• Track user with log4net for a website

  Hi, I am searching for the best way for track user on a web site based on asp.net. We are using log4net to log some business actions (enter on this page, click on button, etc.). But for multiple users, log file cannot be read easily. So I need add a property 'UserName' on the config file like this : <conversionPattern value="%date [%thread] - %property{UserName} - %-5level - %logger - %message%newline"/> Do you hae any idea about the way to set 'UserName' ? thanks for your help

• Determine how an application is closed

  I am trying to determine if my application is closed through clicking the "X" on the windows form, or if they clicked an "Exit" button I have on it. Right now I am using StackTrace.GetFrame(someIndex) to determine how, but i am looking for a more definitive way since it looks like these frame orders arent guaranteed. Is there a better way to make the distinction? This is a .NET 3.5 WinForm, and Im writing in C#.

  I'd like to measure to distinct user experience points during the rendering of an HTML page: 1) Point which user sees the first painting of the page 2) Point at which user can interact with the page - meaning sees 75% of it or can actually register a button click or link click I am pretty certain these UX interactions can start before the HTML code is fully rendered, so would that instance be the JS func "OnLoad" or some other distinct measureable value/function?
