• Need help in support multiple resolution screen on android

  Hi, In my android application, I would like to support multiple screens. So I have my layout xml files in res/layout (the layout are the same across different screen resolution). And I place my high-resolution asserts in res/drawable-hdpi In my layout xml, I have <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <TableLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:id="@+id/table" android:background="@drawable/bkg"> And I have put bkg.png in res/drawable-hdpi And I have started my emulator with WVGA-800 as avd.   Hello, This one is real simple, run this Silverlight4 example with the ContentType property commented out and you'll get back a response from from my service in xml.   I found a site with some complicated C puzzles. Right now I'm dealing with this: The following is a piece of C code, whose intention was to print a minus sign 20 times. To make the problem interesting, you have to fix the above code, by changing exactly one character. There are three known solutions. See if you can get all those three. But they both contain more columns of data than what is shown in the queries above. Those are just the columns needed for this particular issue. difference contains all rows in sourceWorkflowList that are not contained in targetWorkflowList Now what I would like to do is to remove all rows from sourceWorkflowList that do not exist in difference.   hey guys, i use drew's autoSuggest plugin for some time but up until now I have hard coded my data into my JS, I'm trying to see if I can use AJAX to return the JSON data and query data like that. I seem to have it working but no matter what I try I can't get the results to be shown in the drop down UL it creates via jquery. The JSON comes back as it should.   Using the .NET framework, I'm trying to replace double slash characters in a string with a single slash, but it seems to be removing an extra character and I don't know why.   I'm trying to build my first website from scratch. I mocked up the design in Photoshop, and have been trying to convert into code for a few hours. But I haven't got far. In fact, I'm stuck on the header's navigation bar. It looks right, but it doesn't work. I'm using an unordered-inline list, and trying to link different rectangles in the header. I can't click on anything in the header, though. The code for the html and css files, and a mockup of the header, are below. Any advice on why the header bar isn't working would be much appreciated. • WPF Statusbar Updates - help, I seem to be going round in circles

  I seem to be going round in circles. I have a WPF application that has a main ribbon window with a status bar. When you navigate to a "view" a user control is displayed as the content of the main window. The view has a ViewModel which handles retrieving data from the database and the View's datacontext is set to the ViewModel. What I want is to have the lengthy operation (data retrieval) run on a background thread and whilst it is running the status in the main window to report appropriately. When the background task is complete, the status should revert back to "Ready" (much the same as Visual Studio). How should I wire this together so that I can have the data access code separated out in the ViewModel whilst keeping a responsive UI? I have tried using the BackgroundWorker is various places in the code and I still end up with an unresponsive UI.

  Hello all, I have been working on a project in scala, but I am getting some error messages that I don't quite understand. The classes that I am working with are relatively simple. For example: abstract class Shape case class Point(x: Int, y: Int) extends Shape case class Polygon(points: Point*) extends Shape Now suppose that I create a Polygon: val poly = new Polygon(new Point(2,5), new Point(7,0), new Point(3,1)) Then if I attempt to determine the location and size of the smallest possible rectangle that could contain the polygon, I get various errors that I don't quite understand. Below are snippets of different attempts and the corresponding error messages that they produce. val upperLeftX = poly.points.reduceLeft(Math.min(_.x, _.x)) Gives the error: "missing parameter type for expanded function ((x$1) = x$1.x)" val upperLeftX = poly.points.reduceLeft((a: Point, b: Point) => (Math.min(a.x, b.x))) Gives this error: "type mismatch; found : (Point, Point) = Int required: (Any, Point) = Any" I am very confused about both of these error messages. If anyone could explain more clearly what I am doing incorrectly, I would really appreciate it. Yes, I see that the second error says that I need type "Any" but I don't understand exactly how to implement a change that would work as I need it. Obviously simply changing "a: Point" to "a: Any" is not a viable solution, so what am I missing?

  In SSMS 2008, I am trying to execute a stored procedure in a database on another server. The call looks something like the following: EXEC [RemoteServer].Database.Schema.StoredProcedureName @param1, @param2 The linked server is set up correctly, and has both RPC and RPC OUT set to true. Security on the linked server is set to Be made using the login's current security context. When I attempt to execute the stored procedure, I get the following error: Msg 18483, Level 14, State 1, Line 1 Could not connect to server 'RemoteServer' because '' is not defined as a remote login at the server. Verify that you have specified the correct login name. I am connected to the local server using Windows Authentication. Anyone know why I would be getting this error?
