  • Javascript iframe caching issue

    I hava an iframe which loads some javascript via javascript. In internet explorer only, this works if and only if IE has a cached copy of the javascript. This means that reloading the page (or otherwise triggering the script to run again, if it's stuck in a function or whatever) will cause this code to work, otherwise it will not. In particular, the document.write call fails to happen.   • How to get at specific HTML elements of a document using C# and Hide them/Show them etc.

    Basically I want to load a HTML document and using controls such as multiple check boxes which will be programmed to hide, delete or show HTML elements with certain ID's. So I am thinking I would have to set an inline CSS property for visibility to: false on the ones I want to hide or delete them altogether when necessary. I need this so I don't have to edit my Ebay HTML templates in dreamweaver all the time, where I usually have to scroll around messy code and manually delete or add tags and their respective content. Whereas I just want to create one master template in dreamweaver which has all the variations that my products have, since they are all of the same genre with slight changes here and there and I just need to enable and disable the visibility of these variants as required and copy + paste the final html. I haven's used Windows Forms before, but tried doing this in WebForms which I do know a bit. I am able to get the result that I want by wrapping any HTML elements in a <asp:PlaceHolder></asp:PlaceHolder> and just setting that place holders visibility to false after the associated checkbox is checked and a postback occurs, finally I add a checkbox/button control that removes all the checkboxes, including itself etc for final html. But this method seems just like too much pain in the ass as I have to add the placeholder tags around everything that I need control over as ordinary html elements do not run at server, also webforms injects a bunch of Javascript and ViewState data so I don't have clean HTML which I can just copy after viewing the page source. Any tips/code that you can suggest to achieve the desired effect with the least changes required to existing HTML documents? Ideally I would want to load the HTML document in, have a live design preview of it and underneath have a bunch of well labelled checkboxes programmed to hide, delete or show elements with certain ID's.     I'm using the UpdateListItems method of the Lists web service, and I can update an item in just about any kind of list, and folders in non-document library lists, but I can't seem to update the name of a folder in a document library. I must use the web services API, as sharepoint is not local.     I have some serious problems with Technaxx pci-e 302p card. It has uPD720200a NEC chip with 4020 firmware. BIOS recognises it. Sometimes it recognises devices and system mounts them and are functional for few minutes, other times they can't be mount and error occours.   • Grub2 : Windows 7 can't boot installing with Ubuntu 10.04 on different hard drive

    I use a dual boot with two hard disks and two OS is Ubuntu 10.04 and Windows 7. Windows 7 installed on the first disk, first partition. Grub is installed on a second hard disk MBR, and Ubuntu installed on an extended partition on a second hard drive. When I select Windows 7 on the Grub menu, the HDD lamp lights up briefly and then black screen on the monitor, with the status of the keyboard is still functioning.     I need to migrate a number of virtual machines from VMware ESX to CentOS 6 KVM hypervisors. Ultimately, I wrote an RPM spec file that solved my problem at https://github.com/fasrc/virtio-win/blob/master/virtio-win.spec but I'm not sure if there's another RPM in base CentOS or EPEL (something standard) I should be using instead. Originally, I was getting this "No root device found in this operating system image" error when attemting to migrate a Window 2008 VM. . . [root@kvm01b ~]# virt-v2v -ic 'esx://my-vmware-hypervisor.example.com/' \ -os transferimages --network default my-vm virt-v2v: No root device found in this operating system image. . . . but I solved this with a simply yum install libguestfs-winsupport since the docs say: If you attempt to convert a virtual machine using NTFS without the libguestfs-winsupport package installed, the conversion will fail. Next I got an error about missing drivers for Windows 2008. . . [root@kvm01b ~]# virt-v2v -ic 'esx://my-vmware-hypervisor.example.com/' \ -os transferimages --network default my-vm my-vm_my-vm: 100% [====================================]D virt-v2v: Installation failed because the following files referenced in the configuration file are required, but missing: /usr/share/virtio-win/drivers/amd64/Win2008 . . . and I resolved this by grabbing an iso from Fedora at http://alt.fedoraproject.org/pub/alt/virtio-win/latest/ as recommended by http://www.linux-kvm.org/page/WindowsGuestDrivers/Download_Drivers and building an RPM from it with this spec file: https://github.com/fasrc/virtio-win/blob/master/virtio-win.spec Now, virt-v2v exits without error: [root@kvm01b ~]# virt-v2v -ic 'esx://my-vmware-hypervisor.example.com/' \ -os transferimages --network default my-vm my-vm_my-vm: 100% [====================================]D virt-v2v: my-vm configured with virtio drivers. [root@kvm01b ~]# Now, my question is, rather that the virtio-win RPM from the spec file I wrote, is there some other more standard RPM in base CentOS or EPEL that will resolve the error above?   • ghettoVCB issue

