more efficient code. I want to go to school, so i wont get lazy. i want to pick a program that would directly aid me in writing and developing software. graduating with an Econ degree in last year doesn't really help in landing jobs requiring comp sci/software engineering degrees....i should've studied harder in Economics (and maybe land a job) but i was obsessed with learning how to program with various languages since day 1 at University, but i didn't think i was smart enough to pass comp sci courses (so i just relied on books + irc...) and my parents said software jobs are being outsourced to India so i thought this obsession was just a "phase" and i should keep it as a hobby. but yes, it's quite funny why i hadn't pursued this field much earlier. as Joelonsoftware.com says economics degree starts with a bang (microeconomics the only course you only need really)....predicting stock prices (ridiculous!) + realizing China's potential power to meltdown US economy and vice versa + interest rate is inversely related to bond premium which is inversely related to stock market it would absolutely awesome if there was a program that combined finance + programming.