    I have setup a ghettoVCB script in order to backup three VM. I put it in a crontab but I have an issue. In my backup folder I have 3 different folders, one for each VM. In each folder I have the following files: -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1263 Mar 17 01:51 vm1-2010-03-16--2.gz -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1263 Mar 17 00:41 vm1-2010-03-16--3.gz -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1261 Mar 18 01:22 vm1-2010-03-17--1.gz drwxr-xr-x 1 root root 980 Mar 19 23:39 vm1-2010-03-19 The problem is the last folder. It seems that a backup didn't finish the process.   • SFTP ChRoot result in broken pipe

    I have a website that I want to add some restricted access to a sub-folder. For this, I've decided to use CHROOT with SFTP (I mostly followed this link : http://shapeshed.com/chroot_sftp_users_on_ubuntu_intrepid/) For now, I've created a user (sio2104) and a group (magento).After following the guide, my folder list look like this : -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 27 2012-02-01 14:23 index.html -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 21 2012-02-01 14:24 info.php drwx------ 15 root root 4096 2012-02-25 00:31 magento As you can see, i've chown root:root the folder magento I wanted to jail-in the user and ...everything else by the way. Also in the magento folder, I chown sio2104:magento everything so they can access what they want. Finally, I've added this to sshd_config file : #Subsystem sftp /usr/lib/openssh/sftp-server Subsystem sftp internal-sftp Match Group magento ChrootDirectory /usr/share/nginx/www/magento ForceCommand internal-sftp AllowTCPForwarding no X11Forwarding no PasswordAuthentication yes #UsePAM yes And the result is...well, I can enter my login, password and it's all finished with a "broken pipe" error. $ sftp [email protected] [....some debug....] [email protected]'s password: debug1: Authentication succeeded (password). Authenticated to 10.20.0.50 ([10.20.0.50]:22). debug1: channel 0: new [client-session] debug1: Requesting [email protected] debug1: Entering interactive session. Write failed: Broken pipe Connection closed Verbose mode gives nothing to help. Anyone have an idea of what I've done wrong? If I try to login with ssh or sftp with my personnal user, everything works fine.

  • Debootstrap Ubuntu over NFS leads to mknod I/O error

    Hi everyone, I'm trying to prepare an Ubuntu environment for a diskless machine that will PXE boot and mount an NFS share as it's root. I've currently got another Ubuntu machine mounting the NFS share and I'm trying to debootstrap into it, but it has trouble creating devices over NFS: root@kimiko:~# mount | grep Seiuchi 192.168.0.203:/mnt/user/Seiuchi on /mnt type nfs (rw,addr=192.168.0.203) root@kimiko:~# debootstrap --arch i386 maverick /mnt http://gb.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ mknod: `/mnt/test-dev-null': Input/output error E: Cannot install into target '/mnt' mounted with noexec or nodev My NFS rule on the unRAID server is 192.168.0.201/32(rw,no_root_squash,sync). I don't have the noexec or nodev options set. I've not got much experience with NFS, so I'm probably missing something basic in the way I'm sharing this, but my attempts at Googling for an answer isn't really turning anything useful up. Does anyone have suggestions on what I might have missed or maybe relevant docs?   • Enable re-attached mouse/keyboard via ssh?!

    I had Ubuntu 9.10 x64 Desktop installed on a nettop I have (that I normally run headless), and yesterday I decided to take the plunge and update to 10.04. So, I plugged in a screen and usb mouse/keyboard, booted up and set to work. It was 1am, and it was telling me it had 3hrs left to install all the new packages, so I unplugged the screen and usb mouse/keyboard, left the box running, and went to bed. This evening, I plugged it all back in again to check progress. It's asking if I want to remove obsolete packages. I do, but neither the mouse nor keyboard work! I can access the box via SSH like I normally do; is there any way I can re-enable the keyboard from there? I'm reluctant to restart the box (via ssh) mid-way through such a complicated upgrade.
